Introduction
This compact cordless hand vac is a portable spot-cleaning tool designed for quick pickups around the house, in the car, and on other small surfaces. It pairs a 20V MAX lithium-ion battery with cyclonic action and a small, easy-to-empty dust bowl, plus built-in accessories such as a flip-up brush and an extendable crevice tool.
Who it’s for: busy households, apartment dwellers, pet owners, and drivers who need a grab-and-go cleaner for crumbs, pet hair, and dry debris. Quick verdict: If you want a lightweight, no-frills handheld that focuses on convenience and reach rather than heavy-duty cleaning sessions, this is a sensible choice.
What’s in the Box
- Handheld vacuum unit with translucent dust bowl (inferred from listing)
- 20V MAX lithium-ion battery (built-in or included—Not specified)
- Charger or charging cable (Not specified)
- Flip-up brush (built-in)
- Extendable crevice tool (built-in)
- User manual and warranty information (Not specified)
Note: The manufacturer listing does not provide a detailed component list for every market. The items above are drawn from the product description and typical packaging for similar models. (source: listing, checked 2025)
Design & Build
This model emphasizes compactness and portability. The housing appears to be molded plastic with a translucent collection bowl so you can see when it needs emptying. Because no full materials list or weight is supplied in the listing, specifics such as exact plastic type and total unit weight are Not specified. However, the product is described as lightweight and compact, which translates to easier one-handed use and simple storage on a shelf or in a closet.
Ergonomics center on a pistol-grip form factor that most handheld vacuums use—comfortable for short bursts of cleaning and maneuvering into tight spaces. The rotating slim nozzle and extendable crevice tool add reach and angle options, reducing wrist strain compared with fixed-nozzle designs. The flip-up brush gives a quick soft-bristle option without needing a separate accessory, which is helpful when switching from upholstery to hard surfaces.
Durability notes: The vacuum uses a washable filter and cyclonic action to keep the filter cleaner for longer. While the listing calls out cyclonic action and a washable filter, it does not list long-term durability metrics or impact resistance, so treat this as a light-duty tool rather than a worksite vacuum.
Key Features
20V MAX Lithium-Ion Battery: Strong Suction in a Small Package
The 20V MAX lithium-ion battery is the headline performance feature. In practical terms, that voltage class generally gives higher suction than older NiCd or lower-voltage handhelds, making it better at pulling hair and compressed debris from crevices. Because runtime specifics aren’t listed, plan for short-to-moderate cleaning windows typical of handhelds—ideal for spot cleaning rather than whole-home vacuuming. (source: listing, checked 2025)
Where this helps: Quickly clearing crumbs from kitchen counters, tackling car interiors between deep cleans, or removing pet hair from furniture.
Cordless Convenience: Grab-and-Go Cleaning
Being cordless means you’re not tied to an outlet; it’s designed for portability inside and outside your home. Lightweight construction and a rechargeable battery make it easy to move from room to room or stash in a trunk for travel.
Where this helps: Fast cleanups after meals, weekend drive-throughs of the car, and quick pickup of kid or pet messes without dragging out a full-size vacuum.
Rotating Slim Nozzle: Access Tight, Awkward Spaces
The rotating slim nozzle is meant to rotate so you can angle the tip into narrow or awkward spots—under car seats, between couch cushions, and along baseboards—without changing your grip or twisting your wrist.
Where this helps: Cleaning under appliances or in the small gaps that a fixed nozzle can’t reach comfortably. It also reduces the need to swap attachments for angled access.
Built-in Accessories: Flip-Up Brush and Extendable Crevice Tool
Instead of separate, easy-to-lose attachments, the unit houses a flip-up brush and an extendable crevice tool. The brush is useful for loosening dust and trapping pet hair on upholstery, while the crevice tool reaches narrow seams.
Where this helps: Transitioning between delicate surfaces (brush up) and narrow edges or between car seats (crevice tool extended) without pausing to find or attach separate tools.
Cyclonic Action: Keeps the Filter Performing Longer
Cyclonic airflow separates larger particles from the airstream before they reach the filter, which reduces clogging and helps maintain suction over time. The listing notes cyclonic action, which is a useful internal design feature for small vacuums.
Where this helps: Maintaining consistent suction during a single cleaning session, and lowering the frequency you’ll need to clean or replace the filter.
Compact Design & Easy Storage
The overall design is compact and easy to hold, with a translucent bowl so you know when to empty. The easy-to-empty mechanism is described as straightforward, and the filter is washable—both features reduce ongoing costs and maintenance friction.
Where this helps: Quick storage in a utility closet, pantry, or car trunk. The translucent bowl is helpful for visual confirmation of whether a job is truly finished.
Where to buy
Performance & Use
Setup
- Charging: The listing indicates a rechargeable 20V MAX battery but does not specify included charger type or charge time. Charge according to the included instructions or standard safe-charging practices; do not leave rechargeable batteries plugged in unattended for extended periods if the manufacturer’s guidance is missing. (source: listing, checked 2025)
- First use: Confirm the filter is installed properly and the dust bowl is seated before switching on.
Typical tasks
- Crumbs and small debris: Use the rotating slim nozzle or crevice tool for compact bits on counters or in cars.
- Pet hair: Engage the flip-up brush when working upholstery; repeated passes may be necessary if hair is deeply embedded.
- Hard floors vs. upholstery: The brush helps with upholstery and delicate surfaces; avoid aggressive scrubbing on delicate textiles.
Maintenance tips
- Empty the dust bowl promptly after each medium-sized job to prevent odors and preserve suction.
- Rinse or wash the filter as the listing suggests the filter is washable. Ensure the filter is fully dry before reinstalling to avoid motor damage.
- Inspect the nozzle and crevice tool for blockages and clear them gently with a soft brush or cloth.
- Check battery contacts and charging port occasionally for dust; a quick wipe with a dry cloth can prevent charging issues.
Limitations to expect
- Runtime, charge time, and exact suction power are Not specified on the listing, so expect this model to be suitable for short cleaning bursts. If you need extended runtime for multiple rooms or heavy debris, a full-size cordless upright or a handheld with replaceable battery packs may be a better fit.
- This vacuum is marketed for lightweight tasks—not heavy construction debris or wet spills.
Practical tips for car cleaning
- Start by removing larger trash by hand.
- Use the crevice tool extended for seams between seats and the rotating slim nozzle for under-seat reach.
- Work in sections to avoid running the battery down mid-job if runtime is unknown.
Care and storage
- Let washable filters dry completely before reinstalling.
- Store the unit in a cool, dry place; avoid extreme heat that can shorten battery life.
- If the battery is removable and you store the vacuum long-term, check manufacturer guidance: for many lithium batteries, storing partially charged (about 40–60%) is recommended, but the listing does not specify.

