What’s in the Box

  • Dirt Devil Endura Reach upright vacuum cleaner — stated in listing.
  • Quick-release extension wand (10 ft of reach) — stated in listing.
  • On-board tool kit — stated; specific tools not listed.
  • Easy-release dirt cup — stated.
  • Other accessories, manuals, warranty card — Not specified.

Design & Build

The listing highlights a compact, lightweight form factor but does not provide exact dimensions or weight. The Endura Reach presents as a typical bagless upright: a main household vacuum body with a base brush roll and an upright handle, plus an extension wand that detaches for higher-reach work. The manufacturer emphasizes portability and storage convenience, so expect a size and footprint that fits apartment closets or small utility spaces (exact size: Not specified).

Materials and construction details are not specified in the listing. Given industry norms for this class, the exterior is likely molded plastic with internal components designed for durability under normal household use — however, the listing does not list frame materials or impact-resistant ratings. Ergonomically, the quick-release wand and onboard tools reduce the need to bend or swap machines, which helps with convenience for quick cleanups or reaching tight spaces.

Key Features

Endura filtration system

What it is: Dirt Devil’s Endura filtration aims to maintain suction performance by separating dirt from airflow without immediate reliance on a filter bag.
Why it matters: The system is designed to reduce clogging and prevent quick suction loss as the dirt cup fills. In practice, that means fewer interruptions and steadier performance during a cleaning session — useful if you’re cleaning multiple rooms without stopping to clear filters. (source: listing, checked 2025)

Multi-floor brush roll

What it is: A brush roll built to perform across both hard floors and carpets.
Where it helps: Switching between tile, hardwood, area rugs and carpeted rooms is more seamless when the brush roll is designed for multiple surfaces. Expect it to agitate carpet fibers for deeper soil pickup while still being gentle enough for sealed hard floors.

CleanPath technology

What it is: A design feature intended to make brush roll access and maintenance easier by providing a clear path to the brush area.
Why it matters: When you encounter tangled hair or debris, the CleanPath design should let you clear the brush without flipping the vacuum over or dismantling multiple parts — a time-saver for regular maintenance and clump removal. (source: listing, checked 2025)

Quick-release extension wand with 10 ft. reach

What it is: A detachable wand that extends your effective cleaning reach up to about 10 feet.
Where it helps: This is valuable for above-floor cleaning — light fixtures, crown molding, drapes, ceiling corners — without needing a ladder. The quick-release feature means you can switch to the wand fast during a single cleaning session. Use the wand for high dusting and cobwebs, or to clean stair risers and the tops of bookshelves. (source: listing, checked 2025)

On-board tool kit

What it is: Tools stored on the vacuum for quick access while cleaning. The listing confirms an on-board kit but does not enumerate specific attachments.
Where it helps: Onboard tools minimize trips to a separate tool bag and make it simple to switch to crevice work or upholstery cleaning mid-session. Because the exact tools aren’t listed, assume the kit includes at least one crevice or upholstery-style tool, but check the retailer if you need specific attachments.

Easy-empty dirt cup

What it is: A one-touch, easy-release dirt cup for quick emptying.
Why it matters: Emptying a dirt cup with one motion reduces handling and the number of trips to the trash. This is a practical feature when dealing with lots of small pickups — fast breakfast cereal spills, kids’ craft debris, or routine daily dirt. The dirt cup design confirms this is a bagless vacuum. (source: listing, checked 2025)

Lightweight, compact design

What it is: The listing emphasizes a compact footprint and lightness for handling and storage.
Where it helps: If you live in a home with limited storage or frequently move the vacuum between levels, a lighter unit is more manageable. It also makes daily quick cleans less of a chore.

Where to buy

Performance & Use

Setup is straightforward: attach the quick-release wand when you need extended reach, and store the onboard tools in their holders for fast switching. Because the listing doesn’t specify any pre-assembly steps or tools, assume typical out-of-the-box minimal assembly (attach handle/wand and plug in). The Endura filtration claims no loss of suction over time; in day-to-day use this means you should experience steadier pickup as the dirt cup fills compared with some vacuums that rely heavily on filter restriction.

Practical tips

  • Empty the dirt cup outdoors or over a trash can to minimize dust clouds. The one-touch release speeds this up.
  • Check the brush roll periodically for hair and threads and use the CleanPath access to remove tangles without disassembly.
  • Store the wand and tools onboard to reduce setup time for quick tasks.
  • If you have allergy concerns, verify additional filter type (HEPA, sealed system) with the retailer — the listing confirms Endura filtration but does not specify HEPA or sealed allergen containment.

Maintenance

  • Regularly empty the dirt cup and rinse if the manufacturer’s manual permits (manual not specified in listing).
  • Inspect the brush roll and remove hair and fibers to keep the brush spinning freely.
  • Replace filters according to Dirt Devil’s recommendations if and when they become visibly dirty; filtration type and filter replacement schedule are not specified in the listing.

Limitations to keep in mind

  • The listing does not include noise levels, motor wattage, weight, or cord length, so if those are critical to your decision (very quiet operation, ultra-lightweight for stairs, or long cord for open floor plans), you’ll need to confirm with the retailer.
  • The onboard tool kit is confirmed but specific attachments aren’t listed — expect basic tools but confirm details before purchase if you need a specialized pet tool or motorized mini-brush.

