Introduction
The product described here is a corded upright/portable cleaning machine from BISSELL focused on quick, everyday cleanup—especially helpful in homes with pets and high-traffic hard floors and carpets. It blends a motorized cleaning path with a handful of convenience features designed to make short cleaning sessions less fussy and more effective.
If you want a straightforward floor cleaner with features like automatic cord rewind, a long-reach extension wand, and marketing claims that it picks up messes in a single pass, this model is aimed at busy households that want fast results without a lot of setup. Quick verdict: a practical, user-friendly BISSELL vacuum that prioritizes ease-of-use and targeted performance for spot cleaning and routine maintenance.
What’s in the Box
- Vacuum unit — Not specified (inferred)
- Active extension wand (specified)
- Power cord with automatic cord rewind (specified)
- User manual and warranty paperwork — Not specified (inferred)
- Cleaning/accessory brushes — Not specified
Note: The listing does not provide a definitive contents list; the above mixes specified features with reasonable inferences. Where an item was not explicitly listed, it’s marked “Not specified.”
Design & Build
BISSELL has positioned this model toward convenience rather than heavy-duty industrial cleaning. The listing calls out features like automatic cord rewind and an active extension wand, which suggest a design that keeps day-to-day handling in mind: a reachable wand for overhead or tight spaces, and a cord management system to reduce the typical tangle of corded machines.
Materials: The manufacturer’s listing does not specify materials (plastic, metal reinforcements, etc.). Because that information is not provided, assume the typical mix for consumer upright/portable cleaners—sturdy injection-molded plastics with metal components where load-bearing functionality is required. Not specified.
Size and weight implications: Exact weight and overall dimensions are not listed. However, the presence of an extension wand and automatic cord rewind indicates the unit is intended to be moved and stored frequently—so ergonomics likely prioritize a manageable footprint and balance. If you need a lightweight, ultracompact cleaner for travel or apartment storage, confirm the exact weight and size from the seller before purchasing (Not specified).
Ergonomics: The active extension wand and automatic cord rewind are ergonomic features in themselves. The wand reduces bending and stretching for high or hard-to-reach messes, while the rewind button reduces the physical effort and time it takes to stow the cord after cleaning.
Key Features
Automatic Cord Rewind
Benefit: Saves time and keeps storage tidy. No more winding the cord by hand—press a button and the cord retracts back into the unit.
Where it helps: Small apartments, closets, or shared storage spaces where a neat cord is important. It’s also convenient if you clean frequently and don’t want to wrestle a long cable after every session. (source: listing, checked 2025)
Active Extension Wand — Reaches Up to 10 Feet
Benefit: Extends reach for ceilings, curtains, lamps, and other hard-to-reach locations so you can remove dust and cobwebs without a ladder.
Where it helps: Multi-level homes, tall ceilings, and cleaning around furniture or appliances. The listing states the wand reaches up to 10 feet, which is useful when you want to clean high shelves or ceiling corners without switching to a ladder or step stool. (source: listing, checked 2025)
OnePass Technology
Benefit: Designed to pick up debris effectively on the first pass, reducing the number of strokes needed to remove dirt from carpeted surfaces and saving time.
Where it helps: Quick spot cleaning of carpeted entryways, stairs, and living-room rugs where multiple passes are inconvenient. The OnePass claim is manufacturer-provided; individual results can vary with flooring type, debris size, and machine maintenance. (source: listing, checked 2025)
Scatter-Free Technology
Benefit: Reduces the tendency for lightweight debris (cereal, pet kibble, dry dirt) to scatter when vacuuming hard floors, so more of the mess gets captured on the first try.
Where it helps: Kitchens, dining areas, and homes with pets or small children where dry spills are common. This feature helps keep cleanup contained and reduces the time spent chasing scattered particles. (source: listing, checked 2025)
Support for Pets — Every Purchase Saves Pets
Benefit: The listing highlights that BISSELL supports the BISSELL Pet Foundation; purchases help fund efforts to rescue and rehome homeless pets.
Where it helps: For shoppers who want an environmental or charitable angle to their buying decisions, this program adds a feel-good factor: buying the product supports animal welfare initiatives. This is a corporate giving detail rather than a functional feature of the machine itself.
Performance & Use
Setup
- Unpack the machine and assemble any wand or accessory according to the included manual (manual not listed; assumed included).
- Plug the machine into a nearby outlet—this is a corded model, so you’ll need mains power to operate. The listing notes an automatic cord rewind for storage (source: listing, checked 2025).
Daily use tips
- Start with a short test on an inconspicuous patch of carpeting or hard floor to see how the OnePass performance and scatter-free behavior match your floors.
- For high or overhead spots, lock and extend the active wand—up to the 10-foot reach specified—rather than standing on unstable surfaces (source: listing, checked 2025).
- When cleaning dry spills on hard floors, work slowly across the mess so the scatter-free design has time to capture debris.
Maintenance
- Check brushes and nozzles after use for hair or string that can wrap around moving parts—regularly removing buildup prolongs performance and reduces noise.
- Empty the dirt bin or change the bag (if bagged) after each major session. The listing does not state whether this model is bagless or bagged—check product details with the seller (Not specified).
- Use only manufacturer-recommended replacement parts or filters if those are required—filter type and replacement schedule are not specified in the listing (Not specified).
Practical performance expectations
- OnePass technology and scatter-free claims imply faster cleaning on carpets and hard floors respectively; actual results will vary with floor type, pile height, amount and type of debris, and machine maintenance. The manufacturer’s marketing statements appear to focus on efficiency for routine cleaning rather than heavy-duty deep-cleaning jobs. (source: listing, checked 2025)

