Introduction

This is a lightweight corded stick vacuum that converts into a compact handheld for cleaning floors, furniture, and hard-to-reach spots. It’s built for people who want simple, powerful corded performance without hauling a heavy upright or switching between multiple machines.

Who it’s for: apartment dwellers, pet owners with moderate shedding, and anyone who needs a quick, floor-to-ceiling solution that’s easy to store and maneuver. Quick verdict: a capable, no-frills corded stick vacuum that prioritizes low weight and versatility over extra bells and digital frills.

What’s in the Box

  • Main stick vacuum (converts to handheld) — Not specified: model name
  • Wand with swivel steering mechanism — Not specified: exact length
  • Upholstery Tool
  • Anti-Allergen Dust Brush
  • Crevice Tool
  • Hook on the bottom of the wand for hanging storage
  • Manufacturer paperwork including 5-year limited warranty (source: listing, checked 2025)

If anything else (extra filters, extension hoses, motorized mini-heads) is included, the listing does not specify them.

Design & Build

This unit is designed around lightness and straightforward utility. At under 9 lbs. (source: listing, checked 2025), it’s noticeably lighter than many traditional uprights, which makes carrying it between floors and maneuvering for extended cleaning sessions easier on your shoulders and back.

Materials and construction: the listing does not provide specific materials, but the vacuum appears to use a combination of molded plastic for the body and wand, with rubberized details at contact points to aid grip and durability — typical for this class of cleaner. The dust cup is clear plastic so you can see when it needs emptying.

Ergonomics: fingertip controls on the handle allow quick surface changes without stooping, and swivel steering at the cleaner head improves navigation around chair legs and tight furniture gaps. The wand accepts the included attachments and can also be removed to create a compact handheld form — handy for stairs, car interiors, and upholstery.

Storage: the wand has a built-in hook on its base so you can hang the handheld portion from the stick for compact vertical storage. This keeps the unit off the floor and ready to grab.

Durability and warranty: the manufacturer provides a 5-year limited warranty (source: listing, checked 2025), which suggests confidence in core components but be sure to read the warranty for what it covers.

Key Features

Ultra-lightweight design

Benefit: Weighing under 9 pounds makes this cleaner simple to carry up and down stairs and reduces fatigue when cleaning wider areas. For households with multiple levels or older adults who find heavy vacuums difficult, the reduced weight is a practical advantage.

Corded power with consistent suction

Benefit: Because it plugs in, you don’t need to worry about battery runtime or recharge gaps. The listing asserts continual suction and power, which is useful when tackling longer sessions or deep-cleaning carpets without a drop-off in performance (source: listing, checked 2025). Best for users who prefer steady, uninterrupted operation.

Convertible hand-vacuum mode

Benefit: The wand detaches to convert the unit into a compact handheld, making it easy to clean stairs, drapes, upholstery, and car interiors. If you frequently spot-clean or need to reach above-floor surfaces, this conversion saves you from owning a separate handheld appliance. (Secondary keyword used: handheld vacuum.)

Fingertip controls for surface switching

Benefit: Controls located on the handle let you toggle between floor types (e.g., hard floors vs. carpet) without bending over. This is helpful when moving quickly from kitchen tile to living-room carpet and keeps cleaning flow uninterrupted.

Swivel steering for tight maneuvering

Benefit: The floorhead pivots to help you navigate around chair legs, table bases, and narrow spaces. If your home has lots of furniture clusters or tight corners, swivel steering reduces the effort of repositioning the vacuum.

Easy-empty dust cup

Benefit: The clear, quick-release dust cup empties without contacting the debris, which speeds cleanup and reduces exposure to dust. That matters for allergy-conscious households and people who want a quick stop-and-go cleaning routine.

Tool set for versatile cleaning

Benefit: The included Upholstery Tool, Anti-Allergen Dust Brush, and Crevice Tool expand the vacuum’s usefulness beyond floors to sofas, vents, baseboards, and corners. These accessories let you address pet hair, crumbs, and dust build-up across multiple surfaces without buying extras.

