Dr. J. –
Seems great so far. Wait for a sale – price goes down significantly
Phil K. –
The machine was packed very well. As described it is fairly light weight. My daughter said she can even lift it! Not sure on the engineering of this item but was impressed, as I have never seen this done before, with the screw in funnel for the oil! Fabulous idea! No spills whatsoever! On to the business side of the machine. Follow the directions, pull the starter and it started right up. Nice!
Took this out in the field to run two different jack hammers. In the five days that I have used it has worked just great. Having to bust through some granite in post holes. Just remember to unplug the devices before you try to start it up. Very happy with the purchase.

The generator came 3 days sooner than expected, got too use it on camping trip last week end. Tied into grill connection on my camper and it ran perfectly. Very quiet under low loads. It was able to power every thing in my 30amp RV just fine.

I will start with some numbers:
It started on the 8th pull on propane, I alternated between two pulls on choke and two pulls on run, on the 8th pull it started.
I did bleed the air out of the propane hose before trying to start it, idle was turned Off and it ran unexpectedly smooth and quiet I have to admit that was a pleasant surprise. Sound level no load was 58 to 59 decibels 20 ft away (high speed), it was sitting on concrete. It ran on idle at 3,240 RPMs and 3,860 RPMs at high speed no load.
I let it run for about 10 minutes before putting a load on it, first load a heater running at1,380 Watts second load another heater running at 860 Watts.
So about 2,240 w at 120 volts, I did not have an adapter during the test to use the 30 amp outlet so I had to run the test out of the 20 amp outlet, I was using about 18.6 amps and I was starting to feel uncomfortable with that number, the outlet was warm and the spades on the extension were hot to the touch so I did not add any more loads, I recommend treating the 20 amp outlet as a 15 amp max outlet to avoid a problem. The engine RPM with the two loads was between 4,260 and 4,280 RPMs, I ran the engine a total of 25 minutes.
Full disclosure, I installed an hour and RPM meter myself that’s where I got the numbers from, I used a phone app to measure decibels
UPDATE: Feb 4 2025.
It started cold on 3rd pull.
I now have the 30 amp adapter that I needed and I connected to a 50′ extension and back to a 3 outlet – 20 amp connector, I installed 3 Kill a Watt meters and a heater to each one of the 20 amp outlets, I used different heat settings to try different loads,
At ~2,720 watts the RPM’s were ~4,580, at ~3,100 watts* the RPM’s were ~4,610. The generator ran smooth and the green indicator was solid, it ran about 5 minutes at the max load no problems on Propane.
* The RPM.s and wattage were variables and I used an average. I had a one hour timer for running time, I removed all loads at the 50 min mark and set the generator on idle speed and let it cool down. I turned it off waited 5 minutes and it started on one pull, turned it off again waited another 5 and it started on the first pull again.
I changed the oil while it was hot and used 10W30 full synthetic.
I know 1.1 hours prove nothing as far as longevity but it met and slightly surpassed manufacturers specs.
118.7 Volts at full load.
59.9 Hertz at full load
26.12 Amps at full load
I hope this information is found helpful.

