eufy C10 Review: Slim, Self‑Emptying Pet‑Hair Powerhouse

Best $150 Ever!!! LOVE this little machine!!!

We’ve been using the Eufy for about 3 months now and I’m in love with this product! We have sealed brick floors, two cats and a small dog and live in the desert. Between the dust and the pet hair this vacuum is a godsend. It makes its way through our home, sucking up hair and dirt and dust in ways. I didn’t think was possible by such an affordable machine. It makes its way around table legs under our couch along the walls in and out of rooms and returns home to its base!! So I started in the evening & wake up in the morning and it’s sitting already charged again, ready to go.
It runs for about an hour. I’d say before returning to its base. Our house is very long and so the one thing I do is that I shut a couple of the doors that we don’t use a lot so that I can focus on the area as I want.
Initially, I had it kind of in a hidden corner location in a small room, but that did not really work as well. I’ve now moved it in the kitchen where I wanted to focus its energy and things are going great. It returns every night to its recharging after cleaning the majority of the house.
Because of the way, our house is laid out and the size I am considering getting another one just for the other end of our house.
We bought this when our vacuum died and I haven’t needed to vacuum once since. I’d wanted to get one of these for a long time, but they were so expensive and we did not like the idea of entering a map to our home into a device that was on our Wi-Fi. I love that this does not connect to the Wi-Fi and all you have to do is just simply plug it in and push the power button and it will find its way around the house. I’ve watched it so many times and it does an incredible job Without needing to map our home.
There have been a couple times I wanted it to specifically focus on one area and in that case, I simply blocked it from being able to leave or by shutting it in a room or just picking it up turning it around and putting it back.
We are extremely happy with this little vacuum! I would buy it again in a minute, and I’m thinking about getting it as a Christmas present.
I like that it alerts me if it does get stuck. There have been a couple of times it got lost before I found the right location to house the base, but none of this changes my mind about what a fabulous device it is! If you’re thinking about it, do!!
Finally, the noise level is not an issue at all. We live in a very quiet place and it does not bother me at all… I’m just so happy it does such a good job. It makes my life easier!

Tengo una gata y un perro que tiran muchisimo pelo y siempre era un tema barrer 3 veces al día y aun así parecía que solo se removía el polvo y la pelusa….CON ESTO SE ACABó EL PROBLEMA. La aspiradora es muy fácil de usar y de ligar al teléfono y al internet de la casa, limpia perfectamente pelo, polvo y basurita pequeña ( la que es grande no la succiona) Cuando salgo de casa y se me olvida ponerla puedo activarla desde mi celular sin problema, la dejo aprox 1 hora y con eso es más que suficiente.
Hace poco ruido (muy tolerable) y se limpia sin problema ( tiene un compartimento donde almacena el polvo y basura y se vacía muy fácil).
Los sensores de caiga funcionan muy bien ( aunque no los he puesto TAN a prueba) no la he conectado a la Alexa pero la verdad con la aplicación del celular me es suficiente…incluso fuera de casa puedo activarla o detenerla.
De verdad esta compra vale cada centavo

We borrowed our friends’ Roomba when we first started thinking of buying a robot vac. It was super loud and our cats freaked out. I chose this one based on the reviews of how quiet it is. First time using – our cats were curious and alert, but they just observed from the couch (as opposed to full-on hiding in the closet when we ran the Roomba). Now, two weeks later, they just sniff it and walk around it as it goes about its vacuuming business. Don’t get me wrong, you will definitely hear that it’s running, but it’s a lot quieter and more pleasant than when we borrowed the Roomba.

We have a 600 sq ft apartment, and it gets the whole place clean within its battery life. Our floors are all laminate. It picks up all the cat hair. It can easily get in and out of the smaller areas (galley kitchen, bathroom, other side of the bed that’s further away from the bedroom door). Long hair is not an issue in this household, but we find that for clumps of cat hair, we do need to clean them off the brush bristles as they get stuck there, rather than getting sucked up into the dust chamber. This is not a big deal, just a couple minutes of picking fur clumps off after 5+ runs. We mostly run this when we’re home, since we have to pick up all cat toys and food bowls before running it, anyway.

