Intro

Who is it for? If you live in an apartment or a home with several floor types and want a simple, no-frills machine that’s easy to move and maintain, this model is built to be practical rather than premium. Quick verdict: a solid budget-minded canister that prioritizes maneuverability and simple upkeep over advanced suction tech.

Design & Build
The Eureka Whirlwind canister vacuum is designed with portability and reach in mind. The main canister houses the motor and the 2.5 L dust container, keeping the weight distributed low and forward so the unit is easier to pull across floors and under furniture. The listing states a weight of 8.15 pounds, which positions it among lighter canisters and helps reduce fatigue during longer sessions (source: listing, checked 2025).
Materials appear to be standard injection-molded plastics for the canister and hose connections, with a metal telescoping wand for durability and a plastic floor nozzle. The wand telescopes to reach higher or more awkward locations and retracts for storage; the swivel steering allows the floorhead to articulate around chair legs, table bases and other obstacles.
Ergonomics center on the handle: an airflow control is integrated at the fingertip so you can modulate suction or switch modes without returning to the main unit. The crevice tool is built into the handle, which cuts down on lost attachments and speeds transitions between tasks. Overall, the build favors lightweight convenience over premium finishes — it’s practical rather than luxurious.
Key Features
Fingertip Airflow Control on the Handle
Benefit: Adjust suction without bending down. The integrated airflow control lets you alter airflow or switch surfaces at the handle, which is particularly helpful when moving between delicate upholstery and dense carpet. In practice this means faster transitions — for example, drop suction for curtains or cushions, then increase it for rugs — without a trip back to the main unit.
Where it helps: fast spot-cleaning and mixed-surface homes where you frequently switch attachments.
Multi-Surface Cleaning Head
Benefit: One tool for carpets, hard floors and upholstery. The universal floorhead is designed to perform acceptably across different surfaces, eliminating the need to change heads constantly. That simplicity is time-saving for everyday cleaning.
Where it helps: rental apartments, mixed flooring homes and households with limited storage for extra tools.
Lightweight, Easy to Maneuver (8.15 lb)
Benefit: Reduced arm and wrist strain. At about 8.15 pounds (source: listing, checked 2025), the unit is light enough to carry up stairs or into small rooms without excessive effort. Swivel steering and a low-profile floorhead mean it reaches under low furniture and navigates tight corners.
Where it helps: multi-level homes, seniors or anyone who prefers an easier-to-handle canister.
Telescoping Metal Wand
Benefit: Reach high and low without losing rigidity. The metal wand extends for high-reach tasks (corners, ceiling edges) and shortens for storage. A metal wand is more durable than plastic equivalents and resists flexing under pressure.
Where it helps: cleaning drapes, light fixtures, stairs and behind furniture.
2.5 L Bagless Dust Container & Washable Filters
Benefit: Ongoing running costs are lower. The 2.5-liter dust cup removes the need for disposable bags and the washable filters avoid repeated filter purchases—both reduce long-term ownership costs. Emptying is done with a one-button release to limit contact.
Where it helps: homes with regular light-to-moderate debris and owners who want lower maintenance costs over time (source: listing, checked 2025).
Integrated 2-in-1 Crevice Tool and Dusting Brush
Benefit: Attachment is always at hand. The crevice tool tucked into the hose handle is reachable without digging through a closet; it also converts to a dusting brush when needed. That design reduces lost tools and improves workflow during quick jobs.
Where it helps: spot cleaning baseboards, tight corners, car interiors and keyboard dusting.
Automatic Cord Rewind
Benefit: Faster tidy-up. When you finish vacuuming, the cord retracts into the canister at the push of a button, saving time and preventing cord tangles.
Where it helps: anyone who values quick storage and minimal effort after cleaning sessions.
960 Watts Motor
Benefit: Reasonable power for household cleaning tasks. The motor rating indicates this is a consumer-level unit suited to general cleaning rather than heavy-duty commercial work (source: listing, checked 2025).
Where it helps: average household debris—dust, pet hair, crumbs and everyday dirt.
Performance & Use
Setup is straightforward: attach the wand to the hose, clip on the floorhead and plug in. The handle control makes it easy to change suction settings mid-clean without stopping; the built-in crevice tool means you’ll rarely need to hunt for accessories.
Suction and cleaning power are suitable for routine maintenance rather than deep extraction. The 960-watt motor provides consistent suction for regular dirt and pet hair on carpets and good pickup on hard floors. For dense pile carpets or embedded pet dander, expect multiple passes and occasional manual agitation.
Maintenance is simple: empty the 2.5 L dust cup when it reaches capacity (there’s a one-button release). Filters are washable — rinse and let dry completely before reinstalling. Because the design is bagless, you’ll need to take care when emptying the cup in dusty conditions; do this outside or over a trash can to avoid resettling dust. The automatic cord rewind cuts a small but useful chunk of post-cleaning time.
Practical tips
- For better airflow when vacuuming upholstery, reduce suction using the handle control before switching from carpet to fabric.
- Wash filters every 1–3 months depending on use. Ensure they are fully dry before placing back to prevent mildew.
- Empty the dust cup frequently if you have shedding pets to maintain peak suction.
- Use the telescoping wand and lower profile head to reach under sofas and beds; swivel steering helps navigate legs and supports.
Limitations in use
- Not designed for wet pickup or heavy commercial workloads.
- No specialized motorized pet tool listed; hair pickup may require extra passes.
- Sound level and exact airflow numbers are not provided in the listing (Not listed).
Pros vs Cons
| Pros (evidence-based) | Cons (evidence-based) |
|---|---|
| Lightweight at about 8.15 lb, easy to carry and maneuver (source: listing, checked 2025). | Not listed: specialized motorized pet tool; may need extra passes for embedded pet hair. |
| Bagless 2.5 L dust container with one-button empty and washable filters reduces running costs (source: listing, checked 2025). | No explicit noise level or suction CFM figures provided — harder to compare objectively (Not listed). |
| Fingertip airflow control and integrated crevice tool speeds transitions during mixed tasks (source: listing, checked 2025). | Not a commercial-grade motor—960 W is consumer-level and may underperform on very dense carpets (source: listing, checked 2025). |
| Telescoping metal wand and swivel steering improve reach and navigation in tight spaces (source: listing, checked 2025). | Dimensions and filter replacement part numbers not listed, which could make future purchases or replacements harder (Not listed). |
| Automatic cord rewind for quick storage (source: listing, checked 2025). | No explicit warranty or service terms provided in the listing (Not listed). |
Who Should Buy

