MiniTool Partition Wizard Review 12.7 (2023)
What Is MiniTool Partition Wizard?
MiniTool Partition Wizard was first released in 2009. As the name implies, it is a disk and partition management tool. However, at that time, MiniTool Partition Wizard only has some basic features like create/format/delete partition, move/resize partition, copy partition/disk, recover partition, etc.
After more than ten years of development, MiniTool Partition Wizard has added many other features like supporting Linux Ext4/3/2 file system / FAT32 up to 2TB / Windows Dynamic Disk / UEFI boot disk, converting NTFS to FAT32 without data loss, migrating OS, converting MBR to GPT, recovering data, etc.
In addition, it offers multiple language support, including English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and Portuguese.

How Much Does MiniTool Partition Wizard Cost?
MiniTool Partition Wizard has 8 different versions. Their prices are as follows:
MiniTool Partition Wizard Free ($0)
MiniTool Partition Wizard Pro ($59)
MiniTool Partition Wizard Pro Platinum ($109)
MiniTool Partition Wizard Pro Ultimate ($159)
MiniTool Partition Wizard Server Standard ($159)
MiniTool Partition Wizard Server Lifetime ($259)
MiniTool Partition Wizard Enterprise ($499)
MiniTool Partition Wizard Technician ($699)
Choose MiniTool Partition Wizard Free
This free partition software has many basic features like create/format/delete/align/wipe partition, move/resize/extend/merge/split partition, convert partition between primary and logical, convert data disk between MBR and GPT, copy data disk and partition, etc.

Among the functions above, I think the most useful function is to move/resize partitions. Many people may want to move the location of unallocated space. This feature can do that.
However, the Free version has ads. Whenever you open the Free version, an ads window will pop up in the bottom right corner of the screen. The paid versions will remove the ads.
Choose MiniTool Partition Wizard Pro
Many people will choose this version because it unlocks almost all paid features while the price is not much high.
It includes the following paid features: change cluster size, change partition type ID, change serial number, convert NTFS to FAT, convert OS disk to GPT, copy system partition/disk, migrate OS to SSD/HDD, manage dynamic disk, and create a Win-PE based bootable media.
Among the functions above, I think the most useful function is to migrate OS and convert OS disk to GPT. The OS migration can save the effort of reinstalling the computer and reconfiguring the software environment. The OS disk MBR to GPT conversion can let users enjoy the UFEI boot without deleting partitions and reinstalling Windows.

However, this version doesn’t support recovering deleted/lost partitions and data recovery. To get these features, higher versions are needed. In addition, the Pro license is valid for one-year usage starting from the purchase date.
Choose MiniTool Partition Wizard Pro Ultimate
Many people will also choose this version because its license can be used on 5 different devices and is valid for lifetime usage starting from the purchase date. In addition, it offers full features including partition recovery and data recovery features.

The data recovery feature was added to MiniTool Partition Wizard in 2019 and is not owned by many other third-party partition management software. It can recover data from an existing/deleted/lost partition, raw partition, unallocated space, the whole hard drive, Desktop, Recycle Bin, and a specified folder.
Choose Other Versions
Do you need to choose other versions? In this part, I will introduce the key differences between other versions. Then, you can decide whether they are worth buying.
- MiniTool Partition Wizard Pro Platinum: Full features, one license for 3 devices, the license is valid for one-year usage.
- MiniTool Partition Wizard Server Standard: Not support data recovery and partition recovery, support Windows Server systems, one license for 1 device, the license is valid for one year usage.
- MiniTool Partition Wizard Server Lifetime: Full features, support Windows Server systems, one license for 1 device, the license is valid for lifetime usage.
- MiniTool Partition Wizard Enterprise: Full features, support Windows Server systems, one license for 99 devices within 1 company, the license is valid for one year usage.
- MiniTool Partition Wizard Technician: Full features, support Windows Server systems, one license for 299 devices anywhere, the license is valid for lifetime usage.
Verdict
MiniTool Partition Wizard has many pros including a simple interface, easy to use, rich and powerful features, multiple free features, multiple language support, and a 30-day refund date.
However, it also has some cons, for example, many advanced features are only available in paid versions, the software is only usable on Windows PCs, some expertise is required to use this software, and the price is a little expensive.
Fortunately, it also has a trial version. If you don’t know whether this software is suitable for you or can solve your problem, you can download the trial version. This version allows you to try the advanced features and preview the result.
