What’s in the Box
- Not specified (manufacturer components not listed)
Design & Build
The listing highlights functional elements rather than construction details, so specific materials and exact weight aren’t specified. From the features provided, the vacuum appears to prioritize usability: LED lights at the nozzle for better visibility, a brush roll engineered to resist hair wrap, swivel steering for easier navigation, and a quick-release extension wand for reaching higher or lower places.
Ergonomics: the swivel steering suggests the machine is designed to pivot easily around furniture and narrow spaces, which reduces wrist and arm strain during extended use. The quick-release wand indicates a plug-and-play approach to switching between floor cleaning and above-floor tasks. Because the listing does not include weight, handle shape, or grip material, assess stability and comfort in person where possible.
Durability: no materials are specified, so judge longevity by build feel and BISSELL’s reputation if you have prior experience with their products. The inclusion of a tangle-free brush roll implies less frequent brush maintenance and potentially longer brush life for households with long-haired pets.
Key Features
LED Headlights
Benefit: LED headlights illuminate the cleaning path, making small debris, crumbs and thin pet hair easier to see—especially under furniture, on dark carpets, or along baseboards.
Real-life use: If you often miss bits of litter or your pet’s fine hair in dim corners, the lights help ensure a thorough pass without having to move furniture or raise your head to spot missed spots. Using LED headlights can reduce repeated vacuum passes and saves time on checkout cleaning.
Tangle-Free Brush Roll
Benefit: The brush roll is designed to keep hair from wrapping around the roller, which cuts down on routine brush cleaning and prevents clogs that degrade performance.
Real-life use: For homes with medium to long-haired pets, this feature means fewer interruptions to remove hair from the brush and fewer maintenance tasks after each use. It’s particularly helpful for households that prefer short, frequent vacuum sessions rather than long deep cleans.
Swivel Steering
Benefit: Swivel steering allows the vacuum head to pivot smoothly around chair legs, table bases, and other obstacles, making it easier to clean in tight spaces without repeatedly repositioning the vacuum.
Real-life use: If your living room has a lot of furniture or you need to vacuum between legs of chairs and sofas, swivel steering helps you maintain a natural walking path while cleaning and reduces awkward twisting.
Quick-Release Extension Wand
Benefit: The quick-release wand gives fast access to ceilings, curtains, stairs and hard-to-reach spots, turning the upright into an instant above-floor cleaning tool.
Real-life use: Use the wand for cobwebs, high shelves, curtain tops and stair edges. The quick-release mechanism simplifies switching tasks—grab the wand, clean, and snap it back without dealing with complicated docking or multiple attachments.
Support for BISSELL Pet Foundation
Benefit: Each purchase supports the BISSELL Pet Foundation and its mission to help save pets in need. This makes the vacuum appealing to buyers who want purchases that contribute to charitable causes.
Real-life use: When choosing between similar models, knowing part of the purchase helps animal welfare can be a deciding factor for shoppers who prioritize social responsibility.
Where to buy
Performance & Use
Setup and first use
- Unpack and inspect: Because the box contents aren’t specified, check the package for the wand, any nozzles or tools, and the user manual before first use.
- Quick assembly: Expect basic attachment of the handle and any wand or accessory; the listing’s quick-release wand suggests tool-free docking for on-the-fly cleaning.
- Priming: Run a short test pass on an easy-to-clean surface to confirm suction and check the brush roll engagement.
Daily use tips
- Run the LED headlights when cleaning dim rooms or under furniture to avoid missed debris.
- For hair-prone areas, make slow passes over problem zones so the tangle-free brush roll can lift embedded hair.
- Use swivel steering to trace along couch bases and around table legs; this is generally faster than repeatedly repositioning the vacuum.
Maintenance
- Brush roll: Although described as tangle-free, periodic inspections and removal of trapped fibers are still a good idea to keep performance optimal.
- Filters and dust bin: Clean or empty the dust bin frequently to keep suction strong. The listing doesn’t specify filter type or washability—refer to the included manual (Not specified in listing) for filter-care instructions.
- Wand and tools: Wipe down after use and check for blockages in the extension wand and hose connections.
Performance caveats
- The listing does not give numerical performance metrics such as airflow, suction power, dustbin capacity, noise levels, cord length or battery runtime (if cordless). Where numerical figures matter to you—cord length for big rooms, battery life for cordless use—seek the full spec sheet or demo in-store. (source: listing, checked 2025)