I got this in January 2024, which is when this was still a new unit on the market. When I got it, it was definitely a little flawed and rough around the edges. Correctable things. Once corrected, this has turned out to be a pretty descent generator. I wish they could get this to be CARB compliant again as it cannot be purchased in my region now.
Here is the list of things that were wrong with this early batch:
1. Rattling wheels. Can take apart and shim to make the rattle go away.
2. Valve lash clearances way wrong. Had to manually adjust straight out of the box. My understanding from more recent reviews is they fixed this problem. A problem with an early unit.
3. Spark plug. The spark plug in this unit was complete garbage. Totally could not handle propane, in general the crappy material the spark plug was made of quickly corroded in real world use as in an hour or two the material was shot, and the generator with both the valve lash clearance issue and the spark plug issue would idle so rough that the generator would surge and sputter until it got out of whack enough to stall. Changing the spark plug and adjusting the valve lash clearances fixed this. Also re-gapped for propane optimized operation. A descent spark plug works just fine, so why not just start with a good one instead of some cheap Chinese knock-off plug?
4. Even after making these adjustments, the generator still idles a bit rough on propane. Under any load and it sounds fine. All of the digging into this I did came up with in order to get to CARB compliance, they had to lean it out. So, probably why this generator is no longer CARB compliant. But really, it runs and from what I hear many generators idle a little rough when CARB compliant due to running on the lean side. It sounds like the engine on the older model handles running lean a little better than this engine, so this is a regression between the models in this line. This is really a small thing after correcting out the other issues that exacerbated it.
5. Clean electric output. This is an inverter generator with floating a floating (unbonded) neutral. This is not specific to this generator, but instead how all of them are setup and even stand-alone inverters. You need a ground-neutral bond. You can get a cheap plug to bond it. I went as far as making a TT-30 adapter cable to bond it that I then plug my long TT-30 extension cable into. When you look at the electrical output, night and day how much cleaner the output is with this bond. These inverters just need a capacitative reference voltage to stabilize the output and the generator chassis helps a lot with this. It is also a lot safer and more in NEC compliance to have a ground-neutral bond. If you are powering an RV, you probably also want an Earth ground and for backup power to your house, you want to tie into house ground. Even cleaner inverter output, better than the grid with this grounding with a ground-neutral bond in place. Just don’t use a suicide plug with hot and neutral as you may harm an electrical worker trying to restore your power. Instead, only hook up generator ground to house ground. If you want to be a little ‘lazy’ about it, I built a simple adapter cable that has an extra ground wire split off with a lighted plug on the end that only has ground hooked up so I can hook generator ground to house ground by simply plugging into the extension cord running into my house from the generator and then plugging into a wall outlet to only hook up ground. The plug going into the house outlet will light up when utility power is back. With this setup, I have plugged my computer UPS into the generator and the UPS sits fine and happy and the computer happily accepts this power. I did a test with some old analogue security camera’s floating around and without the ground-neutral bond, they had trouble even turning on and when I did get one to turn on, full of strong harmonic distortion. Just doing the ground neutral bond helped out a lot and adding the house ground, the video was cleaner on generator power than grid power. So yeah, with electronics, you need these things. The equipment is inherently good, just needs to be hooked up right.
With issues corrected, both me fixing up my generator and reports I have of newer batches having key issues fixed, I added a star back. For the price this is a good generator. It would be nice if they could work out something to get this generator CARB compliant again.
And there are things about this generator that are nicer than the previous 4000W model:
1. This has a nice display that gives you a lot of useful information. The older model does not have this. Really, if you want to see what is going on and get what you need to say track when it is time to do maintenance again, it is so much easier when you can get the information straight off the generator.
2. Outlets on the generator. The older model gives you an old L5-30 plug and a NEMA 5-15. A bit janky. This model gives you a TT-30 (Travel Trailer) plug, something you see at campgrounds, and two NEMA 5-20 plugs. That is just much nicer. And if you go camping, you can alternate between using your extension cord to the power box at the campground and plugging into this generator when the box is not available with the same extension cord.
3. Larger gasoline tank. While I prefer to only use propane, if you do use gasoline, this has twice the fuel tank capacity. The difference between a very short run time and a useful run time.
4. Wheel kit. The older one doesn’t have a wheel kit. This generator is light enough to not really need it and the rear isolator feet are too far back and the wheels don’t protrude out enough, so the back of the generator drags as you use the wheel kit, plus you need to fix the rattle, but there is technically a wheel kit on the newer generator.
5. Reports I have seen suggest the newer model is slightly quieter than the older model.

The new Pulsar G2319N is one of the new breed of lightweight generators encased in plastic. It weights around fifty pounds and is highly portable. We set up the device following the recommendations of other buyers that suggested:
1) Use “synthetic” motor oil. We use the least expensive synthetic motor oil of the right weight from WalMart.
2) Install an new oil plug with a built-in magnet to catch metal filings. (And sure enough, there are metal filings the oil plug has caught and stopped from circulating in the engine.)
3) Change the oil every forty hours and after first breaking in the engine.
So far, the generator has worked well as an external power source for power tools like a portable air compressor, an electric chain saw, drills, an electric pressure cleaner, an electric torque wrench, and a reciprocating saw. The generator starts consistently on the first or second pull of the cord and runs as long as needed without any fiddling or maintenance, aside from adding fuel.
As other buyers have reported, there’s an engine surge in this generator when it runs and it must be a idiosyncratic condition of this engine’s design; it speeds up and slows down, and if it was a car engine surging like this we would be concerned, but this is a little one cylinder gas engine. We started adding a small amount of “STA-BIL” — ‘Fast Fix,’ small engine treatment — as a fuel additive when we add gas to the generator, and that helps to smooth out the engine. There is still a slight engine surge even after the fuel additive but you have to listen for it. (“STA-BIL – Fast Fix” fuel treatment is great stuff, and it saved us the trouble of taking our twenty year old Honda generator’s carburetor apart for cleaning or replacement).
There is no external fuel gauge on the Pulsar G2319N but run times on a full tank seems to be around four hours.
This is a good running generator and seems to be well made but it needs to get careful treatment, it has a plastic body and can’t be banged around or handled roughly. These style of small gas generators have been on the market for a number of years so they’ve probably worked the bugs out of them, but there’s always a question about longevity – how long they are going to last. This type of generator is probably not going to hold up running all day on a job-site, but it’s handy and lightweight enough to carry along for those times electric power is needed.