Where to buy

Performance & Use

Setup

  • Unpack the wand, attach the floorhead and the handle, plug in the cord, and you’re ready. The listing doesn’t list an included cord length, so plan for a typical household outlet spacing or use an approved extension if needed (cord length: Not specified).
  • No battery charging step is required because this is a corded model — meaning you’ll get full power immediately after plugging in.

Daily use tips

  • Start in the furthest part of a room and work toward the exit so you don’t track dirt back over areas you’ve already cleaned.
  • Use fingertip controls to quickly switch to the carpet setting on area rugs and then back to the hard-floor setting on tile or wood. This saves time and keeps the brush roll behavior appropriate for the surface.

Handheld/above-floor cleaning

  • Remove the wand to reach stairs, curtains, and car interiors. Attach the crevice tool for tight spaces and the dust brush for delicate surfaces.
  • Hang the handheld from the wand hook while storing to keep attachments together.

Maintenance

  • Empty the dust cup after each major session; the quick-empty design minimizes dust clouding.
  • Filters: the listing does not specify the exact filter type or replacement schedule — check the printed manual or manufacturer website for filtration details and recommended maintenance (filter specifics: Not specified).
  • Brush-roll care: periodically check the floorhead for hair and fiber wrap. Cut away tangles with scissors and clear the bearings to maintain suction and maneuverability.
  • Check seals and the dust-cup latch if you notice declining suction; since the manufacturer claims steady suction, blockages or dirty filters are the usual causes of reduced performance.

Real-world notes

  • Carpets and rugs: the suction is advertised as strong enough for deep cleaning carpets (source: listing, checked 2025). In real use, performance will depend on pile height and how heavily soiled the area is. Expect good pickup on low- to medium-pile rugs; very thick shag carpets may require multiple passes.
  • Hard floors: brush action and suction should handle dust, pet hair, and crumbs effectively. Because this is corded, you won’t lose power mid-clean.
  • Noise: the listing does not provide decibel levels (Not specified). Corded stick vacuums of this type are typically moderately noisy — louder than a hand vacuum but generally quieter than full-sized uprights.

Pros vs Cons

Pros Cons
Extremely lightweight (under 9 lbs.), easy to carry and maneuver (source: listing, checked 2025) Corded design limits range unless you use an extension cord (cord length: Not specified)
Converts to a handheld for stairs, upholstery, and cars No model-specific filtration details provided — difficult to assess allergy performance (Not specified)
Fingertip surface controls and swivel steering for tight spaces Lacks motorized mini-tool or turbo-brush for intensive pet hair cleanup (Not specified)
Comes with three useful attachments (Upholstery Tool, Anti-Allergen Dust Brush, Crevice Tool) The listing does not specify cord length, brush-roll details, or exact materials (Not specified)
Quick-empty dust cup and clear canister for easy maintenance No battery benefit — if you prefer cordless convenience you’ll need a different product
5-year limited warranty provides longer-than-average coverage for this product class (source: listing, checked 2025) No sound-level or airflow specifications provided to help compare performance objectively (Not specified)

Who Should Buy

  • You should buy this if:

    • You want a single, lightweight unit that handles both floors and above-floor tasks without a second appliance.
    • You need uninterrupted power for longer cleaning sessions and don’t want to manage battery charging.
    • You live in a smaller home or apartment where storage space is limited and hanging the unit is helpful.
    • You appreciate simple fingertip controls and swivel maneuverability to work around furniture quickly.
  • You shouldn’t buy this if:

    • You prefer cordless models for ultimate portability or frequent outdoor/car use without an outlet.
    • You need a vacuum specifically designed for heavy pet hair on thick carpets — the listing does not list a motorized pet tool.
    • You require detailed filtration specs for severe allergies (the listing provides an “Anti-Allergen Dust Brush” but does not specify filter type or HEPA rating).
    • You need precise performance specs (airflow, dB, cord length) for a direct comparison to other models — those details are not listed.

