I purchased the I Power generator as a replacement for my older, outdated model to use during our frequent and sometimes lengthy power outages during storms. It lives up to all its advertised features – quiet operation, portability, easy starting, efficiency, and reliability. The control center is impressive with excellent safety features including CO monitoring, engine controls, operating data, and alarms. It runs so quietly that I can only hear it when I’m in the closest room (about 30 feet away). Thanks to the inverter technology, it produces clean power that doesn’t interfere with radio reception, and I can safely connect sensitive electronics like my laptop without worrying about damage.

I selected this generator specifically because it claimed to be “Ultra-Quiet,” but it’s incredibly loud – comparable to a fire engine, disturbing our neighbors. The unit is excessively heavy, requiring two people to prepare it. After adding oil and fuel, white smoke began emerging when my husband tested it. Despite multiple attempts, it remained unusable. Most frustrating was Amazon’s return policy contradiction – their website promised returns/exchanges for issues, but when I called, they directed me to the manufacturer instead. Now I’m stuck with this non-functional generator taking up space in my garage.
