Design & build

The Roomie Vincent cordless vacuum emphasizes lightness and simple ergonomics over heavy construction. The upright/stick form is slender and intended for quick manoeuvring; the listing states the upright configuration weighs 5.5 lbs, and the handheld configuration is reduced to 2.1 lbs (source: listing, checked 2025). Those numbers make it one of the lighter upright cordless options on the market, which helps reduce fatigue during quick sessions or when cleaning multiple levels.

Materials are not explicitly listed; the body appears to be ABS/plastic composites typical for stick vacuums, keeping the overall weight down. The motorized floorhead is slim to pass under low furniture, and integrated LEDs on the brush head improve visibility in corners and under couches. The docking base doubles as a storage solution and an automatic charging point, so the vacuum can be parked upright without handling a separate power cable each time.

Ergonomics favor short, frequent cleans: the shaft length, trigger/handle configuration, and the ability to switch to a handheld unit all support rapid spot cleaning, car interiors, and upholstery work. If you prefer large, heavy machines with metal construction or long runtime for whole-house deep cleans, this model’s lightweight focus may feel like a trade-off.

Key Features

Lightweight, convertible form factor

Benefit: The vacuum shifts from a full-length stick to a 2.1 lb handheld unit, so you can tackle floors one minute and reach into a car or sofa crevices the next without a bulky tool. For people who struggle with heavier cleaners or who need a grab-and-go solution, this convertible design reduces strain and speeds up tidying.

Where it helps: Quick kitchen counters, crumbs in the car, stairs, and tight spaces where hauling a full-size vacuum would be awkward. The lightweight nature encourages more frequent, small cleanups rather than infrequent heavy sessions.

(Primary keyword: Roomie Vincent cordless vacuum)

6th‑generation anti-tangle roller

Benefit: The upgraded anti-tangle roller is built to pick up loose debris like food crumbs, cat litter, and small particles such as candy sprinkles from multiple surfaces while resisting hair wrap. A wider brush path — a 10.5″ cleaning width — covers more ground per pass, reducing cleaning time.

Where it helps: Households with pets shedding light-to-moderate fur, kitchens with frequent small spills, and play areas where crumbs are common. The anti-tangle claim reduces the need to frequently cut hair away from the brush, but periodic maintenance is still advised.

Auto charging dock with automatic shutoff

Benefit: The included dock serves as a storage cradle and charging point. Resting the vacuum on the base recharges the battery automatically and the unit reportedly powers off when fully charged, simplifying upkeep and ensuring it’s ready for the next job.

Where it helps: Entryways, closets, or utility nooks where you can park the stick between uses. If you prefer not to hunt for a charger or plug in a cord each time, the dock keeps the vacuum accessible and topped up.

Detachable handheld + 2-in-1 crevice tool

Benefit: The main body detaches into a handheld form factor and includes a 2-in-1 crevice tool for narrow gaps and upholstery. This makes the vacuum versatile for car interiors, RVs, stairs, curtains, and couch cushions.

Where it helps: Tight spots and elevated surfaces where a full-length stick is unwieldy. The small crevice tool helps reach between cushions and along baseboards.

(Secondary keyword: handheld vacuum)

Motorized floorhead with LEDs and beater bar

Benefit: A motorized brush roll (beater bar) agitates carpets and lifts embedded debris, while six LED headlights on the floorhead illuminate dust and pet hair in darker areas. The slim profile helps the head reach under low clearance furniture.

Where it helps: Dimly lit rooms, under sofas and beds, and mixed-surface homes where you switch between bare floors and low- to medium-pile carpets.

Performance & use

Real-world performance depends on factors not fully disclosed in the listing (suction power, battery runtime, dustbin volume), so this section focuses on observable behavior and practical tips you can apply.

  • Setup: Place the docking base on a flat surface near an outlet so it can charge unattended. The dock appears to be the primary charging method; details about an external charger or charge time are not specified.
  • Everyday use: For quick pickups, keep the vacuum docked and grab it for crumbs and light debris. The 10.5″ cleaning path speeds coverage of hard floors and low-pile rugs. Use the motorized head on carpets and the handheld configuration for upholstery and car interiors.
  • Hair and maintenance: The anti-tangle roller reduces hair wrap but does not eliminate the need for periodic cleaning. Remove trapped hair or threads from the brush roll if you notice diminished performance. The manufacturer’s recommended maintenance intervals are not listed; consult the manual when available.
  • Dustbin and filters: The listing doesn’t provide dustbin capacity or filter types. Empty the dustbin after several uses to maintain suction performance, and inspect or clean filters regularly (manufacturer guidance: Not specified).
  • Charging behavior: The dock charges the unit and reportedly shuts off when fully recharged (source: listing, checked 2025), which helps prevent overcharging. Exact charge time and battery runtime per charge are not listed, so expect runtimes typical of lightweight stick vacuums (shorter than full-size cordless models).
  • Storage and placement: The included dock provides a dedicated storage spot and keeps the vacuum upright and out of the way. If you lack a convenient spot for the dock, factor that into your purchase decision.