This vacuum is lightweight so it is easy to move around from room to room. The suction is strong so it really does a good job getting the little pieces that get caught on the carpet. I use it on my kitchen floor with the hardwood setting and it picks up the dirt very well. You have to dump out the dirt about every time you use it because it has a small capacity dirt tank. I find this easy to do though. I think this vacuum is good quality for a good price. I’ve used mine for months now with no issues.

I wanted an easy to access vacuum and the Shark Rocket is perfect! Works great and easy to pull out, use and put up quickly! Picks up so much stuff, you don’t even realize is there.

This is a good little vacuum. The noise isn’t terrible. It is good for small room and spaces. I gave it three stars bc the roller brush when activated doesn’t like my son’s shaggy carpet. The roller gets caught and hair/string wraps up in it and makes it stop; but the suction is great. So what I do is put it on floor setting, not carpet so the brush is not involved and go over his shaggy rug that way. It works fine and picks everything up. Easy peasy to empty and clean…really important. Easy to put together and very versatile since it can be a heavy duty hand vac too. Pleased with purchase.

The Shark Rocket Ultra-Light is a powerful little vacuum that really gets the job done. It’s lightweight, easy to carry around, and does a great job on both carpets and hard floors. I like how simple it is to empty the dust cup and switch between attachments. The suction is impressive for its size. The only downside is that being corded can feel a little limiting at times, and the dust cup is on the smaller side, so it needs to be emptied often. Still, it’s a very reliable vacuum and a great choice if you want strong cleaning power without the bulk.

I did a lot of research before buying this vacuum and I’m very glad to say it has lived up to expectations.

The suction on this is incredible and I find it very easy to use to get dust on baseboards and furniture. I’ve vacuumed so much more since I’ve gotten this. The storage cup is small so you will have to empty it regularly, but I don’t mind as I usually have a trash can near by to do that. I live in a condo so I’m also not covering a lot of space.

I will agree with other reviewers and say it is heavy on the wrist, which might be too much for some. I work a physical job though and am a young mom so it only took me a few days to get use to and now I barely notice or care.

The biggest selling feature to me is the fact that it stands to store. I didn’t want to have to mount a vacuum on one of my walls and so that more than anything sold me on this model. The second suction level does an incredible job on my rugs and with two cats and two kids that’s a big plus too.

For anyone worried about cord length, I can reach my from the front entrance of my condo all the way to the back of the living room (+35ft) with ease from a single plug in the middle. So unless you have a huge house or a closed off layout you should be able to do at least 2-3 rooms.

Over all if you’re comfortable handling the weight of it I would 100% recommend this vacuum.

Excellent vacuum! Lightweight, maneuverable, and very powerful. Easily picks up crumbs, pet hair, and dust even in hard-to-reach spots. Attachments change quickly, and the dust container is simple to empty. The cord is long enough so you don’t have to keep searching for outlets. A great choice for fast, everyday cleaning around the home

So this is my favorite stick. Vacuum always has been my other one held up until the stick didn’t want to stay up anymore. It kept falling over and so I donated it to my church and they use it and it works quite well. Still, it still sucks up everything. It still works. This one here is a bit different. They changed the brush on it. So the brushes aren’t as close together as they were before, so it doesn’t Pick up with the brushes as well as it used to. But the suction is more so it works about the same. So the brush is a little bit different, which I wish they would change it back to the old brush. Other than that, this is a perfect little vacuum. It does great on carpeting, all types of carpeting, and Wood floors are whatever type of flurge that you have that have no carpet. It works really well. I love this vacuum. It’s not heavy. The only thing I want to say about this new one is the rubber piece where you grip your hand on. I have bad Arthritis and stuff, and it tends to rub my hand and hurt it. The other vacuum. I did not do that. So I think they made that rubber piece around where you grip your hand a little bit more hard, and it just it rubs my hand wrong. So I have to hold my vacuum different now. So that it does not give me a sore, so if they would go back to the softer version on the hand grip. And go back to the original brush, this is the perfect vacuum. It’s absolutely amazing