Where it gets stuck:

– Slightly different coloured floor due to shadows – it must have sensed a drop-off or obstacle, so it backed off. We have dark laminate flooring. On sunny days, or at night with even artificial light, it’s OK. On a cloudy day with weak sun coming in from the window, it misjudged the shadows on the floor.
– The legs of a rolling office chair.
– Desk legs. We have an IKEA Micke desk with the U-shaped metal legs. It can sometimes get one side over the leg, but can’t get off it. We placed a laundry hamper by the desk to prevent it from getting stuck there.

Very happy with this purchase! Hopefully it will perform just as well once the heavy fur shedding season is upon us.

My first robot vacuum so I have no point of reference, but I’m pretty impressed so far. Its mapping and obstacle detection capabilities are impressive and it’s neat to watch it figure its way around things that are in the way. Vacuuming on carpet and hardwood floors is pretty quiet and unobtrusive. It’s quieter than a normal vacuum would be doing the same work. It cleans in overlapping back and forth passes so it does a good job of getting the whole floor.
My only complaints are that it’s loud when driving over transitions on floors. There’s no suspension on the hard plastic caster so anytime it drives across a grout joint on tile, or over a hardwood floor transition it comes down hard and surprisingly loud. It’s fine one time driving between rooms, but when driving through my tiled entry way repeatedly hearing it crash down is annoying to listen to and concerning.
It can leave dust or crumbs on transitions between wood and carpet. Such as when climbing onto or off of a kitchen mat.
It has a tendency to eat cat toys, usually wrapping them around the brush and requiring you to remove the brush and unwind the toy. The brush is easily removed and cleared, but it does defeat the purpose of an autonomous vacuum somewhat if I still have to babysit it sometimes.
Lastly the self emptying process that it performs when it returns to its dock is much louder than its normal process and can catch you off guard if you’re not expecting it. It sounds like a large full powered vacuum but is over pretty quickly so it’s not bad.

Update: 6 months later and we still love E, we had a little problem with him recently and I called Anker and had amazing customer support, Thank you Amanda!

Great seller, great vacuum. E (Eufy the Eliminater) came well packaged with everything I was expecting. The dogs (3 of them) have a healthy respect or fear of it, and give it space.

I did a ton of research before deciding on Eufy. I looked at roomba, ilife and a few others that were comparable.
Eufy was the only one that met my list of musts.
Must
-have good suction
-have large dust bin
-be able to schedule
-be reasonably priced

Wanted – a pattern clean, it doesn’t do that but it does a great job without it.

My husband who hates vacuums and the noise they make says it’s his new favourite family member. It’s quiet for a vacuum. Even on max mode its quieter than my canister vac. But don’t be fooled it has amazing suction. Ran him for the 1st time 1 day after me vacuuming and the dust he found….I was shocked.

I haven’t vacuumed in 5 days! So exciting.

The extra for the app model (version c) was definitely worth it. You can only set 1 scheduled time per day but with the app you can change the schedule on a whim. So 9am run, change schedule and send it out again for 4:30pm.

It runs on boost IQ mode for 1hour and 33minutes, takes around 6 hours to charge in between cleanings so when adding in a new time I kept in mind its run time and charge time. (Though the app tells me when its charged, charging, running and going home)

The dustbin is huge, 3 high shedding dogs and as long as it is emptied daily I have no concerns of it filling up.

The cleaning brush for the roller works amazing. All 3 brushes are easy to install, remove and clean.

2 of the filters are washable the 3rd (hepa) I just take outside and tap it to knock out the worst of the dust. It will probably need replacing in a few months but nothing horrible.

It has only gotten stuck once that it couldn’t get itself out of. We forgot to shut the bathroom door and it got in there and couldn’t make the 3/4 inch step out.

I said in the title I would show you under my couch so I’ve attached the picture. 3 dogs, 2 kids and nothing but E doing the vacuuming for 5 days. He ran about 2 hours prior to photo. Love this little guy.

