WSOP Europe 2019
Next month on October 13th we will see the beginning of the World Series of Poker Europe. This year the iconic event will be taking place in King’s Resort Casino in the small town of Rozvadov in the Czech Republic. There is still an opportunity to attend the event by purchasing some hotel rooms in the surrounding areas or if you prefer you can play online poker instead. In this article, we will inform you of the specifics you might want to know about the event.

Recent news
In the approach to WSOP Europe, there has been a lot of newsworthy stories. One of the most exciting is that there are more bracelets to be won than ever at WSOPE – there are now 15 events. After some rather critical feedback, the King’s Resort said they are “happy to add some mixed games and some bigger buy-in tournaments in order to encourage more players to make the trip”. By adding in these additional events, of course, the prize pot will increase. The €10,000 buy-in Main Event will feature a €5 million guarantee, and the two starting flights will take place on October 25th and 26th.

In other news, Daniel Negreanu is once again selling a piece of the action at the legendary tournament. His vlogs will be returning throughout the series so you can gather some updates first hand. Be sure to watch out for more information on these as they are released closer to the tournament.
Location assistance
The location of the WSOPE this year is in the Czech Republic, right on the border with Germany. The casino is located roughly between Prague and Munich but other than that the immediate surrounding area is pretty desolate. The King’s Resort does have many rooms and suites to take advantage of but many of them will already be booked. If you head slightly east and into Germany, you’ll discover a few more hotels on the other side of the border which are only a short drive away.
If you are looking for excursions to take after the tournament, perhaps you could spend some of your winnings on taking in the sights. Head into the capital of Prague and enjoy the breath-taking architecture of St Vitus Cathedral and the Powder Tower, of course, there are bars and restaurants as far as the eye can see for you to experience some local cuisine. If you wish to explore the history of Europe, you can visit towns in Germany such as Nuremberg, Leipzig, and Dresden, all of which have a rich history surrounding the Nazis and World War II.
After a stressful tournament, perhaps you just want to wind down and enjoy some relaxation. Head just North of nearby town Weiden and enjoy their spa facilities, or immerse yourself in nature and go hiking in the surrounding forests.