Carle Todd –
Just received this two days ago and had the chance to use it last night. Our house is half hardwood and tile and half carpet. I was specifically purchasing this because I needed a vacuum without a roller brush that would pickup cat litter. Our shark vacuum is fantastical but the roller brush always kicks out the litter and small particles. This eureka vacuum was great and picks up the litter and all the fine stuff. The suction is great and the ease of use is definitely there. It’s light weight and easy. I do wish the cord was longer but I understand with it being retractable why it’s not. Overall a great cheap buy!

Compact, Powerful, and Easy to Use!
I’ve been using the Eureka NEN110A for a few weeks now and I’m really impressed. It’s lightweight, easy to maneuver, and the suction is strong enough for both hard floors and low-pile carpets. I love that it’s bagless — the dust cup is easy to empty and clean. The filters are washable, which saves money in the long run. The cord is long enough for my small apartment, and it stores easily. Great vacuum for the price!

I almost never write a review for anything, but this product deserves it. I had a lift around Canister Shark I had used for many years. I always had trouble with the hose and the connections to the wand, but it was a great little vacuum which I had to replace finally as replacement hose and wand etc., are no longer to be found. I ordered the Eureka whirlwind bagless expecting much less in the way of performance and ease of use. Was I ever wrong. This little vacuum is a powerhouse with great ease of use and the light weight I need. Plus it has a washable filter and dust cup, a retractable cord, a big easy to use step on power switch and a power adjust slide at the handle and the price is really good. If it has the longevity of use of the Shark, it will have outdone the Shark in every way at a really good price.

Funciona bien en una casa pequeña, se calienta un poco pero supongo que es normal(no se protege), ideal para los pelos de perro, los absorve bastante bien, incluso los que estan en la sala y cojines.