Fantastic vacuum—lightweight, easy to maneuver, and surprisingly powerful. It picks up crumbs, pet hair, and dust even in tight spots, attachments swap in seconds, and the dust bin empties without fuss. The cord is long enough so you don’t have to hunt for outlets. Perfect for quick, everyday cleaning around the home.

I did a lot of research before buying this vacuum, and it has definitely lived up to my expectations. The suction is amazing — it easily pulls dust from baseboards and furniture — and I find myself vacuuming far more often now. The dust cup is small, so you’ll need to empty it frequently, but that’s not a problem for me since I usually have a trash can nearby. I live in a condo, so I’m not covering a huge area.

It’s a bit heavy on the wrist, which could be too much for some people. I have a physical job and am a young mom, so it only took a few days to get used to, and now I barely notice the weight. The biggest selling point for me is that it stands up on its own — I didn’t want to mount anything on my walls, so that feature alone sold me on this model. The second suction level is fantastic on my rugs, which is a big plus with two cats and two kids.

If you’re worried about the cord, I can reach from my front entrance to the back of the living room (over 35 ft) from a single outlet in the middle, so unless you have a very large or closed-off layout you should be able to cover 2–3 rooms easily. Overall, if you can handle the weight, I would 100% recommend this vacuum.

This is the best vacuum I have ever bought! It has the best suction. It picks up dirt you can’t even see! I have hardwood floors as well as carpets and it does an amazing job on both. Other vacuums I have had didn’t quite get the dust from the hardwood floor but this one does! It is amazing. You do have to clean out the filter a couple of times if you are doing a lot of rooms but it is worth it. Strong motor. I wanted something lightweight and powerful. Well this is it! Very pleased!

We had this model for nearly ten years before the power switch finally gave out, so I replaced it with basically the same one during Prime Day. With all tile floors and cats, it’s been great—strong suction, good filtration, and fairly easy to clean. It’s lightweight and fits under furniture easily without attachments. I think the newer version may add an accessory clip for onboard storage and a detachable unit that works as a corded hand vac, though I might have just not noticed those features.

Easy, light and reliable like all Shark products, I’ve got this because being a house cleaner for many years several clients had this one in particular or the lift away Shark which I also own, after eight yrs it still works perfect, upgraded to this one because I live in RV and if you know anything about RVs space and size matters, everything is limited or out in the open not much hiding space, this will work much beer as to keeping it out of the way, good power and suction, easy to clean, and when the time come switching filters is so easy too. Very good price so much worth it, practical size, Hope this helps.

This is the best vacuum I’ve ever owned — incredible suction that lifts dirt you can’t even see. It cleans both hardwood and carpet brilliantly; previous vacuums left dust on my floors but this one gets it all. The motor is powerful yet the unit is lightweight and easy to maneuver. You may need to empty the filter a couple of times when doing many rooms, but it’s absolutely worth it. Very pleased!

This vacuum is very lightweight and easy to carry from room to room. Its strong suction pulls up the little bits that get stuck in the carpet, and the hardwood setting cleans my kitchen floor really well. The dirt bin is small so I empty it after almost every use, but that’s quick and easy. Overall it’s good quality for the price, and I’ve had mine for months with no problems.