Full disclosure- i’ve only owned this 4000W Duel Fuel generator for 3 weeks, but I’ve already had some good use from it and I’ve been very impressed thus far! I bought this to power my truck camper, and specifically my A/C on the truck camper when it’s very hot. I had been carrying a 2000W Firman gas-only generator prior, and while I can run the A/C on the camper from that, it is nearly maxxed out when I do so I don’t think I could run it for long if necessary, and there is the issue of carrying gas. The storage compartment of my camper requires laying the generator almost on its side to get it in/out of the compartment, and I’ve had gasoline leak into the compartment prior when doing so. No Bueno!!
So I bought this generator, which is virtually the same size and weight as my Firman (which otherwise I’ve been very impressed with as well, btw) but allows me to operate from the on-board propane tanks located in my truck camper. It’s clean and convenient to do so, and this generator runs pretty quietly given it can put out 3,200W continuously and 4,000 surge watts if necessary! It also produces a clean sine wave signal, so I don’t have to worry about frying my cellphone, laptops, etc while charging. It is a few decibels louder than a Honda 2000i or 2200i, but close to 2 x’s the output for a few decibels more. And at lighter loads on eco mode it is still very quiet (which is where it will operate most of the time I’m using it; less than 50% load.)
I bought it and broke it in and tucked it away in the camper to take to the Sierra for one last skiing weekend, and lo and behold, it saved my butt when my diesel fuel gelled and I had to run the Pulsar for 3 hours to power my truck’s block heater to get it started! My Firman could have handled the 700-800W draw as well, but again, nice to pull it out, hook it to the propane extension and fire it up. On that note, with propane I do need to give it a pull or two on choke before it starts on propane, but it runs perfectly once I do so.
I’m at the 5 hour mark so I’ll change the oil again tomorrow which should be the last maintenance I need for awhile. I really can’t believe I found a propane generator with twice the capacity as my Firman 2k/1,600W gas generator for $500 (caught a sale on Amazon.) If my experience changes over time I’ll update, but so far I’m very satisfied with this Pulsar Dual Fuel generator!
Amazon Customer –
I live on a small (several acres) rural property. I’m 79 years old and spend a lot of time taking care of the property. Small gasoline engines are kind of the bane of my existence. Electric tools are so much easier, but then you have to deal with extension cords. With this generator, all of the issues are resolved and I have only one gas engine to deal with. The generator is light enough I can lift and carry it (or put it in a trailer) and it runs anything. It started easy the first time and continues to do so. It has enough power to run the heat pump/air conditioner on our RV so electric tools are no issue. It just works.

I bought this generator in 2021 as a backup for power outages. After proper break-in and storage, it proved invaluable during a devastating storm in 2025 that left us without power for 5 days. It started on the first pull right out of storage, operated quietly, and reliably powered our refrigerator and deep freezer almost continuously. One gallon of gas lasted 8-9 hours when running just those appliances, and it could also handle an air conditioner simultaneously. At times, I used it to power lights, computer, TV, stereo system, AC and a fan. This generator made our 5-day outage quite comfortable. My only wish is that it had a fuel gauge, but otherwise it’s an excellent purchase.
Odaymis Silva –
The product was delivered in flawless condition and performs excellently.
Dr. J. –
I’m enjoying it up to this point. Hold off on purchasing until there’s a discount – the price drops considerably.
mr Mike –
I’d rate it 5 stars, but perfection doesn’t exist. It starts easily, runs quietly, and delivers smooth power.

The Pulsar G2319N generator is truly impressive with its 2,300W output. It combines power with excellent fuel efficiency and operates at a surprisingly low noise level. I particularly appreciate the USB port for charging electronics and the option to connect units in parallel for more power. Being CARB compliant is a nice environmental bonus. Whether you need it for camping trips, emergency backup, or worksite power, this generator delivers. Its compact size, reliability and comprehensive feature set make it an outstanding choice that I can confidently recommend.

I initially tested it exclusively on our refrigerator when it arrived. It appears to be effective for its intended purpose.
Luis –
Perfect, it is of very good quality, has a great design, good price and quality. I recommend it 100 percent. Available.

After several weeks of shipping this generator to my country, I was finally able to unpack it. Unfortunately, my excitement quickly faded when it shut down exactly one hour after starting it. I haven’t been able to get it working since, and the worst part is that returning it would cost more than buying a new one. I’m going to attempt to repair it myself, hoping the seller might at least replace any damaged parts. I absolutely do not recommend this product.
Ed –
I’ve been using this generator for about 2 years with absolutely no problems. It performs excellently! I use premium oil instead of the included oil and a magnetic dipstick to protect the engine. First tested it briefly to power a leaf blower while preparing my driveway, and it worked perfectly. I added fuel stabilizer afterward, then recently needed it during a power outage – started immediately and ran flawlessly for 6 hours straight. This is an outstanding choice if you need a compact generator. Great value too – I purchased mine on sale for approximately $299.
