Works really well. I have an Allegro Bus and the rotor/ stator went in the original cummins qd7500 and gonna cost $4000 to fix. I’m in Arizona and needed something that can run the Motorcoach until the repairs are made. This Wen generator runs everything in the coach had to order a l14-30 to 50a adapter to run the 240v to coach. Runs 2 Dometic Penguin ii air conditioners one 15k btu and one 13.5k btu, microwave/ convection oven and TV’s, starlink and outlets for chargers ect. Really happy with purchase. Would definitely buy a Wen again.
The only problem I had was generator kept shutting down every couple minutes (didn’t realize co2 light was on couldn’t see light in sunlight) but moved generator to different position(it was really windy). I guess the wind was blowing exhaust at co2 detector. Since then it hasn’t skipped a beat.
I highly recommend this generator especially for the price.

I was initially drawn to this generator by its discounted price, and I’m thrilled with my purchase. It has all the wattage I require and the added bonus of an electric start. Setting it up was a breeze, and I’m impressed by how effortlessly it started. While I haven’t used it yet, the overall design and functionality are very appealing to me. I highly recommend this product for anyone in need of a reliable generator at a great price.

Overall it’s a good generator. There’s a few nueance things that are a little frustrating with it but not deal breaking or things you can’t work around.

It was easy to assemble and the instructions are generally easy to understand if your mechanically inclined. It’s easy to put the handles on the wrong sides or forget to put the loops on for the pins. But again easy to fix that with the handles being 1 bolt and a pin.

I have the electric ignition one (it was somehow listed at the same price as the pull start only) and it has the pull start as a backup. I haven’t used the pull start so I can’t say how well that works as of yet. The ignition works like a dream. The only downside to me, and again this is strictly personal preference, is it’s a rocker switch. I would personally like a push button. But it starts almost immediately as soon as you rock the switch down.

There were 2 things that kept me from making this a 5 star review of the generator. The 1st being the fine threads on the oil dipstick no matter what, wants to try and cross thread or go in offset. And if it does DO NOT, and I can’t stress this enough, keep trying to tighten it. It’s a plastic dipstick, it will cross thread easily. Instead keep struggling to find it’s perfect spot and it will line up. There’s no way to see if there is any lines to line up unless your laying on the ground or floor of your shop. The only other option is to have someone else help you lift it onto a table.

The 2nd thing is that holding the rocker switch to off on the panel will not shut it off. Instead you have to grab the rpm handles below that and pull it all the way to the left or reach around and turn the gas off. I’m assuming the off on the rocker panel is for the power out of the outlets. Which should have a switch obviously. But it should have an off switch to turn the motor itself off outside of using the shutoff or rpm control.

The fail safes do appear to work. Running it full blast with just a battery charger will make it shut off with a fault, as it should since it’s sending a ton of power into 1 outlet.

The noise level isn’t terrible, I’ve heard way louder generators in my time. If I had to compare it to anything it’s around the same level as a push gas lawn mower. Maybe a few db lower than a mower. So if your just starting it up and leaving it run while your not near it then you’ll be fine. If your on a job site working near it most of the time I would suggest ear protection just because of the prolonged sound.

The generator arrived with a low battery voltage of 4.6 volts that needed charging and completely dry of engine oil. These units won’t start without oil due to a safety switch. I learned the hard way that you need to pour in the entire 18 oz bottle of included oil, as there’s a low oil sensor that prevents starting. Once I added the oil, the engine started up perfectly without any issues.

I bought this generator based on its good Consumer Reports rating and wanted the push button start feature. Delivery was good and assembly was straightforward with all necessary tools included. However, I faced an issue with the battery connection. The instructions mentioned attaching the battery, but it seemed already connected. When the push button didn’t work, I used the pull cord successfully.

Customer support was excellent and quickly answered my call. I discovered the battery terminals had protective plugs secured with a zip tie that needed to be removed before connecting. Once I did this, the push button start worked perfectly. The instructions should have mentioned these plugs or included a picture to avoid the support call. Now I feel prepared for power outages in the Northeast.

I purchased this generator two years ago in preparation for hurricane season, replacing my unreliable pull-start model. After assembly, I tested it with minimal fuel and it started immediately, running smoothly for 30 minutes. I properly stored it by emptying the fuel system before putting it in my garage. When Hurricane Helene approached, I charged the battery and added gas – it started right up, though we never lost power. However, Hurricane Milton knocked out our electricity for days. The generator performed perfectly, running continuously for 81 hours until power was restored Sunday evening. I’ve already recommended this reliable unit to a close friend!

Having endured 5 miserable days without electricity after Hurricane Helene, I’m now committed to being prepared. Never again will I face such a situation – it was a valuable lesson learned!
