Roborock Qrevo Review: 8000Pa Smart Vacuum‑Mop

So far; so excellent. We’ve had Floorence Mopingale at work now for only 2 or 3 weeks but, so far, we’re really impressed. The navigation is top-notch. The robot creates a map of your home and gets virtually every square inch using the most efficient path. We have almost all hardwood floors with just a couple of small area rugs which the robot identifies no problem and skips the mopping. We have a big dog who sheds constantly. Before we had Floorence taking care of our floors, there was dog hair everywhere all the time. Now Floorence runs daily and there are no dog hairs anywhere. A couple of points to note: We have a very small home and use our robot on only the first floor. Despite this, I find I am emptying the dirty water tank and filling the clean water tank twice weekly. Roborock’s claim that you will only need to interact with the docking station every 7 weeks is a load of horse poop. Also, the mop heads get ever so slightly stinky (despite our having the dock wash the mop heads after cleaning each room as is recommended by Roborock) after a couple of week’s use and need to be cleaned every 2 weeks or so. Despite these 2 very insignificant drawbacks, we are absolutely over the moon with our Roborock QV35a. The only question now is “how well will it hold up over the years?”. I will add to this review at the 6 month and 1-year mark to review the durability. As it stands now, however, best household cleaning purchase I have ever made. Heads up! From what I’ve read online during exhaustive research on this product, original Roborock brand accessories and replacement parts (replacement mop heads, dust bags, filters, etc.) are quite expensive. However you can get them on Allee Ekspress for half that price. Search “original OEM Roborock accessories” and get the ones that are marked with the Roborock logo. In short: awesome robot, great cleaning job, fantastic navigation, and expensive accessories. HIGHLY recommend!

Just for reference- I am comparing this vacuum to my old original iRobot vacuum I owned since 2020. I ran it for total of 2262hours.

I’m genuinely impressed with the vacuum. After owning it for nearly three months, I wanted to wait before sharing a thorough review. Here are the features I particularly appreciate:

1. It operates very quietly.
2. The vacuuming capacity is perfectly sized for my needs.
3. You can adjust the suction strength.
4. Picks up all dog hair
5. You can select which room to clean.
6. The mopping feature lets you control the intensity depending on dirt.

The only time it makes noise it’s when it docks and empties the vacuum but that’s expected.

So far I have ran the vacuum for total of 73 hours. I am very happy with my purchase. I would strongly recommend it.

We previously had a Roborock that we mainly used for vacuuming and it was great, but we decided to upgrade to this one that does almost everything. It cleans very well and handles the day-to-day needs of the house. The battery is good, it’s smart, and the app is easy to use. The robot is 110V so we had to use a converter since our region is 220V, but that wasn’t a problem and it works perfectly. Compared to our old S5 Max, the Qrevo S is much quieter. It mostly runs on its own, though you do need to clean it occasionally to keep it working well. It’s expensive, but very functional, elegant and robust — we really like it.

I have owned a Roborock Q5+ for years and have been happy with it, but when we adopted a dog and manually mopping our hardwood floors became a chore, it was time to upgrade our robovac. I purchased the new Qrevo S when it became available. Roborock has a plethora of different robovac models (too many, in fact), and the Qrevo S isn’t their top-of-the-line model by any means.

The specs and features seemed impressive compared to my old Q5+: auto mop washing and self-drying (my Q5+ has no mopping feature), 7000Pa suction (my Q5+ is only 2700Pa), obstacle avoidance (which the Q5+ lacks), ultrasonic carpet sensing (not available on the Q5+), quieter operation (63dB vs. 67dB), and new features like the ability to lift the mops by 10mm when encountering carpet and spinning them at 2,000 rpm while cleaning floors. Having never owned a mopping robovac before, I was excited to put this one through its paces.

After unboxing (it was very well packaged), I set up the Qrevo S with my existing Roborock app running on my Google Pixel 8 Pro (Android, app version 4.36.10). Upon powering up the Qrevo S and launching the app, it automatically detected the unit and guided me through connecting it to my home Wi-Fi. This, however, is where I ran into an issue: it wouldn’t connect to my home Wi-Fi. It turns out — and this is documented — that the Qrevo S (and most, if not all, of Roborock’s robovac products) doesn’t support 5 GHz Wi-Fi; it only works on 2.4 GHz. In this day and age (it’s almost the year 2025), it’s disappointing to find the lack of 5 GHz Wi-Fi support. I had to temporarily disable the 5 GHz radio on my router just to complete the initial Wi-Fi setup. Once completed, I re-enabled 5 GHz on my router, and the Qrevo S continued working fine. It’s not a deal breaker, but still annoying nonetheless.

Once the unit was connected to my home network, the next step was to map out the home’s floor plan via the “quick mapping” feature, where the robovac roams around the house, mapping the layout and rooms. For my home, where the Qrevo S was placed on the first floor, it quickly mapped the floor plan in about 15 minutes. That was quick, compared to my old Q5+. Using the app, you can edit the floor plan by adding, deleting or merging rooms and renaming them, but I found the process somewhat finicky and, at times, frustrating. This isn’t a hardware issue but rather a limitation of the app (in this case, Android). There is a certain trick to creating rooms (by adding dividing lines), and sometimes you need to “think outside the box” when placing the dividing lines to separate rooms, which may require multiple attempts. Again, this isn’t a hardware problem, and hopefully the app will improve over time.