I owned a Neato Botvac Connected since 2015 (the first Neato I had with LIDAR). After several replacements and about a year of issues it still worked really well for many years, but it finally died. After a few months without a robovac the floors under the bed were getting filthy, so I bought the Eufy 30C. It was only about $10 more than the 15C and Amazon showed a newer model for the 30C, so I picked it. I paid well under $200 and planned to return it if it was bad.

First run had a problem: one of the front brushes popped off while climbing a short rug. I snapped it back on and it continued, but about an hour later both front brushes had come off. It still collected a full bin of dust, cat hair, and debris. After reading the Q&A I realized the brushes need to be snapped on fully. I reinstalled them correctly and after maybe seven runs I haven’t lost one since. I did have something wrapped around a brush and had a hard time removing it—I finally got a flatware knife under it to pop the brush off. Lesson: make sure the brushes fully click into place.

Overall the 30C functions very well and has exceeded my expectations. Compared with my old Neato I like three things best:1) It’s much thinner. The Neato required raising furniture on “stilts” to avoid getting stuck; the 30C has no trouble with standard-height furniture.2) It’s very quiet. The Neato could be heard from any room; the Eufy is so quiet you can have a normal conversation with it a few feet away.3) It’s a great value.

Negatives: navigation is a bit chaotic. The Neato cleaned in straight lines and produced maps, which is fancier but also more expensive and more prone to needing repairs (I had to send my Neato in twice). I’m fine with the Eufy’s more random pattern.

I purchased a 3-year extended warranty in addition to the 12-month manufacturer warranty, so I’ll have roughly four years of coverage. Replacement brushes and filters seem inexpensive. Some people complain about battery life; for a very large home that might matter, but my 1,400 sq ft house gets done on one charge. If battery was an issue I’d consider buying two units and assigning each to a zone.

I gave it 5 stars because it performs its function well at a good price. My home is mostly hard floors with a couple of rugs, and we have two cats with lots of cat hair. I haven’t had to clean the main brush since about the third run. Some reviews mention long hair fouling the brushes, so your mileage may vary. So far I’m very pleased with the purchase and will update if anything changes.

First and foremost, when you’re reading these reviews you will want pay attention to which vacuum they bought so that you know the reviews are about the one you’re interested in. There are 3 or 4 different vacuums being reviewed on this same thread.

Update 6\6\25:
I noticed today why it tells you you should have six feet open space directly in front of the charging port: when the vacuum is returning home, she will go so many feet out away from the port so that she can turn around and line up to get on the charging nodes. In reality, I don’t think she needs more than 4 ft… But there may be issues with her being able to turn around if there’s anything blocking her. 6 ft is a lot of space, so you might be able to get away with 4 to 5, depending on your setup. Otherwise, you would have to use the remote to manually return her to the station, or pick her up and put her on the charger yourself. Not having the space is not a deal-breaker, it just means you will less of the “auto” features. Today I did let her run until her battery got low and she maneuvered herself back to the charger without any assistance.

I also want to say she is doing a pretty job at cleaning. I’m used to having to sweep and then mop the floors… But after letting her run through the whole apartment for 2 days, when I’m up today it was such a nice smooth process. I didn’t get a bunch of debris and hair and other things clogged in the mop (which we all know can cause problems like scratching on your floors). This little vacuum is a blessing!

If I’m not mistaken I believe her paperwork said that she uses about 40 watts of energy… Like a light bulb… when charging. I would think that that means that her energy usage, while charging, is equivalent to leaving a lamp on.

I literally just got this vacuum this morning and only did a test run for about 20 minutes. A big reason why I didn’t let it go all over the apartment is because I’m still in the process of moving and I have packaging everywhere on the floors, creating too many obstacles.

With that being said, so far so good. I just let her run around in “Auto Mode” and she worked great. Yes, my robot vacuum is a “she.” I named her Suki, as she “Suki a lot of dirt.” Plus Suki is a name for “loved one,” and I love her already!! I swore up and down I was never going to be one of those people who have one of these… and here we are. And I probably never would have if I had not stayed with my sister and her husband for several months when I first moved to a new State. They have one and I really noticed how much a difference it makes and keeping up with pet hair and everything else.