This is my favorite stick vacuum. My previous one lasted until the stick wouldn’t stay up anymore — it kept falling over, so I donated it to my church; they still use it and it works well. It always sucked up everything and still worked, but this new model is a bit different. They changed the brush: the bristles aren’t as close together, so it doesn’t pick up as well with the brush as it used to. The suction seems stronger, though, so performance is about the same overall. I wish they’d revert to the old brush. Otherwise, it’s a perfect little vacuum — great on all types of carpeting and on wood or bare floors. It’s lightweight, which I love. One downside is the rubber grip: I have bad arthritis, and the grip rubs my hand and hurts. The previous model didn’t do that, so I think they made the rubber on the handle firmer and it rubs the wrong way. I now have to hold it differently to avoid soreness. If they returned to the softer hand grip and the original brush, this would be perfect. It’s absolutely amazing.

    Primeras impresiones.

I bought this hoping to replace my Dyson DC33 with something more portable and convenient. I have several dogs that shed constantly, so I vacuum often. The box claimed it cleans better than an upright Dyson, so I ran a series of tests across different rooms and floor types (I went two weeks without vacuuming beforehand and cleaned both vacuums between tests).

Carpeted hallway: The Shark tended to skip and pull away on short carpet—it’s light and didn’t feel like it gave a deep clean unless I awkwardly pressed down on it. It did pick up a lot of hair and dust and filled its canister, but when I went over the same spot with the Dyson, the Dyson collected about a quarter of its canister with debris the Shark missed.

Hardwood rooms: Using the Shark with the hardwood tool and microfiber pad impressed me — the pad came away dirty and the floor felt cleaner than when I used the Dyson. The Shark also reached under beds and desks much easier. I repeated the test in another hardwood room (switching the order between vacs to avoid bias) and again the Shark outperformed the Dyson.

Tile bathrooms: Same story as hardwood — the Shark picked up a lot and the Dyson picked up little to nothing when used after the Shark. In one bathroom the Dyson did pick up more when used first, but overall the Shark was better on tile.

Large area rug: I tried the Dyson on one half and then the Shark — the Shark picked up about a quarter of its small canister worth of hair that the Dyson missed, often from rug edges (the Dyson tends to pull up edges). When I used the Shark first on the other half it filled quickly; the Dyson later picked up only a barely noticeable amount. The Shark’s lower setting handled edges without pulling them up, which I preferred.

Overall: The Shark Rocket outperforms my Dyson DC33 on hardwood, tile, and area rugs, but it doesn’t clean carpet well enough to replace my upright. I’m keeping the Shark for all non-carpet floors. Downsides: holding it for long periods tires my arm/hand, and it won’t stand upright on its own—you have to hold it or lay it down between jobs. It’s great for quick carpet messes but not a full carpet replacement.

UPDATE:After a few weeks of frequent use my opinion hasn’t changed — great vacuum, but not a full replacement for an upright on carpet. I did try it on my car and the micro cleaning kit included with the HV302 was excellent for vents, cup holders, dash, and other tight spots; it also cleaned cloth seats well. I wouldn’t recommend using it on car floors if you have gravel or small pebbles — a few pebbles banged around in the canister and could have caused damage. For car cleaning I’d suggest using a shop vac for floors (if you have a gravel driveway), then the Shark with the micro kit for seats, vents, and hard-to-reach areas. If you plan to use it on your car, I highly recommend getting the micro cleaning kit.

Lightweight, easy to use, and reliable—just like other Shark products. As a longtime house cleaner, I’ve used this model and the Lift-Away Shark (which I also own); my older Lift-Away still works perfectly after eight years. I upgraded to this one because I live in an RV where space is tight and storage is limited. Its compact size makes it easy to keep out of the way. It has strong suction and power, is simple to clean, and changing the filters is a breeze. Great price and very practical—highly recommend.

First impressions: I’m impressed by how easy it is to use, its strong suction, and how quiet it runs. I can vacuum next to my pets without scaring them. Overall it feels like an excellent purchase — I don’t expect future problems since replacement filters are easy to find. The dustbin could be a bit larger, but emptying it is no hassle — just open the lid and everything comes out. After this first use it’s been great.