How did the Qrevo S perform as a robovac? Impressive, especially compared to the Q5+. As mentioned, I’ve never had a robovac with a mop before, and it did a commendable job mopping the hardwood floors and vacuuming carpets. What impressed me most were two features: its ability to automatically stop spinning the mops and slightly raise them when detecting carpets (even high-pile carpets) and its “Reactive Tech” obstacle avoidance technology. The latter was able to detect Murphy’s (our dog) ball/toy in its path, note it on the map/app, and avoid it. I have attached photos as proof. LiDAR-based navigation is standard. The unit also supports multiple floor mappings (up to four floors), but for now, I have it set up for just the main floor.

When the robovac finished its cleaning cycle, it automatically found its way back to its multifunctional dock and initiated its docking sequence. Once docked, it began the self-cleaning process: washing and drying the mops, emptying the dustbin (330ml capacity), refilling the water tank on the robovac (80ml capacity) from the clean water bin if needed, and recharging the unit.

Summary:

Pros: Impressive robovac with automatic self-cleaning, mopping capability, LiDAR-based navigation, and obstacle avoidance.
Cons: Only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and editing the floor map in the app can sometimes be frustrating.

Where to begin? I was always hesitant to buy a robotic cleaner. I’d had a cheap one before and it did okay, but it missed a lot—especially in a two-story house; it sometimes couldn’t find its dock, etc.

After researching a lot, I can honestly say this Roborock is fantastic. The app is intuitive, setup is minimal, it connects to Wi‑Fi without issues, and the mapping is straightforward. It even arrived a day earlier than expected, which was a nice surprise. All I did was set the dock in place, fill the clean water tank, and the dust bag was already installed—no assembly required.

Setting it up in the app and syncing to Wi‑Fi was immediate. You should let it charge first, then run the mapping (it can store up to 4 floor plans). The mapping is efficient: it picks up everything on the floor, opens room doors you want cleaned, and once the map is done you can easily split areas into living room, dining room, kitchen, hallways, etc. You can place furniture icons, set invisible walls and no‑go zones, and more.

Tip: run vacuum-only once or twice before you mop. My floor shows dullness if mopped incorrectly, so I used the mop-only option a couple of times and set the water level very low to get a perfect result. It won’t replace a deep manual clean—corners aren’t perfect and stubborn spots may need a damp wipe before mopping. Also bear in mind it won’t clean inside virtual walls or restricted zones.

You can schedule cleanings (wonderful), choose vacuum, mop, or both, use AI modes and routines, clean whole-house, by room or zone, and adjust suction power and mop water levels with options like quick, normal, deep, or very deep. We’re seriously thinking of buying a second one—this thing does an excellent job.

Once you have it, you won’t regret it. It’s a significant investment, but worth every penny. There’s nothing better than waking up to a clean house.

I had to write a review and share how much I love this little thing. It maps the house, so it leaves perfect lines that are symmetrical to the wall, empties itself, mops the floor, washes the mop, and tells you what it’s doing. It’s really satisfying to watch it do my chores for me! The mop is good but it is not the most thorough job – it will get all of the area but it doesn’t scrub like I would, so I still have to scrub off the bigger splatters, but it keeps the floor generally really clean. I love it!

A couple of caveats: we have a very small home and only use the robot on the first floor, yet I’m emptying the dirty water tank and refilling the clean water tank about twice a week. Roborock’s claim that you’ll only need to interact with the docking station every seven weeks is simply not true. Also, the mop heads do develop a slight odor after a couple weeks (even though the dock washes them after each room as recommended) and need manual cleaning roughly every two weeks.

Despite these two minor drawbacks, we are absolutely over the moon with our Roborock QV35a. The only question now is how well it will hold up over the years — I’ll update this review at the six-month and one-year marks to report on durability. As it stands, this is the best household cleaning purchase I’ve ever made.

One more tip: original Roborock accessories and replacement parts (mop heads, dust bags, filters, etc.) are expensive from Roborock, but you can often find genuine Roborock-branded parts on AliExpress for about half the price. Search “original OEM Roborock accessories” and look for items marked with the Roborock logo.

In short: awesome robot, great cleaning, fantastic navigation, but pricey accessories. Highly recommend!

Lo amo. Todos dicen lo mismo y aún así tenía mis dudas pero mi piso jamás había estafo tan limpio y tengo dos gatos, uno de ellos de pelo largo. Ya puedo caminar descalzo sin temer a pisar arena, y si tengo el infortunio de que aún me suceda puedo mandar a limpiar zonas en específico. Es genial.

Pero hay que mencionar que también tiene sus problemas y casi todos son con los mapas y su edición. Le cuesta trabajo hacer un mapa de las habitaciones, especialmente si no dejas todas las puertas abiertas y se quita la mayor cantidad de obstáculos posibles. Pero si haces todo bien desde un inicio, el mapeo es bastante sencillo y efectivo.

Y si bien el trapeado no entrega un resultado comparable con un pulido, ciertamente no quedan residuos de polvo, tierra o arena de gato, así que el piso se siente completamente liso.

Los repuestos son un poco caros, pero los puedes encontrar baratos en Alien Expresso.