What seemed like really haphazard navigation ended up being a lot more mapped out than it first appeared. While it look like she was just going in random directions with no uniform, I did start to notice that she was not going over the exact same path upon return. So, somehow, it’s working to where I can tell the machine is covering everywhere. It definitely appears to be mapping while it’s in use, but I know it does not store mapping. That’s a big part of the need for Wi-Fi with other robot vacuums. I did notice that a couple people were complaining in the reviews about her constantly vacuuming just the edges by the wall… This is probably because they didn’t realize that she was in that mode. Because you can literally make it so that she focuses only on the borders. There’s quite a few nifty features that you can program the vacuum to do… And it even has a scheduling option so that you can schedule the vacuum to go off at whatever time you want (as well as a way to cancel the schedules if things change). Overall, pretty nifty. It does what I need it to do, and that’s all that matters to me. I don’t need a bunch of fancy features. My apartment is just under 800 square feet; therefore, I don’t need it to do special mapping to try to remember where it left off after a charge. It’s pretty much going to get the whole place on one charge.

One MAJOR reason why I selected this, (outside of the lower cost) is because it does NOT require an app or Wi-Fi connection (in fact you absolutely cannot connect this particular vacuum to an app or Wi-Fi, so if that is what you’re looking for this is not the vacuum for you). Sure, with an app you can do things like trigger her to start running before you even get home from work… But, quite honestly, that doesn’t even matter to me. Because, if I learned anything from watching my sister and her husband’s pricier, self emptying robot vacuum? It’s that these things are constantly getting themselves into trouble and you need to be there to rescue them, anyway (which is a total drain on their battery if you aren’t there to save them). So, there’s no reason why I would need the robot vacuum to run while I’m not home. On a side note… I found it quite hilarious that the instructions say that you should not place her near the stairs or a cliff. And I was scratching my head wondering how many people with fortresses were buying these things. 😂😂😂

And speaking of running… Very quiet. I would have to say that my stand up floor fan is way louder than this thing. The AC unit is louder than this thing. I would assume that some of that has to do with the fact that the suction is not superior in this thing, as it’s only at 2000 (really pricey robot vacuums are around 4,000). However, I have laminate floors (fake wood flooring in a linoleum-type flooring) and the throw rug in my living room is one of those very low profile new kind that are washable, which is comparable to a thick blanket.

Speaking of the area rug… This thing had no problem going up and over and onto it regardless what angle she approached the rug. Sometimes she came onto the carpet straight on and other times she came up on to the carpet at an angle. And she didn’t even blink an eye!

As stated before, I only took her for a test run and she picked up so much “tuck” in that short timeframe. I was thrilled that she even got all the little itty bitty popcorn pieces from all the styrofoam my furniture and other items were delivered in. It’s like no matter how careful you are taking things out of the boxes those little tiny popcorn pieces get everywhere and they are so impossible to sweep up. Keep in mind I had, just the night before, swept and mopped most of the area that she ran over today in her test run and there was still that much stuff in her canister

The canister is very easy to remove. You don’t have to flip her upside down or anything. You just push down on the little release button with your thumb and pop it out. That is also where you will find a filter that you can clean out. Read the manual that comes with it throughout. It’s very helpful on how to keep her clean or else she won’t work properly.

I love the remote. She got stuck trying to go over packaging from my couches that was on the floor. When she didn’t get the clue that she needed to back up and try something else, I just held down the down button for backwards and she totally backed up like a remote control car. I just pushed the right arrow button and she turned in that direction and I let it go and she took off. That was so awesome!