Final thoughts and buying advice
This vacuum is clearly designed with pet households in mind: LED headlights to reveal missed debris, a brush roll engineered to resist hair wrapping, swivel steering for easier maneuvering around furniture, and a quick-release extension wand for flexible cleaning reach. If those practical, day-to-day conveniences matter most, this model could simplify your routine.
Before buying, check the retailer or manufacturer page for any missing technical details that matter to you (weight, cord length or battery runtime, filter type and warranty). If you need specific allergen filtration, confirm filter specifications directly. Also verify included accessories if you depend on particular tools for stairs, upholstery or tight crevices.
If you like the core features and appreciate purchases that support pet rescue efforts, this BISSELL Pet Vacuum is a strong contender for regular pet-hair maintenance.
Call to action: Check current retailer listings for full specs and accessory details, compare with similar pet-focused models, and if the features match your needs, it’s reasonable to try this one—especially if you value easier brush maintenance and improved visibility while cleaning.

I almost bought the Bissell 2254 CleanView Swivel Rewind Pet Upright Vacuum, but I opted to spend an extra $20–30 on this one and I’m so glad I did. It’s super easy to assemble and empty, the suction is powerful, and the cord is long enough to go from room to room. The attached wand has excellent suction, the headlights are great for spotting debris, and it’s lightweight enough to pick up by the handle and move around easily. The foot-operated controls (on/off, cord rewind, angle release) are convenient. The only downside is it can be a bit loud on higher settings, but it does a great job picking up hair, dust, and dirt.

We got this recently as a second vacuum for the second floor (our current one is Shark Liftway upright), and so far, we’re really pleased with it! From a performance standpoint, it’s got excellent suction power, more than enough for anything we throw at it. The swiveling head is really nice for getting around tricky spots, and the LED lights really help get those last couple of invisible dust patches that you’d otherwise miss. The best feature, in my opinion is the retractable cord….no more holding onto or tripping over the cord while we vacuum. This is definitely a feature that the Shark is lacking and Bissel gets right.
It’s also pretty quiet and easy to use, the dust bin empties really quickly and conveniently, no big messes. It’s got a lot of nice, useful attachments, but the body doesn’t really detach from the head, which is one feature of the Shark that we really like that we wish was on this vacuum too. Other than that, we haven’t really run into any big issues or complaints, it’s really nice, capable and powerful tool and we would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new or replacement vacuum!

If your house is a nonstop battle with pet hair, dust bunnies, and the occasional snack attack, the Bissell CleanView Max Tangle‑Free Rewind is a reliably powerful ally. It’s a sturdy, corded upright—not a fashionable cordless stick—but its cleaning performance more than compensates for a lack of flash.

My house is where vacuums go to die — we’re brutal on them. With multiple heavy-shedding pets, a mix of runners, small and large rugs, lots of tile and too much furniture, a robot vacuum was never going to cut it. Setup was wonderful though — took only a couple minutes; the hardest part was lifting it out of the box (I’m vertically challenged and probably should’ve laid it on its side). I liked the retractable cord at first — it pulls back incredibly fast — but you really need to pull out the full length you’ll use or you’ll end up constantly holding both the cord and the vacuum to avoid unplugging it. Performance-wise it was excellent on tile but struggled on rugs. My husband (the real vacuum killer) agreed it didn’t do well on plush rugs and smaller rugs tended to get sucked up. The swivel made me nervous — it felt like it might tip and made maneuvering harder. It’s a bit heavy, so probably not ideal if you have mobility issues. Overall it’s a good vacuum for hard floors. I do wish the power buttons were on the handle and that the attachment had a light for dark corners. It’s annoying having to clip and unclip the hose for attachments. The floor light is very bright and the noise level is acceptable.