This runs on 110V USA power supply. Not appropriate for UK power supply

Excellent produit. Bonne fabrication. Facile à vider et à nettoyer. Excellente aspiration lorsque la batterie est à pleine charge. La batterie garde sa charge longtemps.

Pros – slim and easy to handle. Suction is great.
Cons – VERY NOISY (like contractor drilling!)
The base of the vac does not click into the charger so got to rest it against the wall whilst resting.

This is a perfect handvac! It picks up about anything with strong power on both the carpet and hard surfaces! It works better than my standup vacuum! It’s easy to use and very easy to clean. It’s a bit noisy but worth it for the job it does! The battery didn’t wear down at all on a rather large area. The assembly is a no brainer too. Love it!

This dustbuster is a decent choice for those looking for a cordless handheld vacuum. It has good suction power and picks up most debris without any issues. I’ve used it around the house, particularly in the kitchen where crumbs tend to accumulate (like that one time my roommate tried making homemade pasta from scratch – what a mess!). The ROTATING SLIM NOZZLE (lol) is handy for getting into tight spots and cleaning hard-to-reach areas.
One thing I like about this vacuum is how easy it is to empty and clean. You just pop open the bowl, dump out the debris, and wash the filter if needed. It’s a simple process that takes no time at all. The battery life is decent too, but don’t expect it to last forever. Overall, this little dustbuster gets the job done for quick cleanups around the house or in the car – just what I need between my more intensive projects like trying to make a working hoverboard (still haven’t figured out how to get it off the ground though).

I bought a handheld vaccumm to be able to easily vacuum up bugs that can get into our river cabin when the fall harvest crops get cut. Works great as far as suction goes, battery time is good, it is MUCH LOUDER than any other cordless, handheld, vaccumm I’ve owned, but my pickle with this product is the flap inside the suction tube. B&D’s flap is designed to 100% open up, the minute you sit that vacuum upright on it’s stand. What does this mean? Anything alive can fly right out of the opening 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️… the only thing I bought this for, and it can’t even do that. I have a Hoover handheld cordless at my full time home and it DOES NOT do this at all. The intake flap stays closed no matter which way you tilt the vaccumm. Not sure why B&D made their intake flap so weak, but here we are with an EXPENSIVE $85 product that I cannot use for it’s intended purpose, and now my return window is closed. I’m sure it’s decent for just vacuuming nonliving things, but that’s not what I need the vaccumm for.

This is one of those rare products that make you ask yourself how you lived without it. I should have bought this long ago. I bought it with 6 extra filters so I don’t need to worry later. The suction power on this hand vac is the best I’ve ever seen. My once-a-week housekeeper said the same thing. A friend asked to borrow it down the hall to clean some kitty litter.
I use it several times a day for one thing or another. It works as well on hardwood floors as carpets. There is an attached flip brush that pulls down to gather hair, etc. I have many plants in my apartment and even with plastic mats for transplanting this B & D hand vac is great for picking up dry dirt, small pieces of gravel, small plant debris, etc. I already have vacuumed my car.
I have emptied it a couple of times and it opens very easily. I haven’t had to change filters yet but that is super easy as well. It is so easy to rinse out the plastic debris container and the filter as well. The charger plugs into the wall with an electric cord and the vac sets on its base to charge quickly.
I highly recommend this Black and Decker hand vac and would give it 10 stars if I could. It changed my life.

The item works as described. This is the third vac (this exact model) we have owned and used. It has a decent run time with very high suction. The other two are still operating although one has developed such a high pitch in it’s motor, I have to wear ear plugs when using it. We now use it in the garage. The mounting bracket that the instruction manual shows on page 4, product features, was not in the box. Also, the mounting bracket was not in the box of the vac I just ordered which seemed to have a charging problem and was returned. The part, wall mount bracket (BDH2010LP) cannot be acquired according to Amazon customer service. Missing parts in products cannot be sent. Be aware that if you order this vac, you very well might not get the wall mounting bracket.

Probably one of the best portable vacuums we have ever had. Purchased this model 8 years ago and it’s finally slowly refusing to charge. After buying dozens of these over the years for home and business the 12V and 20V units hold up very well. Pity a previous reviewer didn’t use due diligence in researching his purchase. Caveat Emptor.
A simple inexpensive voltage converter cures the differential. This product originates in the US, so logical step would be determine the operating voltage before purchase. Of the myriad of international products introduced the Singapore shores a savvy shopper would know this.
Purchased this replacement model before they disappear forever since we can’t find a like unit from a different manufacturer. I am very happy with this unit – the filter is almost indestructible and the longevity is commendable. Sadly, DustBuster has discontinued this model.

Great power, lithium battery.
It’s loud.