When I felt that I had seen enough I decided to go ahead and use the remote to return her back to her charging station. She immediately responded (didn’t seem to want to respond to the remote commands when she was in another room, though). Once you push the button to send her home to charge, she will start moving slower. I think this is just the devices way of being very accurate in homing in on her docking station so that she can properly align for a proper charge. And speaking of our proper charge when I first unpackaged her I had to put her on the charger to charge her fully as it is recommended in the instructions before use. And I noticed at some point the orange light wasn’t flashing which is what tells you she’s charging. So I just hit the auto button as if I was going to send her out to suck up my dirt… And after she got a couple feet away from the dock I just hit the return button on the remote so that she could get on the dock properly. Work like a charm… didn’t have any issues with the charging stopping at that point.

So I really can’t comment on longevity for the battery or parts. But I will say it would be wise to purchase spare brushes and filters for down the road just so that you have them when you need them. Because these things do wear down with use. The more you use it the quicker it’s going to wear down. Just a heads up. But these are not a “one-time purchase and forget about it,” just like most bagless vacuums require maintenance and upkeep.

There was some damage to the box that it came in…. Not sure if it matters or not.

If anything changes I will try to remember to come back and update this review. I did purchase an extra 2-year warranty just to be on the safe side.

Update, May 15, 2024: Today the new battery lasted 100 minutes.

Update, May 8, 2024: I sent an email to the manufacturer explaining the battery situation and they sent me a new battery under warranty.

Very poor manual because of very small illustrations which are not the same as on the robot, plus does not explain how to delete a setting. A fairly good robot though, cleans well but tends to remain in larger rooms, it starts in the living room of 1,500 sq.’ apartment, manages to find the bedroom, but once it exits the bedroom it does not go back to finish the bedroom and washroom. My fix for this is to put it in the bedroom and close the door and let it run until it finishes the bedroom, then take it to the living room. It does not clean near the charging station. Very quiet, bumps very gently. When it is working beside you, you can still hold a conversation.

It is very easy to clean the waste bin, roller, wheels and filter. I clean it and wipe off the machine each time I use it, which is twice a month. I find this vacuum very easy to use and clean. It usually runs for about 1.5 hours, then recharges.

For $200.00 Canadian it is an okay value. It does not have the headaches and problems associated with programming using cell phones. I understand why manufacturers went that route, but it isn’t good.

TIPS: do one room at a time. The reason is that the robot learns the room and wastes less time learning multiple rooms. Give it plenty of time to fully recharge between uses. CLEAN IT, CLEAN IT, CLEAN IT after each use – remember to do the wheels, they pop out so easily.

Excelente. Fácil de usar, el precio que se paga vale la pena. Quiero decir que recoge muy bien el pelo de gato, que es para lo cual lo ocupo y que la casa permanezca limpia. Yo lo he usado con el control remoto y funciona muy bien. Prácticamente el ruido que hace es mínimo, yo tengo un bebé y cuando duerme el ruido no lo despierta para nada. Solo no sube a las alfombras peludas pero el piso lo deja muy bien. Estoy muy contenta con esta aspiradora.

I previously bought a Deebot for use on our main level floor, where we spend most of our time at home. It works great and connects with our Google Home. But we run it in the middle of the weekdays because it’s pretty noisy. Still, we really like the benefits of a robotic vacuum. So, we thought we might try it on our lower level. I set it up downstairs, but found that, while it seemed to pick up dirt, the back end bounced quite a bit over the berber carpet, which isn’t an issue on the main floor which is hardwood with only one entry rug.

So, we went about looking for an alternative for downstairs. We really wanted something that can connect with our Google Home, so that limited our options within our budget. There were lots of great reviews of iRobot products for carpet, but I had a hard time with the price. There were a few other brands, as well, but they were obscure brands, and I didn’t want to be stuck with an expensive vacuum and no customer service.

Eufy was a brand I kept in mind as I shopped because we’d had a lot of experience with their parent brand, Anker. They’ve always sold us a great product at a reasonable price, and importantly, if a product failed for any reason, we’d experienced great customer service. I finally decided I’d pull the trigger on the RoboVac 30C because it had the features we wanted.

I ordered it from Amazon on Thanksgiving with a bunch of other stuff I wanted to get. I was a bit disappointed that there was no Black Friday pricing, but it was still very competitive over the deeply discounted Roomba models *(see below).