With a minimum of 5 cats in the house at any point in my marriage, my wife and I have invested in several Bissell carpet cleaners over the years. With 5 cats, it is inevitable. There will be accidents. Bissell’s Clean Green machines have been awesome for us by helping us wash or shampoo the affected area, and then suck up all the dirty water. We figured that if Bissell’s carpet cleaner was so powerful that a Bissell vacuum would be high quality as well.
We decided to purchase this Bissell CleanView Max vacuum. There were several reasons we chose to go this route. One was the effectiveness at picking up pet hair, another was the retractable cord, and the other was the headlights. Bissell as a company really is invested in pets’ well-being and creates products that help keep the home clean for pet owners. The suction of this vacuum picks up most of the cat hair, but when you attach the pet tools onto the vacuum’s wand, it picks up the rest of the hair that was missed. As a side note, there is a Bissell Pet Foundation that has been given over $28M from the parent company Bissell – and that is only from 2011. This is amazing. What is even more amazing is that the Bissell Pet Foundation has saved over 939k pet lives to date. Truly remarkable.
The retractable cord is another great feature of this vacuum. I cannot even think of how many times in the past I have left a vacuum plugged in and then almost tripped on the cord in the middle of the night. Plus a power cord bunched up or spread out all over the floor clutters up a room and just looks bad. Also, stepping on the plug can be very painful, that may or may not have happened more times than I want to admit. With this Bissell, when you are finished vacuuming, press the gray button on the lower back of the vacuum, and the cord will wind itself back up to be inside the vacuum. It is a great feature, and I am surprised that other vacuums have not done this before.
The LED headlights are probably my favorite feature. As pet owners know, pet hair can be virtually invisible if the light from the windows is hitting it at a certain angle. With these headlights, you will see the otherwise stealth hair clumps. Plus if you are on hardwoods, these lights will show every crumb or speck of dirt that you missed too. The swivel steering also helps because you are not forced to just vacuum in straight lines.
This vacuum is a pleasure to use. It is easy to assemble, and with the pet tools and features I mentioned, it will help you win the never-ending pet hair battle. The price at the time of this review is $135, which is a great value for the money. You will be pleasantly surprised with the powerful suction as well.

This vacuum has excellent suction. I dislike dealing with loose cords, and this model’s cord management is well thought out—though the plug can sometimes pull out of the outlet. It’s not bulky or overly heavy, but it isn’t the lightest I’ve owned. I like that it uses no bags and runs quietly. It doesn’t have any standout extras, so I wouldn’t pay top dollar for it. Hair doesn’t get tangled in the brushes, and the attachments are easy to attach and remove. Overall it’s a solid vacuum, but not the best value.

This vacuum is lightweight and easy to maneuver. I really like the self-rewinding cord feature, so I never have to worry about getting all tangled up in the cord. And the attachments work pretty well.
It’s not super low to the ground, so when cleaning my hardwood floors, it tends to spit out some of the dust and debris, making it take a bit longer to get everything vacuumed up. But I guess the bit of space between the vacuum and the floor allows it to roll over slightly bigger items (like the Cheerios and Goldfish crackers my grandson is constantly spilling all over the living room) instead of just pushing them around the room, so I guess that’s a plus.
And it’s really easy to empty the canister after I finish cleaning the floors, which is really nice–especially when I used it to clean up the millions of tiny shards of glass when I broke my bedroom mirror. I didn’t have to worry about cutting myself on the broken glass when I emptied the vacuum canister into the trash.

I’ve tried them all, and this one really pulls out the embedded dirt — pet hair is one thing, but ground-in dirt and dust are another, and this vacuum actually gets the job done!

I have tried them all – I have to say this one so far really pulls out the dirt. Pet hair is one thing but dirt and dust is another and this vacuum really did the job!!

I almost bought the Bissell 2254 CleanView Swivel Rewind Pet Upright Vacuum, but then I saw this one and took a chance and I am so happy I paid the extra $20-$30 extra for this vacuum. It is super easy to assemble, emptying is a breeze. The vacuum is powerful and the cord is extra long I can go from room to room. The attached wand has great suction, and I love the headlights on the front to point out everything in front of me. I can pick it up from the handle and move it around easily, it’s fairly lightweight. I can tap everything with my foot, on/off, cord return, angle release. Only downside is it can be a little loud at times depending on the setting, but it does a great job picking up hair and dust and dirt.

Powerful suction deep-cleans my carpets, and the brush roll performs exactly as promised without getting tangled in hair. The retractable cord is incredibly convenient, and the front lights make it easy to spot dirt under furniture. The price seems reasonable, though it’s not an exceptional bargain.