Performance summary: The Roomie Vincent cordless vacuum is tailored to short, frequent cleaning jobs rather than extended whole-house vacuuming. It’s optimized for speed, accessibility, and multi-surface spot-cleaning.

Pros vs Cons

Pros Cons
Very light in upright (5.5 lbs) and handheld (2.1 lbs) modes — easy to carry and use (source: listing, checked 2025). Battery runtime and suction power are not specified on the listing, making it hard to compare to rivals.
6th-generation anti-tangle roller and a 10.5″ wide cleaning path for faster coverage (source: listing, checked 2025). Dustbin capacity and filter type/maintenance instructions are not listed.
Auto charging dock that stores the vacuum upright and switches off when fully charged (source: listing, checked 2025). Limited accessory list shown (2-in-1 crevice tool only); additional tools may be needed for specialized tasks.
Detachable handheld configuration for cars, upholstery, and tight spaces (source: listing, checked 2025). No manufacturer-listed materials or long-term durability specs — build feels typical for a lightweight, plastic-composite stick.
Motorized floorhead with 6 LED lights for better visibility in dark areas (source: listing, checked 2025). Not positioned for heavy-duty whole-home deep cleaning — better suited to spot and light-clean jobs.

Who should buy

  • Apartment or condo residents who want a compact, lightweight vacuum that’s easy to store and quick to use.
  • Pet owners with mostly light shedding who need a rapid tool for spot-cleaning (the anti-tangle roller helps, but heavy shedders may need a more powerful model).
  • People who value convenience: auto-docking, a slim profile for storage, and a convertible handheld for cars and furniture.
  • Anyone who prefers frequent short cleans rather than long sessions with a high-capacity battery.

Who shouldn’t buy

  • Households that require long runtime or powerful suction for deep-cleaning large homes — the listing does not provide runtime or suction figures and the focus is on lightness and convenience.
  • Users who need extensive accessory kits (motorized pet tools, soft rollers for delicate floors) — only a 2-in-1 crevice tool is listed.
  • Buyers who want fully disclosed technical details up front (battery capacity, charge time, dustbin liters) — those specifics are not included in the product information.

Final thoughts & buying advice

If your cleaning needs center on speed, accessibility, and light-to-moderate debris pickup, the Roomie Vincent cordless vacuum delivers a sensible mix of convenience features: a very light build, a wider 10.5″ cleaning path, an anti-tangle roller, an auto-docking charger, and a convertible handheld option. Missing details — notably battery runtime, charge time, and dustbin/filter specifications — mean you should confirm those points if long runtime or specific filter/filtration performance is critical to you.

For quick, frequent cleanups in small spaces or for keeping a car and sofa tidy, the Roomie Vincent is a practical choice. If you need heavy-duty whole-house performance or require certain technical specs up front, look for models with clearly listed battery and suction figures.

If you’re ready to try it, check current offers and accessory bundles to ensure the package includes the tools you need.

Primary keyword used: Roomie Vincent cordless vacuum (appears multiple times). Closing CTA: If convenience and lightweight handling are priorities, consider adding this model to your shortlist — and verify battery/runtime info with the seller if you plan longer cleaning sessions.

Awesome little vacuum. My husband bought me one of these -different brand- at a yard sale several years ago and I loved that one but it’s starting to die. Was going to order the same one from Amazon but was so surprised at the price (not in a good way) that I kept looking. There isn’t a lot of competition with these smaller vacs. When I came across this one I was immediately drawn to it for several reasons – lithium battery for starts, the lights which let you see every speck of crud on your floor, two power levels and the charging base – just pick it off the base and go!. Had to plug/unplug my other one every time I used it. Have had this vac for a week. Love everything about it. My other one is a real clunker compared to this one. Hardwood/laminate floors basically need vacuuming every day or two and this vac makes that job small and easy. It’s lightweight and easily manuverable. By far beats having to haul out the big vac which is heavy, hard to get under the kitchen/dining room chairs, etc. This little one just zips around and under everything with the power it takes to suck up crumbs, dust or whatever is laying on the floor. It was a bit more expensive than some other ones but well worth the price. And it’s rare to have a company contact you and make sure you’re satisfied but these guys do. Their attention was greatly appreciated. I just bought a new car and we all know how that goes – once you hand over the check you don’t exist anymore.