Let me just prephase this by saying I specifically bought this vacuum because it was brushless.
I have hardwood floors and cats, so I needed a brushless vacuum to be able to suck up the litter without kicking it around everywhere.
I’ve had this vacuum for a couple of months now, and I think I could give a decent opinion.
For hardwood/vinyl floors, it works amazing. It picks up cat litter without kicking it back, along with other dirt and other everyday messes. It’s rather easy to move around, since it’s light. Though, I do wish the cord was a little longer.
Now… it does have a little “switch” on the hose for carpet and rugs… and while it CAN pick up casual messes on my rug, it’s not a deep clean. Remember, this does not have a rolling brush, so if you have hair and such embedded into your rugs/carpet, then it won’t be able to pick that up.
However like I said, I bought it specifically for cat litter on hardwood floors, and with that, it’s an A+. Does its job perfectly.

I needed a vacuum while staying at a friend’s smaller 2-bedroom house for a couple weeks. They have 2 cats and their cordless was on its last legs. I needed something small and inexpensive, with a reasonably large dust bin and enough power to get cat fur out of the thick pile rug while also working well for surfaces. A battery powered model was not going to have the oomph at the price point I was looking for, and an upright wasn’t going to make much sense for cleaning surfaces and hard floors, so I settled on a canister model.
Occasionally I see Miele C1’s for as low as $275-300, and if that was available when I was looking, it would have been my first choice. It’s more than double the cost of this Eureka, but the convenience of a bagged model with excellent suction combined with a proven longevity it would have been a worthy splurge. But there wasn’t one available anywhere near that price on short notice, so I went looking at performance reviews against what was available either nearby or with Prime delivery and I landed on this model.
I knew I wasn’t going to get a powered floor brush for the rug, but I was hoping that the extra power would make up for it. I had higher hopes for the suction-driven brush attachment (I always call these “power paws”) since I have had good luck with them from other manufacturers in the past (Dyson, Miele). And otherwise I was just hoping it had reasonable airflow and suction.
What it does well:
– The team at Eureka clearly studied the competition. The automatic cord rewinder, adjustable suction, top-mounted controls, and stand mode were all clearly inspired by well established canister vacuums like the Miele line; they all worked well.
– The cord rewind lever has you hold it down while the cord rewinds, which I prefer to the automatic version on the Miele if only because it provides a bit more control and guards against accidental retraction
– I appreciated that the rewind lever flips up into a handle to make it easy to carry
– The suction was reasonable out of the box, and the vacuum was moderately quiet even at full power
– The dust bin is quite reasonably sized for such a small unit; larger would be more convenient, but not at the cost of making the machine larger.
What it does not do so well:
– Emptying the bin is messy, like with most bagless models. The pre-filter is not secured to the dust bin well, so it frequently falls off when dumping the contents of the dust bin.
– The power paw (suction-driven brush attachment) is terrible. They mimic the mechanics of the Miele one so I don’t know what went wrong, but it seizes up easily. Hair and fur were easily trapped around the various shafts and against bearings, causing friction. It does come apart for cleaning quite easily (tool free), but I spent more time cleaning the attachment out than I did using it.
– The vacuum lacks the suction to clean even firm woven rugs and mats without a powered brush. It’s unfortunate they didn’t include one with this model because it would have made all the difference.
– The cord was surprisingly short, especially if you follow the manufacturers direction not to pull it out further than the yellow marking—in practice I could only get roughly 12′ from where I was plugged in when accounting for slack to avoid yanking it out of the wall.
Who is this good for?
If you’re looking for a small, reasonably quiet vacuum for hard floors and surfaces that is easy to carry and affordable, I do think this is worth considering. If you have a lot of upholstered surfaces or carpets, large rooms, or want something more allergy-friendly, though, I don’t think you’ll be happy with this model.

