Apart from the obvious skill, ‘learning to swim’, there is so much more than just that to be gained from learning to swim. Swimming is an odd one because it’s one of the only subjects that is taught in some schools as a mandatory requirement and it is one of the best life skills that a person can possess, which doesn’t tend to be taught in mainstream schools.
