Unfortunately, the wheel kit was missing the axle upon delivery, which suggests poor quality control. Customer service was helpful, providing a replacement axle under warranty at no cost, though standard shipping took several days.
After receiving the axle, the generator has performed well for 10 hours of break-in. I did need to adjust the spark plug gap from the incorrect factory setting of .018 to the proper .030 when it started sputtering. As an auto technician, this was a simple fix. Overall, I recommend this unit – it’s well-constructed, fuel-efficient, and features AVR regulation instead of capacitor regulation, which is better for electronics.
