What Are the Mount Rushmore of NFL Teams this Season?

The NFL season has been underway for over a month, and we have been able to see what each team can be finally. Today, we are going to be diving into the Mount Rushmore of NFL teams so far and explain what makes them so good, so by no means is this ranking the teams on the list.

The London NFL Games 2022 have been exciting as we have already seen two of the three games this season, and they have been close games. Unfortunately, none of the teams here will have played a game in London this season.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have been one of the best teams, as they are leading the NFL with 31.8 points per game right now. There were questions about how Patrick Mahomes would look without Tyreek Hill, but he has looked very similar, if not better, as he has a 15:2 touchdown-to-interception ratio with a 78.3 QBR and is fifth in passing yards with 1,398 so far.

Their defense needs to step up a lot more as they are one of the lesser defenses as they are giving up 25 points per game thus far, but they should be able to stay in games with their elite offensive weapons and a revived running game.

Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills have been doing extremely well this season and are proving to be arguably the dominant team in the AFC. They are leading the NFL in total yards (440.4), passing yards (324), and second in points per game (30.4) so far, and they have faced some good teams like the Baltimore Ravens and the Los Angeles Rams.

Josh Allen has been dominant as he leads the NFL in passing yards (1,651) with a 14:4 touchdown-to-interception ratio and continues to step up with guys like Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis out wide. They just need to have a respectable running game to make them even more deadly.

They are tied with another team we will mention later, as their defense is dominating as well, with 12.2 points per game so far. Their secondary is hurt, but safety Jordan Poyer has been leading the league with four interceptions and is tied for fourth with six pass deflections and is returning to practice as they get a little healthier here.

Philadelphia Eagles

Arguably the best team in the NFL, the Philadelphia Eagles have been dominating as they have the best record at 5-0 as of this writing. Their offense has been clicking extremely well, as they are second in the sport with 419.8 yards and fifth with 27 points per game. The addition of wide receiver AJ Brown has really helped the offense continue going as well.

They also have been one of the best defenses in the sport as well, giving up just 17.6 points per game after facing good offenses like the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions. Their schedule does not look too difficult the rest of the way, and they could capture the top seed in the NFC by the end of the year if they continue playing well.

San Francisco 49ers

This offense has been through a whirlwind as Trey Lance was named the starter and suffered a season-ending injury, so Jimmy Garoppolo is back under center. This offense is a middle-of-the-pack squad but has elite talent with guys like a wide receiver/running back hybrid, DeeBo Samuel, and wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk leading the way through the air while running back Jeff Wilson Jr has done well on the ground.

The defense has been absolutely incredible as they are leading the NFL with 249.2 total yards allowed per game and are tied with the Bills with 12.2 points per game allowed, with no teams scoring 20 points against them thus far.

They force a lot of pressure as they are leading the NFL with 21 total sacks, including defensive end Nick Bosa being tied for the league lead with six sacks thus far.
