1- Paraben

The paraben is an ingredient that is used as a preservative. This chemical is used widely in shampoos, foundations, moisturizers, and many more. In the past few years, much research has been done to find out if is paraben safe or not. The result is surprising.

2- Alcohols

As a result, it absorbs both good and bad ingredients into the deeper part of your skin. It may cause system toxicity and irritation. Additionally, it reduces the moisturizers of the skin which makes the skin aging speedy. So, it’s better to avoid PEG.

6- Formaldehyde

Formaldehyde is a flammable and colorless gas that is used widely as a preservative in different types of skincare and cosmetics products. You can find this in nail polish, lotions, makeup, deodorants, etc. This ingredient is highly dangerous to the skin and causes skin irritation. Additionally, it becomes worse if you work in a sealed area without air circulation.

7- Butylene Glycol

The butylenes glycol is another preservative ingredient. It is also used as a humectant and solvent. As with sulfate, butylene glycol isn’t harmful in a small amount. But you know what, a small amount also can harm you. So, it’s always better to be careful.

On the other hand, it has some bad side effects too, such as drowsiness, dermatitis, depression, and hives. So, try to keep it out of the products that you use.
