Check NEET Syllabus

This is the first thing that you have to do. You have to know the syllabus with each and every topic present in it. Take a day and spend the entire day making a proper schedule according to the NEET syllabus that you have before you. You will be studying the same topics in XI and XII, too, so while you are in the school, concentrate on the topics that are present in NEET and make perfect notes of them for your future reference. As you sit down to make a NEET preparation timetable, take into account all the holidays, the days that you might have plans, and omit them. Do not make a strict timetable for yourself as it will hamper your performance and put you under stress.

Make the timetable in a flexible manner so that you can make the most out of it with ease. Whenever you face any kind of unforeseen circumstances, you can just adjust your schedule accordingly without any hassle. So, be flexible with the plans and be open to all the changes that may occur in the future.

Plan Subject and Time Combinations

No one would want to spend a lot of time studying only one subject. It usually gets boring, and it is important for you to switch between the subjects. Never plan to focus on only one subject a day. In most cases, students can study one subject for an hour or two at maximum. So, know your capability and plan the subject+ time combinations accordingly. This way, you won’t commit any mistake in the due process. You can also select the appropriate time for each subject. There are some students who can practice and prepare effectively in the mornings, and you can assign difficult subjects in the morning sessions. Likewise, you can plan the timetable accordingly.

Attempt Mock Tests

The NEET mock tests are available online. Keep on practicing those question papers. It is important for you to know where you are standing while you are preparing. The preparation is just half part of the exam, and you have to focus on practicing. NEET has a vast syllabus, and it is common for students to forget the topics that they have prepared earlier. This is where the NEET mock tests will help you. If you keep practicing these mock tests, you will come across the topics that you have completed till now, and answering those questions will help you in remembering all the things. The mock tests are a boon and make sure to use them to the fullest. They will help you in various ways.

Similarly, practice the previous years’ question papers too. The questions won’t repeat, but you will get to know the level of difficulty and other issues in the papers. You may make a lot of mistakes in the mock tests, but make sure that those mistakes are not repeated in the final exam.

Prepare Notes

While you are preparing yourself for the exam, make a one-page note for every topic that you have completed. This note should contain all the important parts of the topic like formula, any important points to remember, etc. This will help you in the final revision. If you are good with visualization, you can make diagrams and flowcharts to remember the topics. Prepare these one-page notes as you need it and make sure to carry it along with you. Do not write notes in more than one page; your goal here is to remember the things in a simple way.
