Intro
This is a commercial-grade upright vacuum engineered primarily for carpeted spaces. It’s outfitted with a wide cleaning head, a washable exhaust filter, and a set of on-board tools intended to handle both on-floor and above-floor cleaning tasks. The manufacturer positions it for use in commercial settings where coverage and uptime matter.
Who this is for: cleaning teams, facilities managers, small-business owners, and anyone who needs efficient, bagless carpet cleaning with easy maintenance. Quick verdict: if you need a straightforward, heavy-duty carpet vacuum that covers ground faster and keeps exhaust air cleaner, this model is worth considering.

Design & Build
The listing describes the unit as “commercial-grade,” implying a construction aimed at regular, intensive use. Exact materials (steel body, ABS plastics, metal wand composition) are not specified, so I won’t invent them here. The detachable power cord is called out as commercial-grade and replaceable, a practical design choice that reduces downtime in settings where plugs are changed frequently or a replacement is needed after wear.
Size and footprint: the central design decision you’ll notice is the 15-inch cleaning path. That wider head reduces passes compared with narrower machines and can increase productivity in large carpeted rooms. Weight is not listed, so assumptions about how heavy it feels when carrying or pushing are not verifiable. Ergonomically, the two-piece wand plus hose gives reach for stairs and furniture; the presence of a crevice tool and dusting brush makes above-floor detail work easier without switching machines.
In short: the build looks functional and serviceable from the details provided, with emphasis on uptime (detachable cord) and air-quality control (washable exhaust filter). Exact casing materials, handle design, and balance are not specified.
Key Features
15-inch Wide Cleaning Path — cover more area, faster
A 15-inch cleaning path is one of this vacuum’s headline numbers. Compared with typical 12-inch units, a wider head covers over 25% more area per pass, which translates to fewer passes on broad carpeted surfaces and faster overall cleaning. That’s especially useful in lobbies, conference rooms, classrooms, and other medium-to-large carpeted spaces where time equals labor cost. (source: listing, checked 2025)
Real-life benefit: if you clean long hallways or open-plan offices, the wider head noticeably reduces the time spent moving back and forth. It’s not a turbocharged floor machine for tiny crevices, but it accelerates bulk carpetwork.
Washable HEPA Exhaust Filter — better exhaust air quality
The vacuum includes a washable HEPA filter on the exhaust. HEPA-class filtration captures fine particulates that standard filters miss, reducing the amount of dust and allergens returned to the room. Because it’s washable, you can clean and reuse the element rather than buying replacements as often.
Real-life benefit: in commercial environments—schools, clinics, or small offices—improved exhaust filtration helps maintain indoor air quality between deeper HVAC cleanings. Note: follow the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions for best results and rinse/dry cycles to avoid damaging the filter.
Multi-surface and Above-floor Tools — one machine for many jobs
Though the listing specifies “carpet” as the primary use, the package includes a hose, two-piece wand, crevice tool, and dusting brush so you can clean edges, upholstery, vents, and other above-floor surfaces. That versatility makes the vacuum practical for janitorial carts or multi-room service routes where you don’t want to carry a separate detail vacuum.
Real-life benefit: transition smoothly from vacuuming a conference room rug to cleaning chair cushions and HVAC grilles without swapping equipment. The two-piece wand helps you reach ceilings or stairways more safely and with better posture.
Commercial-grade Detachable Power Cord — less downtime, easier replacement
A detachable, commercial-grade power cord reduces the need to unplug and re-plug frequently and simplifies replacement if the cord becomes frayed or damaged. In a busy commercial setting that’s a small but valuable feature: rather than send the entire machine for repair over a damaged cord, you can swap the cord and get back to work.
Real-life benefit: less service downtime and lower long-term maintenance cost for high-frequency users.
Removable 3.5-quart Dirt Cup — bagless convenience
This unit uses a removable dirt cup with a 3.5-quart capacity, eliminating the need for disposable bags. That makes daily emptying straightforward and reduces consumable costs.
Real-life benefit: for offices and smaller commercial spaces, a 3.5-quart cup means you’ll likely empty once per shift or less, depending on traffic. The transparency of most cups also gives a quick visual cue for full/near-full status without opening the unit.
Carpet and Rug Institute Certified — third-party cleaning validation
The vacuum is backed by certification from the Carpet and Rug Institute, indicating it meets certain standards for carpet cleaning performance. Independent or industry certifications help validate the machine’s suitability for carpeted surfaces rather than relying solely on vendor claims.
Real-life benefit: if you’re specifying equipment for a facility that follows best practices, a CRI pedigree helps justify the purchase to stakeholders.
Performance & Use
Setup is minimal: attach the wand, hook up the hose and tools, and secure the detachable cord. Because power, motor, and brush-roll specs are not listed, I can’t provide suction numbers or motor wattage; the listing focuses on features and accessories rather than raw electrical specs. (Not specified: motor power, brush-roll RPM, decibel levels.)
Practical tips for daily use:
- Empty the dirt cup after heavy sessions. The 3.5-quart cup is large, but compacted debris reduces suction if left too long.
- Rinse the washable HEPA filter according to the manufacturer’s instructions and let it dry fully before reinstalling. A wet filter damages the motor and can grow mildew.
- Inspect and replace the detachable cord if you notice fraying or damage; because the cord is replaceable, this is an inexpensive way to avoid equipment downtime.
- Use the crevice tool and dusting brush for edge work and upholstery. The two-piece wand improves reach for staircases and high fixtures.
- If you operate on multiple surface types, test suction and brush settings (if adjustable) on a small area first to avoid over-agitating delicate fibers.
Maintenance:
- Routine: empty cup, check filter weekly for frequent use.
- Periodic: deep-clean the washable filter monthly under heavy use; check brush-roll for hair/tangled debris and cut away entanglements.
- Parts: the detachable cord and replaceable filter mean you can service the unit without sending it offsite for minor repairs. (source: listing, checked 2025)