    Update 03/01/2020
Still love this vacuum, but not for much longer. Had a problem with the charging base about 10 months after purchase. One of the base charger contact prongs collapsed downward which prohibited it from charging. Did a gerry-rig job on it and intended to contact manufacturer. Since it was charging I kind of forgot about it and when I did get in touch with them it was almost 8 weeks beyond the warranty. They were as congenial as when I first bought it. Asked for a few puctures, which I sent right away. They emailed me the next day stating their team could tell the base was defective and they were sending a replacement. Estimated arrival 10-12 business days. They are in Canada, I’m in North Idaho- kinda like neighbors. I was beyond happy because I planned on dying with this vac. At 22 business days I re-contacted them to let them know I had not received the new base. They asked me to wait a few more days- said Canada Post was sort of slow. No problem. Waited another 10-12 days, still no package. Contacted them again, they assumed the package was lost and would be sending another. Please wait another 10-12 business days. Repeat first scenario. Another contact and I asked if they could track the package which they stated was more expensive. Third offer to send. Told them if they were ‘jerking my chain’ for their entertainment purposes I wasn’t appreciating it. If they had asked for the base to be returned I gladly would have sent it. If they had asked me to pay the postage I gladly would have. They asked for pictures, which they got. And you guessed right – third one never showed up either. So you might want to factor this into you decision to purchase or not. Failure at 10 months makes this vac a little expensive. Granted, I dragged my butt just outside the warranty period in contacting them. My mistake. But I would rather have heard ‘Sorry lady, Can’t help ya’ instead of being jerked around the block for 2+months. 4/19/2020 Had to bury it this weekend. First time in many years of shopping on Amazon I had to deal with a less than honest seller.

I bought this to replace a Morphy Richards model that stopped working. It’s lighter and the LED lights are a helpful bonus when cleaning in dim areas. My only issue is the handheld unit — I’m finding it really difficult to reassemble after emptying the dust box. I’ve tried several times to fit the two parts back together with no luck and will probably need assistance. Hopefully it becomes easier with use.

    Initial Review Sept 5, 2023

We received this vacuum about two hours ago. So How can I write a review and give it five stars already? It is because we’ve had one, almost identical, for six years. This one is not only similar but actually looks like a design upgrade rather than a whole new design. It is a different brand but I wouldn’t be surprised that it was a design purchased from another company.

Six years ago I set out to find a cordless vacuum. There are many instances in which hauling out the regular corded vacuum was just a lot of bother. I didn’t want a battery powered vacuum that I would have to remove the battery to charge it, nor did I want an internally rechargeable battery that I would have to plug into AC power. This design, with the powered base, was for us the best design. Just lower it into the stand and it starts to charge.

We used that previous vacuum almost daily for six years when it started having trouble with the power switch on the handle. I didn’t even try to fix it, thinking that parts for a six year old model would not be easy to find. Besides there are now several cordless vacuums on the market that use a charging base. The price of this new vacuum is about 1/2 the price we paid for the old one.

The new vacuum arrived, I unpackaged it, put it in the place where the old one was kept, and threw the old one in the trash. My wife used it this evening to clean up under the parakeet cage. She said it was fine and just like the old one.

This new vacuum is quite similar in design yet it is a bit lighter, seems to have a bit more suction, and it has a row of headlights.

Our use normally involves no more than 5 minutes of use each time we put it to work. We don’t have harry pets. Our floors are normally quite clean so this is just used for spot cleaning, not whole rooms.

    I recommend this vacuum.

We’re really pleased — perfect for our smooth porcelain floors. The battery is powerful and easily lasts to clean the whole apartment, and the base is very convenient. After two weeks we’re still very satisfied.

I am very impressed with this little device. I am replacing a Bosch battery vacuum due to the lack of battery power so I looked at newer models of battery powered vacuums. This stood out on all the good reviews it had received. Had this a month scan safely add to the good reviews and I am very critical of vacuums and loath many of the problems they so needlessly produce by lack of thought for the user. Reasons to buy this. Its cheaper but not in product quality. It has excellent suction. It is very light. It is easy to put away on the stand and it does that it bloody stands up!! haleluah. How hard is that Bosch designers !!! It is so easy to make into a hand held so I can now, while it is still running, click off the unit to a hand held and suck round the window sills for the dead flies!! or spiders that think they can live in my house. Not any more!!! It is so easy to empty and put back together. The G tech is crap in comparison as everything is down on the floor this doesn’t need you to bend down at all it is all at waist height and where does all this dirt and fluff come from it finds it is truly amazing, no big fuss about cleaning anymore just pick it up and clean it up. To all young mums please train your boys to do this job so a) it normalises men hoovering after themselves and b) if they become designers of vacuums they know what they are supposed to do, vacuum, stand up, and be emptied and put back together without getting the crap all over the user!!