It arrived on Sunday, so very quick shipping via Amazon Prime. We set it up right away. The first, VERY OBVIOUS thing we noticed… It’s quiet* (see below). Way quieter than the Deebot. As we had hoped, it also picked up dirt from the carpet easily and without bouncing.

The magnetic strips also helped to avoid another pitfall of the Deebot… We have these chairs with unusual bases that are low enough on the edges for the vacuums to drive themselves up on, then there’s a hole about 3 inches from the edge that creates a cliff for the vacuum to get hung up on. Both vacuums will do that, but the Eufy 30C has those strips which it won’t cross. Put the strips around the base of the chairs, and no hangups.

The only issue right now is that, unfortunately, the Eufy app doesn’t play with Google Home very well. We are assuming that will get fixed. And if it doesn’t, the app works pretty well as a stand alone, which is the next best thing, so I won’t dock any stars for that.

Overall, I am extremely pleased with this vacuum so far. It does clean very well and doesn’t have any problem doing approximately 400 square feet on a single charge around furniture and other odds and ends on the floor.

*Customer service : Many vendors will contact Amazon customers shortly after purchase of one of their products to make sure all is well. Eufy did this. I thought I’d give them a preliminary review because I wanted to let them know that things were going well so far. I mentioned that it worked great (didn’t know about the Google home issue, yet, but I was overall pleased). I mentioned as an aside that it was a tiny bit annoying that it arrived on Sunday and the Cyber Monday deal made a significant price difference. Still, I liked it enough that I wasn’t going to be too annoyed. I certainly wasn’t going to try to return it and buy it again to get the better price. A couple days later, they thanked me for my comments… And refunded me the difference in price. They definitely didn’t have to. But it was pretty awesome of them.

*Noise level: My hubby set up the schedule for the RoboVac 30C. He decided to go with the same schedule as the Deebot, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the middle of the day. But instead of setting it up for 12:01 pm, he set it for am. It was running in the middle of the night and we didn’t know it for 2+ weeks. I discovered it when I decided to make sure to have the app on my phone too and saw the scheduling error. To be fair, we sleep on the upper level of our modified split level house and the RoboVac is on the lower level, but I have ears like a bat, and had no idea. And yes, it’s cleaning – – I’ve been cleaning out the dust bin for it regularly. Definitely wouldn’t have been that way with the Deebot. So, yeah. It’s quiet.

I had a Roomba for a few years. He was named Bender and he wandered around like a drunk toddler, got stuck on chair bases constantly (dirty jokes apply), and if the smallest thing was wrong, he simply didn’t activate for the daily vacuuming routine. There was a lot of fussing with the app and hostage level negotiating to no avail. I gave up.

I decided he didn’t last long enough to justify the cost so started researching more budget friendly options. After reading a ton of reviews, I chose the Eufy. I got the base model and figured if I hated it, at least it wasn’t $700 down the drain. I love this thing. We named it M3gan and she gets things done. If, for whatever reason, she is not in a position to begin her daily run, she beeps at me so I can fix it. Then she does the run. She has picked up an absolute ton of dog hair and dirt. I have to stay on top of it, because there is a finite amount of space in her bucket and she does not come with a bag to empty into. That is okay. I can randomly pick her up when I walk by, dump her, put her back on the floor, tell her to go again, and she does. There is no app. Just a remote control and auto timer that you set with it. She’s super quiet when she’s not alerting me something is wrong. It’s fantastic. I can go back to vacuuming manually once a week or so.

I have two messy kids and two indoor/outdoor dogs that Never. Stop. Shedding. She is handling it like a champ. Yes, I need to maintain the roller (because there is an unholy amount of hair in my house). That is fine. It pops out super easy, I detangle it, pop it back in, and she’s good to go. No more screwing around trying to troubleshoot an app. That alone will save me hours per month. Yes, she bumps into things, but she gets the job done. I’ll happly get a little agility training in dodging a vacuum that helps me clean the house.
