With 297 watt-hours of capacity and 350W output (600W surge), this unit is ideal for charging phones, laptops, and running small devices like air pumps or lights. Calculate your devices’ power consumption to ensure the Yeti 300 meets your needs. For reference, it can charge a smartphone approximately 25 times or run a small LED light for several days.

Considering Your Activities

The Yeti 300 is particularly well-suited for specific activities:

  • Camping: Compact size (13.7 pounds) makes it portable enough for weekend trips
  • Tailgating: Power small appliances and charge devices

  • Outdoor Events: Provide reliable power where outlets aren’t available

Battery Technology and Lifespan

The Yeti 300 features advanced LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery technology, offering significant advantages:

Charging Options and Speed

Consider how you’ll recharge the Yeti 300:

  • Wall Outlet (AC): Full charge in approximately 50 minutes using high-speed charging mode
  • Solar Panel: Compatible with Goal Zero solar panels (sold separately) for off-grid charging
  • Car Charger: Check if additional adapters are needed for vehicle charging

  • IPX4 water resistance rating (protected against splashing water)
  • Dust protection
  • Meets UL2743 safety requirements
  • Designed to function in extreme temperatures

Available Ports and Connectivity

The Yeti 300 includes multiple output options:

  • AC outlet (120V, 350W continuous/600W surge)
  • USB ports for device charging

  • Solar charging input port

Verify that the available ports match your specific device requirements.

Price Considerations

When evaluating the cost of the Yeti 300:

  • Compare cost-per-watt-hour with similar portable power stations
  • Factor in the long lifespan (4,000+ cycles) when considering value

I bought this 700 since I have a full size CPAP machine with the humidifier that I need when I go camping. Was able to charge multiple other devices over night (phone, hearing aid, watch) while I was sleeping and it got down to under 50%. It charges fast, which is why I bought it over the older 1000. Not cheap but if you compare to CPAP batteries that you can’t really use the humidifier with due to capacity, you’re ahead of the game and you can charge other things. I store it in my work office and can use it to back up computers, modems, etc. in case of a power outage. I also have an older Yeti 3000 that I love.

Edited because I am on my third 700. Customer service has been great replacing the first one that I used a few times and the second one that I never used until I tested it for a camping trip at which point it died. Both units let smoke out so there is no point in trying to reset. So we will see how this third one works. Hope there were simple engineering problems that are sorted by now. My Yeti 3000 is like 6 years old and I have used it a lot with no issues. I trust the brand and my experiences with them are positive. Maybe I had some bad luck with the 700.

Great size to keep my laptop PC online in the middle of no where. Not enough juice to run appliances but lights NP. It is a bit heavy, but the size is great for packing (like oversized ammo box). Seems to hold a great charge whereas I am pressed to draw it down below 40%. It charges very fast off household outlets. If they had a 1800 Watt battery in this size and weight, I would buy it in a heartbeat. Very happy with purchase.

Gets the job done! Gives the JBL Partybox some extra juice, allows ppl to charge phones, etc. My only issue is how quickly the battery depletes once it hits 20%. I’ve used it to power a standard 32″ flatscreen and I get about 4hrs out of it (without using any other ports). Unfortunately, it hits 20% around 3hrs and 45min and then boom goes dead in less than 15min.

Because of storms or a drunk hitting a power pole we can lose electricity. Just recently used and was able to monitor through the app on my cell. It has three different charging modes to maintain the battery’s health. I keep it plugged into a wall outlet but it can be charged via solar or car 12 volt. (Solar and car requires buying separate cables). You can operate or charge almost anything, too many outlets to describe here. Solidly built, a late sixty year old can carry it around. I am looking to buy a larger one for my full size refrigerator.

I bought this to charge bateries and internet while traveling to the Artic Circle last year. I would charge it up while driving during the day and bring into the tent at night to recharge all of my electronics. I recently bought a little fridge for the back of the Jeep and it works really well.

My original review was not a positive one because our system quit working and we could not get any customer service response while they were doing some kind of system switch over, but since the original review they have gotten back to me and they have made it right. They have sent us a brand new battery and the information to return the old battery without any cost to us. They have been great with rectifying the issue.

Was good until it stopped working right under a year and we have been trying to get a hold of customer service with Goal Zero for three months and cannot get a response. We have opened 2 tickets over the past couple of months and tried calling. When calling, on hold for over 30 mins and then the call drops, this has happened 7 or 8 times.

I was stoked for this product given its light weight and functionality but I am incredibly disappointed. I took this out on 2 separate camping trips and it died both nights charging a single phone. It charges up quick but clearly that doesn’t mean anything if it can’t charge a single phone! Whatever you do, dont buy this product for any reason

I have two and encourage friends to purchase one. Neither of us have had the need so far to put them to the test. The quality appears to be outstanding. My daughter uses hers regularly on camping trips and at gun shows in order to run her computer. She swears by it hence my decision to purchase mine. I recommend them.