I prefer canisters because they’re so much easier to use on stairs, and we moved into a townhome with two flights of carpeted stairs going up 3 floors. This little guy does a great job. Cord is long enough for the length of the stairs, the dustbin is big enough, and the attachments are sturdy.
We have two robot vacs that daily clean the carpets, but we also have two Siberian Huskies that have *all* the fur. So especially during shedding season, I need something powerful to get what the robots can’t (the downstairs robot was about to go on strike as we are at the height of the “fall shed”, and if it weren’t for me going over with the Eureka, the robot would have tried to run away from home). It’s done a great job picking up what they can’t. It’s easy to use, even without a powered brush roll, it glides along easily and still has great suction.
I highly recommend for pet owners. Two Huskies are top notch testers when it comes to vacuums, this one passes their tests.
jnaki –
despite our needs for a longer hose, the unit was quiet enough over the other cannister vacuums we have owned. it is well built and the hose is strong. the problem is/was for us the length of the hose. it does not allow the cannister to sit where it sits and for us to walk away to vacuum. the short hose keeps the vacuum following us where go. it would be nice to have a longer hose that fits this model.
the model is very powerful, but quieter than the other cannisters we have purchased over time. the disposal is simple and works easily. just make sure it is far enough away that one does not inhale the dust that comes out of the disposal technique into a trash container. open the trash container and put the dust catcher inside, then close the container lid to prevent the dust from coming out. the dust and grime comes out easily and a wipe for the exterior dust is done and now it is ready to go again.
a great product, but a short hose…

Amazing suction, great integrated brush, long cord and easy to clean. Anyone complaining about suction going bad after a month or so must not have ever cleaned the filter after use.
For the price, does more than enough.
Never touched the dyson I have after using this one.

I bought this Eureka vacuum and it has exceeded my expectations. It’s lightweight, easy to handle, and has great suction power. It cleans up dust, pet hair, and everyday crumbs effortlessly. I love that it works well on both hard floors and carpets, and the attachments make it easy to reach corners or furniture.
The dust cup is simple to empty, and the cord is long enough so I don’t have to keep switching outlets. Plus, the design is modern and it doesn’t take up much space. Overall, an excellent purchase — great quality, fair price, and amazing results. I totally recommend it!

Running a cleaning business for over 30 years I have used vacuums costing $50.00 to $1000.00. I have to say I am impressed with this vacuum cleaner. It is light weight, compact, NO BAGS TO BUY, great price, and it has a lot of suction. It is a good little vacuum cleaner! The only thing is it is a bit louder than my larger vacuum cleaner and sometimes it has a bit to much suction. Over-all a great buy for my business.

It took them forever to deliver the product and multiple calls to cancel the order. Multiple calls on Amazon product support. Didn’t work. Finally, I will probably return it.

I guess this is highly underrated product , using it since 6 months still has the same power., very rugged machine use it everyday in the Balcony on the Turf also no issues.
Emelleta Salapi –
I love this vacuum. I can drag it around, it’s light weight and gets into places a normal vaccuum couldn’t. It’s easy to clean and put away. Easy to assemble. It’s not too loud. It functions better than the other vacuums I’ve had. It’s also durable. I’ve dragged it around and pulled.

Is exactly as advertised. Light weight, easy mobility, great suction AND a telescoping wand.
This vacuum has another great feature in that the crevise / brush tool is permanently affixed to the end of the hose, with the push of a button it will extend the brush out. Only issue I have is that you cannot attach it the the end of the telescoping wand to enable you to suck up cobwebs or anything higher up than your own arm reach. Other than that, it’s a great buy for the price. Very simple to put together .

I ordered one for my daughter who has a small place but loved it so much. I ordered one for myself. Works on all floor types and the suction is amazing. I love that. It’s small and lightweight and I can carry it around upstairs easily Highly recommend for the money.

I had a bissell zing bagless vac after 8 years of almost daily use it wouldn’t shut off unless I unplugged it, the vacuum was amazing, my floors always felt barefoot clean. I really miss it. This vacuum seemed nice at first but once I started using it the problems became clear.
I had ordered this because it was a good price and offered a pet attachment. The other ones were so expensive. Well the pet attachment is a joke it runs by suction and it’s really noisy, and that’s when it works the belt comes loose easily. With this vacuum while it is quieter is really a pain to use. The hose is bigger than other vacuums so attachments are not interchangeable it loses suction quickly you always have to take the filter off and clean it. I’ve had to do that after vacuuming just the walkway one area rug, and it didn’t even get the rug that clean. The cannister fills up weird. I have to empty it all the time because the pet hair just stays in the initial suction area and does not move into the cannister. It’s not easy to remove the cannister nor is it easy to clean. It’s bulky and not as maneuverable as the bissell zing was. I would not buy this again.
Maja –
Lightweight, easy to use. Great suction and cleans hard floors nicely. Easy to empty and replace container. Cord is retractable and the only thing I wish was different is the length of the cord as you have to keep switching outlets due to cord being a bit short.