Who Should Buy
- Busy households that need quick cleanups on a variety of floor types and value convenience features such as automatic cord rewind and a long reach wand.
- Pet owners looking for a machine backed by a company that donates to pet rescue causes—this product supports BISSELL Pet Foundation programs.
- People who prioritize efficient spot-cleaning (e.g., high-traffic entryways, stairs, kitchens) and want a streamlined tool for frequent short sessions.
Who Shouldn’t Buy
- Those who need a fully specified technical vacuum (suction ratings, filter HEPA certification, bin capacity, etc.), because these details are not provided in the listing.
- Users seeking cordless operation for maximum freedom; the model appears to be corded and therefore needs mains power.
- Buyers who require heavy-duty deep-cleaning equipment for large homes, commercial settings, or extensive pet-soiling—this unit is presented as a quick, convenience-oriented cleaner rather than a commercial extractor.

Angel Cobb –
I have been using this vacuum for almost 2 months now.
Pros:
-Very light weight compared to my previous vacuum. I’m able to pick it up to move it up and down my stairs with ease.
-Quiet. My old vacuum was very loud. My cats would freak out and I’d have to wear sound proof headphones to use it due to my sensory issues. This vacuum is quiet enough that I don’t have to wear headphones and my cats chill on the couch watching me.
-Efficient. I vacuum once a week and I have 2 cats. It picks up hair, crumbs, you name it, very easily. I’ve had no issues with its efficiency.
-It was easy to put together. My ADHD makes it very had to follow written instructions. However, putting the parts together was simple and I had no trouble. Also, yesterday, I accidentally sucked up my tweezers when using the hose attachment. I was able to quickly take apart the hose pieces and retrieve my tweezers without any damage. I really appreciate the simplicity of the design.
-I LOVE the retractable cord that stays hidden inside the vacuum when stored.
Cons: None. I haven’t had any issues with this vacuum yet.

This is the third exact same Bissell bagless vacuum I bought in the past 10 years, not because they’re so bad but because they’re so GOOD (I bought one for my mom, and I currently have the other 2, one newer than the other). Great suction, versatile and easy to use hose, and the thing takes a beating. You can totally take the cannister apart and wash every part of it and easily click it all back together.
Know how I know it works really well? Because you can see it working by watching the cannister fill up with dust and hair. Last year we had a pretty bad flea infestation when we moved into our new house, and I watched this thing suck those little critters right up.
I had a Dyson at one time, and I’ve had 2 Kirbys, and I can honestly say this vac works just as well as either, and it’s smaller and much cheaper. A+

Super lightweight sweeper with handy attatchments. Super quality and perfect size to quickly clean accidental messes or for full house cleaning

I’ve had this vacuum for about two months and it works great. The suction is much better than my last vacuum. I like the hose with the handle and the cord rewind is very handy. I use it on carpet and my kitchen’s wood floor — it might miss a little on the wood, but it picks up most debris. My one big complaint is the dust cup size: it claims to be XL but it’s actually small, and I have to empty it at least twice to clean my small living room. My previous vacuum had a much larger cup, and I wish this one did too.
Christopher Winters –
This vacuum is absolutely worth the price. I also have an expensive Shark upright, but this one picks up so much more dirt. The retractable cord is super convenient, it’s very lightweight, and the filter is easy to clean. It’s a bit noisy, but otherwise I have no complaints.

So far this vacuum is pretty awesome. Cord length is pretty long, it’s not too heavy and has attachments. Have bare floor in my house with dogs who shed a lot. This picks up the hair without having to go over it and over it. Has a lot of suction power too. So far everything is working well.
Mindful Meditation –
So far it’s working as expected. Assembly was simple—just snap a few main pieces together and attach the tools. A new vacuum makes a big difference, but time will tell how long it lasts. I’ll update if I notice hair getting stuck in the drum; preventing that was my main reason for buying it since I don’t want to cut hair and thread off a spinning drum.