I got it a year ago, and it worked perfectly in the beginning, but then it started having issues with the light which does not work anymore, and when turning to the left it does not vacuum. The battery lasts around 30 minutes when constantly using it. I guess it is very good if you don’t use it for the entire house and you just do small areas, it is easy to assemble and disassemble and it is very practical and easy to use.

I live in a 600 sq ft apartment and used the vacuum for about 20 minutes when I first got it — the battery was still charged. It’s very light, quiet, and I was surprised by how much dust it picked up. It hugs baseboards, rolls smoothly over hard floors, and swivels under the bed. I put it in turbo mode to clean two small area rugs and it didn’t pull them up off the floor, which was great. The handheld section is lightweight and the little wand is very handy. The canister is small, which helps keep the vacuum light, and emptying/cleaning the cup is very easy. A big selling point for this model is that it doesn’t require screwing in a wall mount to store.

Only con: the filter system isn’t efficient. My 10+ year old cordless handheld has a fully washable fabric filter inside a plastic mesh. The Roomie’s small sponge is removable and washable, but the paper/fabric-like filter molded into the plastic holder is not truly washable — one side is like a tightly woven cotton swab and the layers start to peel if you try to rinse out trapped dirt. Replacement filters (two for $29.99 plus shipping) are available only through the dealer, who seems to provide good customer service, but that’s an ongoing cost. The plastic holder itself is solid and will likely outlast the vacuum. I’d prefer the fabric filter to be removable and washable to reduce cost and waste. If you’re not a die-hard environmentalist, I do recommend this vacuum.

I have a very large open concept living/kitchen/entry & hall that is all hardwood – I also have a Shepard so I have to vacuum hair every day. I had been using the Shark Vacmop which I really like as it picks up great but the replacement pads were getting pricey. With as much vacuum as I was doing, I have to change the pads out daily.

When I purchased the Roomie Tech cordless vacuum, I did so to still have the convenience of a cordless while hoping it would do the daily job as easily as the Shark Vacmop. Initially I was very disappointed; When I first received this I had to leave for a long trip so wasn’t able to unbox it until I returned home – by this point it was past the Amazon return policy. Out of the box this was obliviously a return and looked like it had been well used. I charged it hoping it would work but it would not even pick up dog hair. I posted a review for the seller and they responded right away and sent me a new one, kudos for the Roomie Tech co for responding & taking care of this issue for me.

I received the new one today (new out of the box this time) and I have to say I was impressed. Because it had been awhile since I purchased this item and I had never used this product before I didn’t know the first one I received wasn’t functioning properly (no lights & no power to the floor brush) and I didn’t know it was missing an attachment. After using the new one I realized this actually works very well for my needs and was exactly what I was looking for. Only time will tell how long it lasts but so far so go & with the Shark Vacmop being only slightly cheaper but having to pay so much for the replacement pads in the long run this will definitely save me money.

I live in a 600 sf apt and used the vacuum for about 20 mins when I first received it. The battery was still charged. It’s so light quiet and light and I didn’t think there was that much dust on the floors. It hugs the baseboards, rolls well over hard floors and swivels under the bed. I selected the ‘turbo’ mode to sweep two small area rugs – they didn’t get sucked-up off the floor which is super. The hand-held section is light and the little wand is very handy. The canister is small but that’s why this is a lightweight, and cleaning the cup is very easy. The selling point for this model is that there’s no need to screw in a wall-mount to keep it up. However, because of the CON below, I’m going to look for a Roomie hepa filter model that also doesn’t need a wall mount. The current filter system isn’t efficient.

MY ONLY CON: My 10+-yr old cordless hand-held vac has a fully washable fabric filter inside what looks like a plastic mesh. The Roomie’s small sponge is removable and washable but the paper/fabric-like filter molded into the plastic holder is not – one side is like a tightly woven cotton swab. You can run water through it but not wash the dirt or dust particles trapped in the filter because layers of the swab-like side will peel apart. Unfortunately, two replacement filters for $29.99 + shipping are available only via the dealer, who does appears to provide good customer service ($29.99 for two, plus shipping). The plastic holder is solid and will outlive the vacuum like the one on my handheld. I would suggest that the fabric be removable, washable to drastically reduce the cost and for zero waste. If you’re not a die-hard environmentalist, I do recommend this vacuum.

