The generator came 3 days sooner than expected, got too use it on camping trip last week end. Tied into grill connection on my camper and it ran perfectly. Very quiet under low loads. It was able to power every thing in my 30amp RV just fine.

The machine was packed very well. As described it is fairly light weight. My daughter said she can even lift it! Not sure on the engineering of this item but was impressed, as I have never seen this done before, with the screw in funnel for the oil! Fabulous idea! No spills whatsoever! On to the business side of the machine. Follow the directions, pull the starter and it started right up. Nice!
Took this out in the field to run two different jack hammers. In the five days that I have used it has worked just great. Having to bust through some granite in post holes. Just remember to unplug the devices before you try to start it up. Very happy with the purchase.

The new Pulsar G2319N is one of the new breed of lightweight generators encased in plastic. It weights around fifty pounds and is highly portable. We set up the device following the recommendations of other buyers that suggested:
    1) Use “synthetic” motor oil. We use the least expensive synthetic motor oil of the right weight from WalMart.
    2) Install an new oil plug with a built-in magnet to catch metal filings. (And sure enough, there are metal filings the oil plug has caught and stopped from circulating in the engine.)
    3) Change the oil every forty hours and after first breaking in the engine.

So far, the generator has worked well as an external power source for power tools like a portable air compressor, an electric chain saw, drills, an electric pressure cleaner, an electric torque wrench, and a reciprocating saw. The generator starts consistently on the first or second pull of the cord and runs as long as needed without any fiddling or maintenance, aside from adding fuel.

As other buyers have reported, there’s an engine surge in this generator when it runs and it must be a idiosyncratic condition of this engine’s design; it speeds up and slows down, and if it was a car engine surging like this we would be concerned, but this is a little one cylinder gas engine. We started adding a small amount of “STA-BIL” — ‘Fast Fix,’ small engine treatment — as a fuel additive when we add gas to the generator, and that helps to smooth out the engine. There is still a slight engine surge even after the fuel additive but you have to listen for it. (“STA-BIL – Fast Fix” fuel treatment is great stuff, and it saved us the trouble of taking our twenty year old Honda generator’s carburetor apart for cleaning or replacement).

There is no external fuel gauge on the Pulsar G2319N but run times on a full tank seems to be around four hours.

This is a good running generator and seems to be well made but it needs to get careful treatment, it has a plastic body and can’t be banged around or handled roughly. These style of small gas generators have been on the market for a number of years so they’ve probably worked the bugs out of them, but there’s always a question about longevity – how long they are going to last. This type of generator is probably not going to hold up running all day on a job-site, but it’s handy and lightweight enough to carry along for those times electric power is needed.

Full disclosure- i’ve only owned this 4000W Duel Fuel generator for 3 weeks, but I’ve already had some good use from it and I’ve been very impressed thus far! I bought this to power my truck camper, and specifically my A/C on the truck camper when it’s very hot. I had been carrying a 2000W Firman gas-only generator prior, and while I can run the A/C on the camper from that, it is nearly maxxed out when I do so I don’t think I could run it for long if necessary, and there is the issue of carrying gas. The storage compartment of my camper requires laying the generator almost on its side to get it in/out of the compartment, and I’ve had gasoline leak into the compartment prior when doing so. No Bueno!!

So I bought this generator, which is virtually the same size and weight as my Firman (which otherwise I’ve been very impressed with as well, btw) but allows me to operate from the on-board propane tanks located in my truck camper. It’s clean and convenient to do so, and this generator runs pretty quietly given it can put out 3,200W continuously and 4,000 surge watts if necessary! It also produces a clean sine wave signal, so I don’t have to worry about frying my cellphone, laptops, etc while charging. It is a few decibels louder than a Honda 2000i or 2200i, but close to 2 x’s the output for a few decibels more. And at lighter loads on eco mode it is still very quiet (which is where it will operate most of the time I’m using it; less than 50% load.)

I bought it and broke it in and tucked it away in the camper to take to the Sierra for one last skiing weekend, and lo and behold, it saved my butt when my diesel fuel gelled and I had to run the Pulsar for 3 hours to power my truck’s block heater to get it started! My Firman could have handled the 700-800W draw as well, but again, nice to pull it out, hook it to the propane extension and fire it up. On that note, with propane I do need to give it a pull or two on choke before it starts on propane, but it runs perfectly once I do so.

I’m at the 5 hour mark so I’ll change the oil again tomorrow which should be the last maintenance I need for awhile. I really can’t believe I found a propane generator with twice the capacity as my Firman 2k/1,600W gas generator for $500 (caught a sale on Amazon.) If my experience changes over time I’ll update, but so far I’m very satisfied with this Pulsar Dual Fuel generator!

I bought this generator in 2021 as a backup for power outages. After proper break-in and storage, it proved invaluable during a devastating storm in 2025 that left us without power for 5 days. It started on the first pull right out of storage, operated quietly, and reliably powered our refrigerator and deep freezer almost continuously. One gallon of gas lasted 8-9 hours when running just those appliances, and it could also handle an air conditioner simultaneously. At times, I used it to power lights, computer, TV, stereo system, AC and a fan. This generator made our 5-day outage quite comfortable. My only wish is that it had a fuel gauge, but otherwise it’s an excellent purchase.

I’d rate it 5 stars, but perfection doesn’t exist. It starts easily, runs quietly, and delivers smooth power.

The Pulsar G2319N generator is truly impressive with its 2,300W output. It combines power with excellent fuel efficiency and operates at a surprisingly low noise level. I particularly appreciate the USB port for charging electronics and the option to connect units in parallel for more power. Being CARB compliant is a nice environmental bonus. Whether you need it for camping trips, emergency backup, or worksite power, this generator delivers. Its compact size, reliability and comprehensive feature set make it an outstanding choice that I can confidently recommend.

After several weeks of shipping this generator to my country, I was finally able to unpack it. Unfortunately, my excitement quickly faded when it shut down exactly one hour after starting it. I haven’t been able to get it working since, and the worst part is that returning it would cost more than buying a new one. I’m going to attempt to repair it myself, hoping the seller might at least replace any damaged parts. I absolutely do not recommend this product.

I’ve been using this generator for about 2 years with absolutely no problems. It performs excellently! I use premium oil instead of the included oil and a magnetic dipstick to protect the engine. First tested it briefly to power a leaf blower while preparing my driveway, and it worked perfectly. I added fuel stabilizer afterward, then recently needed it during a power outage – started immediately and ran flawlessly for 6 hours straight. This is an outstanding choice if you need a compact generator. Great value too – I purchased mine on sale for approximately $299.