I usually like wood floors but we’re currently renting and wood isn’t an option. I loathe vacuuming (I’d rather sweep the carpet due to the horrible vacuums I’ve experienced) but whoever designed this vacuum did a really good job. Picks up well, just need to go over the spot once and essentially it’s done. The cord comes in with a push of the button. The filter is washable. Obviously no bag is needed, just dump it from the bottom. Many more very thoughtful features.

I’ve tried many vacuum cleaners over the years, and this affordable Bissel sweeper is fantastic. I used Bissel most of my life, but tried two other top brands in the last decade because my husband likes new gadgets — I’m so glad I came back. It’s inexpensive, lightweight, quiet, easy to handle, cleans remarkably well, and gets edges perfectly. It also does a great job with pet hair. I do wish I had spent a bit more to get extra attachments and features (the ones included work wonderfully). Thank you, Bissel, for a great product, and thank you, Amazon, for the recommendation!
oldtimemx –
Great value — lightweight and easy to assemble. I bought it for my mom but tried it at my house first and was amazed at how much more dirt it picked up compared with my 25-year-old vacuum. My only complaint is the cord could be longer. I’m buying one for myself.

I’ve used a lot of vacuum cleaners in my life, but this cost-effective sweeper is GREAT! I have always used Bissel most of my life so I tried two other top brands the last 10 years just because my husband likes to try new items with great advertising. I am so glad I came back to Bissel, first off, we can afford it, second it is light, quiet, easy to handle, cleans remarkably well and edges great. Second, they take care of our furry friends, Third, I wish I would have spent a little more to get a few more attachments and features (which I’m sure work great because the ones I got work wonderful). Thank You Bissel for a great product and thank you Amazon for recommending fine products!
Will of Indy –
I’ve used this vacuum twice since buying it and so far it does a great job, much better than my 5 year old vacuum (also a Bissell but more on that latter) but that is expected. What is surprising is how well it cleans the high traffic matted areas. I thought because the carpet is 5 years old that the matted carpet could never be restored, it turns out these areas look like new. The carpet is so comfortable to walk on.
As far as the previous Bissell vacuum, I assumed it was worn out causing me to buy a new one. One thing I like to do is take things apart (dishwashers, refrigerators, any small appliance, I save the electronics for hobby and recycle the plastics). What I found during disassembly was a dirty air filter (that I never cleaned) and a large piece of foam (probably from my cleanup during house renovation) was lodged inside the inner airway. Had I known about the air filter (probably should read the manual) and not used the vacuum for cleaning construction projects it would probably still be operating great. The only problem that was not self-caused was the belt would come off periodically.
So far I’m happy with this new vacuum and if I ever need a new one it will probably be a Bissell.

I can’t say enough good things about this vacuum. As the owner of a cleaning business it’s my go-to—there’s no need for an expensive model when something like this performs so well. It makes cleaning much easier: the attachments and height let me reach tight spots without bending over, and it’s incredibly durable. I use it in hair salons and it handles hair like a champ. The cord is long, it’s lightweight, and it picks everything up. I’ll keep buying these for my company.
Lisa Marie Blair –
My review in 3 words: I Love It! The Bissell CleanView Rewind Upright Vacuum arrived at my home last night. It came nicely boxed with some minor assembly required. The assembly instructions are lacking but Bissell makes a great assembly video on You Tube. I watched that and assembly was a snap. Now it was time for a test spin so I selected my Master Bedroom and Bathroom. The first thing you notice is the cord rewind feature which is terrific. I then noticed that the Bissell is easy to move around; not clunky like my old vacuum. There are 5 floor settings and I found the suction to be very strong at the 3rd level when cleaning my bedroom carpeting. I used one of the dusting attachments on the want to clean the baseboard and crevices in the room and it is easy to use and works great.
A great vacuum cleaner!

I’ve bought this exact Bissell bagless vacuum three times over the past 10 years — not because it fails, but because it’s that good. I even bought one for my mom and still have the other two (one newer than the other). Great suction, a versatile and easy-to-use hose, and it takes a beating. The canister disassembles for washing and snaps back together easily, and you can actually see it working as it fills with dust and hair. When we had a flea infestation after moving, it sucked them up without issue. I’ve owned a Dyson and two Kirbys, and this performs just as well while being smaller and much more affordable. A+

I usually prefer wood floors, but since we’re renting that’s not an option. I hate vacuuming—I’d rather sweep carpet because of the terrible vacuums I’ve used—yet this one is a pleasant surprise. It picks up really well; one pass over a spot is usually enough. The cord retracts with the push of a button, the filter is washable, and it’s bagless with a convenient bottom-release dirt cup, plus lots of other thoughtful features.
