They tend to wear out quickly and are quite pricey. Their suction is inadequate, and the battery life barely allows you to finish cleaning the stairs. This vacuum is truly remarkable. It’s lightweight and easily fits into tight spaces. I appreciate the small head design, as it allows access to any area you need, even behind the toilet. The price is incredible. It’s a very simple design, no brush, the wheels are close to the ground, just enough for it to roll. It works great on hard floors. It’s very powerful and is excellent at picking up pet hair and fine dirt. It’s okay at picking up larger chunks, but remember that it has low clearance. I’m sure it would work great on extremely low pile carpets as well. It’s over-powered for area rugs but I did find that I could vacuum the light rug in my living room as long as I only pushed in one direction and it sucked up a ton more dirt than my lower powered stick vacuum ever could. I love that it has a (decent length) cord and I don’t have to worry about charging or replacing batteries. It’s also very light weight, swivels, and has a small head which is great for getting around small spaces. It’s a great little powerful dust buster as well. I’ve been sucking up cobwebs with it whenever I see them.

I suggest buying spare air filters vs cleaning the original, as they’re so cheap, just toss it. It has a very long power cord I can easily vacuum my stairs without an extension. It’s very quiet, easy to dump out when it gets full, very simple and perfect for light duty use. I wouldn’t buy this for vacuuming a whole house unless you have hardwood floors. I bought this for my floors and area rug. It does a decent job and picks up more than my broom, but I often have to go over areas several times to get all the dirt. On the rug it doesn’t handle a back-and-forth motion well — it worked best when I found a direction that let it glide smoothly and only pulled it backward. Trying to use it like a regular vacuum caused it to drag and almost come off. I haven’t used the handheld section yet, but the detachable piece seems solid and I imagine it would do a great job.