Pros vs Cons

Who Should Buy

  • Buyers looking for an affordable, full-sized upright that can clean multiple floor types without switching machines.
  • Households that value quick, frequent cleaning sessions and want a vacuum that’s easy to store.
  • Shoppers who need occasional reach for high surfaces and prefer an integrated wand to switching to a separate tool.
  • People who prefer bagless systems and quick, one-handed dirt disposal.

Who Shouldn’t Buy

  • Users who need verified HEPA filtration or sealed allergen systems for serious allergy control — the listing only confirms Endura filtration and does not specify HEPA.
  • Buyers looking for detailed specs in advance (weight, cord length, decibel levels, motor wattage) — those figures are not listed.
  • Heavy pet owners who require specialized pet hair tools or motorized mini-tools — the listing confirms an on-board tool kit but does not list pet-specific accessories.
  • Buyers seeking a high-end, feature-rich upright with multiple motor settings, digital displays, or advanced filter technology beyond Endura — this model is positioned as practical and straightforward.

Nice product, but it’s really small—looks like a toy 😂. It still works, though.

I’ve only used this three times so far. It was a decent price when on sale. Suction is great on carpet, rugs, and even an entrance mat — I’m very happy with those results. However, suction on hard floors is disappointing. Given the name “Reach,” I expected the quick-release wand to be better; it feels flimsy and doesn’t fit together snugly. The hose that connects to the wand is very stiff and doesn’t stretch easily (maybe because it’s new) and can tip the vacuum over before it extends. Overall I’m pleased so far and will update if that changes.

Year 0, July 5 — 12:51Things looked grim. We arrived at our promised lands full of hope and blissful ignorance. We ignored the trials ahead, and we paid for it. Our tactics were failing, our weapons ineffective, and morale bottomed out. Whatever we tried, they mocked and multiplied. For every one I killed, three more appeared. The enemy that pushed us toward despair: fleas. We had a tool that worked — not the mightiest, but it helped. We all knew it was only a stopgap until we secured our footing. Now the situation is precarious and options are dwindling. Reluctantly, I call for reinforcements.

Year 0, July 6 — 07:56A message: reinforcements en route, ETA tomorrow evening. My men stared at me; then Cpt Pepper and Sgt Mint spoke up. For the first time in months I found myself smiling.

Year 0, July 7 — 13:18They arrived and needed barely five minutes to prepare. We delayed our push until later to keep things secure and settle negotiations. The enemy’s days were numbered.

Year 0, July 7 — 18:38BATTLE ONE: LIVING ROOMThe reinforcements launched their assault with a raucous battle cry. It startled me, but their effectiveness was undeniable. They struck hard and fast, clearing the infested territory with a thoroughness I’d never seen. In minutes the room was as it had been before the invasion. For the first time in months I dared hope.

Year 0, July 7 — 18:47BATTLE TWO: BEDROOM & WALKWAYThey kept going with the same relentless efficiency. No fatigue, no slowdown — just steady, impressive work. Cpt Pepper and Sgt Mint were nowhere to be seen; I suspected they were as rattled by the rallying cry as I was.

Year 0, July 7 — 18:53BATTLE THREE: STAIRWAYHere they met resistance. The stairway’s terrain required different tactics. They adapted well, but significant ground remained. I’m considering a special task force for this area.

Year 0, July 7 — 19:17BATTLE FOUR: OFFICEThis room was a chaos of debris from prior skirmishes, barely recognizable. The reinforcements assessed and adapted, and in minutes the office was cleared and contamination contained. I allowed myself a sliver of optimism.

Year 0, July 7 — 19:25We pulled back to camp. The reinforcements moved into maintenance and cleanup. Sgt Mint sat beside me, shaken but steadying now. We reviewed tactics with our new allies watching our backs. They were effective before; now they’ve become a force to be reckoned with.We won many battles today — but the war is far from over.

My old Hoover’s fan died, so I replaced it with this Dirt Devil. It’s much lighter and quieter — only a little high-pitched squeal occasionally. The new agitator bristles really work the carpet, and the vacuum captures more dust than my old one, though I still run a room air cleaner while vacuuming.

I wish manufacturers would put batteries in uprights the way they do wand-style cleaners — let the wheels carry the heavy battery instead of making you tote it. I’m also cautious about using the wand on this model: when you disconnect the hose near the agitator roller it leaves an open area where dust can escape. My old Hoover had a spring-loaded cap that helped control that airflow.

Overall it’s a nice machine. The cord is annoying (finding outlets and rewinding it constantly), and the cord retraction wraps around an accessory on the side. I removed the accessories and store them in the closet instead of carrying them around all the time. I like not buying bags anymore, but one of the filters needs replacing after a number of washings — it’s not completely maintenance-free.

The agitator bristles are only about 8 inches wide, and the bristles on the belt side sit about 2 inches from the vacuum’s edge, so you have to turn the machine and approach from the other side to get right up against walls. Because it’s so light, making a couple extra passes isn’t a problem. Overall, a good, lightweight vacuum with a few minor annoyances.

A bit small — it works well, but I still prefer the Shark.

I hadn’t owned a Dirt Devil in years, but after a Maine Coon kitten arrived in January I bought a cheap stick vacuum that seemed fine—until I realized how much long-haired cats shed. The Endura was recommended, and it picked up everything the kitty left behind; I filled an entire dirt cup. My Persian rugs are sparkling!

Excellent vacuum with powerful suction. It’s a shame I had to return it because it made a strange noise when turned off. I’ll buy it again.

Lighter than my old one, it has strong suction and an easy-to-empty dustbin. A bit small for floors but works great on the stairs. Good price.