Closing — quick guidance
If your priority is efficient carpet maintenance across medium-to-large indoor areas and you want a bagless machine with good exhaust filtration and simple replaceable parts, this model delivers on those practical fronts. It’s a no-frills, serviceable commercial vacuum solution with a focus on coverage and air quality rather than on-spec performance metrics.
For a purchase decision: confirm weight and motor/suction specs with the seller if portability or raw performance matters to you. Otherwise, expect a solid carpet vacuum that reduces pass time and keeps exhaust air cleaner.

Really like the suction power of vacuum and attachment. I wish the cord was retractable and it is a little stubborn opening up the canister to clean. I think with time this will get easier to open.

Vacuum works great; this is the second Sanitaire vacuum I have bought. I previously bought a different model for one of my apartment buildings that I manage, loved it and bought this model one for another building. The suction picks up the finest particles of dirt/sand/hair/etc, cord is very long so don’t have to go back and forth switching outlets. I use this at a large apartment complex and needed a wide path vacuum. I would recommend this over any expensive commercial vacuum.

Year and half update: Still love this vacuum and I hate vacuuming/cleaning. No issues, except for user error. Vacuumed a cord and the belt broke… but non issue as it came with an extra belt and super easy to change. Took maybe 5-10 minutes. Haven’t seen any loss of suction. Definitely recommend cleaning the filters out regularly especially the canister filter (easy to clean with a compressor) .
Half the price of a the cheapest dyson with better suction power and durability. Easy to clean, disassemble/assemble. Very long extension cord. The hose for tight spots is also king and durable.

Truly an outstanding vacuum. Has great power. Was very surprised, and pleased, with the amount of dirt in the canister after only two uses of cleaning about 1700 sq ft. Cord length, width path, and quiet operation made it very easy to use.
Have to disagree with those who say it is hard to empty, at least by my experience. Red button on top removes the canister, one push of a button on top of the canister and a ccw twist and the top comes right off. Lots of dirt, but that is what you want. Easy to clean the dust cup filter, which you will want to do often. I just take it outside, make sure I am upwind, and use a 1′ disposable paint brush to clean the filter elements.
Have to put it together, not hard but did have an issue. Two screws attach the handle to the body into plastic predrilled holes. One went in easy, the other was a challenge since the hole had not been opened. It was filled with solid plastic. Rather than deal with the aggravation and box it back up I just took a portable screwdriver drill and drilled a pilot hole, then the screw went in.
I kept my last Hoover for 25 years before it gave up the ghost. We will see how long this one lasts. That is the true test.

This vacuum worked wonderfully for the first 6 months. The suction was great, easy to use, easy to clean and overall a great vacuum. 6 months in, it completely stopped working. One day I noticed the suction wasn’t as great as it had been and the next day it wouldn’t turn on at all. We cleaned the filters regularly and the canister regularly in hopes of making it last for years to come. That certainly was not the case for us.

Great vacuum for work! Has great power and easy to use

I Purchased two of these units and returned them both for the same reason, the outside filter does not attach properly to the machine and the floor Height adjustment knob only works when turning to the left. The suction is great but that’s it, it’s very hard to remove the canister top to empty the refuse (my wife couldn’t remove it). , the beater bar never stops and if you touch anything with the beater bar housing it makes a grinding noise. Overall a very poorly made machine not user friendly.

This is a very good vacuum as far as suction and ease of using. On the highest (?) setting it actually moves like a self propelled vacuum! On board tools work as expected. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is it’s EXTREMELY hard to unscrew the top to empty the canister-very hard! If you have nails-forget it. Once you get the top off it’s easy to empty, but then you have to find a place where you can “bang” the filter against to clean it out AND it definitely needs cleaned almost every time-lots of dirt gets trapped in it-guess it’s doing its job, but hard to clean w/o getting dirt all over yourself. I probably won’t purchase this again only bc it’s so hard to empty canister.