We received this vacuum a couple of hours ago, and I can already give it five stars because it’s nearly identical to the one we used for six years. It looks like a refined update rather than a completely new design — a different brand, but it could easily be a purchased redesign. Six years ago I was looking for a cordless vacuum and settled on one with a powered charging base so you simply lower it into the stand to charge; I didn’t want to remove a battery to charge it or plug the whole unit into AC power. That design worked perfectly for us and we used it almost daily until the power switch on the handle began to fail. Rather than try to repair a six-year-old model, we replaced it, and this new unit costs about half of what we paid back then. I unpacked it, put it where the old one lived, and tossed the broken unit. My wife used it tonight to clean under the parakeet cage and said it works just like the old one. The new vacuum is a bit lighter, seems a touch more powerful, and even has a row of headlights. We typically use it for short, five-minute spot cleans — no shedding pets and generally tidy floors — and it’s perfect for that. I recommend it.

Great little vacuum. Years ago my husband picked up a similar one at a yard sale and I loved it, but it was starting to die. I looked to replace it with the same model, but the price was shocking, so I kept searching and found this one. I was sold by the lithium battery, the built-in lights that show every speck on the floor, two power settings, and the convenient charging base — just grab it off the dock and go. My old unit needed to be plugged in every time. After a week with this vac I loved it. It’s lightweight, easy to maneuver, and perfect for the hardwood and laminate floors I vacuum every day or two. It’s far easier than hauling out the big vacuum and gets under chairs and in tight spots to pick up crumbs and dust. It was a bit pricier than some others, but worth it. The company even reached out to make sure I was happy, which I appreciated — rare customer care these days.

Update 03/01/2020I still loved this vacuum, but it didn’t last. About 10 months after purchase a prong on the charging base collapsed so it wouldn’t charge. I MacGyvered it and meant to contact the manufacturer, but by the time I did it was about eight weeks past the warranty. They were polite and asked for photos; the next day they said the base was defective and they’d send a replacement, estimated 10–12 business days. They’re in Canada and I’m in North Idaho, so I didn’t worry. After 22 business days I hadn’t received it and contacted them. They blamed postal delays and asked me to wait; another 10–12 business days passed with no package. They assumed it was lost and said they’d send another one. Repeat the waiting. When I pushed for tracking they said that would be more expensive. I offered to return the old base or pay postage — anything to resolve it — and I sent pictures again, but the replacement never arrived either. So factor that service experience into your decision. A failure at 10 months makes this vacuum feel expensive. I admit I contacted them past the warranty window, my mistake, but I’d have preferred a frank “we can’t help” rather than being strung along for two-plus months.

4/19/2020Had to retire it this weekend. First time in many years shopping on Amazon I’ve dealt with a seller I felt was less than honest.

I have a very large open-concept living/kitchen/entry and hall, all hardwood, and a German Shepherd, so I vacuum hair every day. I liked the Shark Vacmop because it picked up well, but replacement pads became expensive since I had to change them daily. I bought the Roomie Tech cordless vacuum hoping for the convenience of cordless cleaning and a comparable daily pickup. When the first unit arrived it looked used (I couldn’t return it because I was away) and it didn’t work — no lights, no power to the floor brush, and it wouldn’t pick up dog hair; it was also missing an attachment. I contacted the seller, and they responded quickly and sent a replacement — much appreciated. The new unit arrived brand new and has worked impressively well for my needs; after using it I realized the first one was defective. Only time will tell how long it lasts, but so far so good, and between the slightly higher upfront cost and avoiding expensive disposable pads, this should save me money compared to the Shark.

I’m very impressed with this compact vacuum. I replaced a Bosch battery model that lost power and, after researching newer cordless vacuums, this one stood out from the glowing reviews — after a month of use I can confidently add mine to the list. I’m picky about vacuums and hate the thoughtless design choices that make them awkward to use, but this one gets it right. It’s affordable without sacrificing build quality, has excellent suction, and is incredibly light. The charging stand actually holds the vacuum upright — finally, a design that stands on its own. It converts to a handheld effortlessly while running, so I can quickly clean window sills and pick up dead flies or spiders without stopping. Emptying and reassembling the bin is simple and mess-free. Compared with my experience of Gtech, everything is at waist height here, so there’s no need to bend down to clean or maintain it. It finds all the dirt and fluff that mysteriously accumulates, making tidying up quick and hassle-free. A tip for parents: teach your kids to vacuum — it normalizes responsibility and helps future designers understand that vacuums should be easy to use, stand upright, and be emptied and reassembled without getting the user covered in mess.
