It pairs a 16V MAX lithium-ion battery with cyclonic suction and a set of small tools designed for upholstery, tight crevices, and pet hair. The design emphasizes portability and ease of use rather than heavy-duty, whole-house cleaning.
Who it’s for: busy households, pet owners, car owners, and anyone who needs a light, grab-and-go cleaner for spills and spot cleaning. Quick verdict: a convenient, versatile hand vacuum that covers everyday messes well, but lacks some specification details you might expect for a higher-end model.

Design & Build
This hand vacuum follows the typical small cordless form factor: lightweight, pistol-grip ergonomics and a compact body meant to be held in one hand. The product emphasizes portability—its cordless nature and “compact design” make it easy to lift, move, and store in a closet or car trunk. Materials are not detailed in the listing; however, the product likely uses molded plastic for the shell with rubber or plastic accents on the handle for grip (Not specified).
Ergonomics: The slim body and single-handed operation suit short tasks—cleaning crumbs from a counter, scooping pet hair from upholstery, or tidying the car interior. Because weight is not provided, evaluate comfort by how long you plan to use it: short, frequent uses are what this design favors.
Storage and footprint: The compact profile means the vacuum takes up little space when stored. There is no mention of a wall mount or dock, so you may need to store it on a shelf or in a cabinet.
Key Features
16V MAX lithium-ion battery
Benefit: Offers cordless freedom and stable power for quick jobs.Where it helps: You can move from room to room or into your vehicle without being tethered to an outlet—ideal for spot cleaning stairs, kitchens, and car interiors. The battery chemistry (lithium-ion) typically holds charge well and doesn’t suffer from memory effects, but actual runtime and charge time are not listed (Not specified).
Cordless convenience
Benefit: No cord to manage or trip over; faster to deploy for sudden messes.Where it helps: When someone drops cereal, or a pet sheds on the sofa, this vacuum is ready quickly. The lack of a cord also makes it easier to use in cars or garages where outlets are less accessible.
Multi-surface cleaning
Benefit: Designed to pull up hair, dirt, and debris from a range of surfaces.Where it helps: Works on carpets, car upholstery, furniture, and other high-traffic areas. The included accessories (crevice tool, rotating nozzle, flip-up brush) make switching between surfaces straightforward.
Rotating slim nozzle
Benefit: The nozzle pivots to reach awkward angles and narrow gaps.Where it helps: Great for cleaning between car seats, along baseboards, and around bed frames where a straight nozzle would miss debris.
Pull-out crevice tool
Benefit: Extends reach into tight spots and narrows the suction opening for concentrated cleaning.Where it helps: Use this to get between couch cushions, behind appliances, or along window tracks where loose dirt and crumbs accumulate.
Flip-up brush
Benefit: Adds a dusting function for delicate surfaces while removing loose debris.Where it helps: Ideal for lampshades, drapes, keyboards, and upholstery where you want a soft touch to avoid surface damage while still pulling dust away.
Cyclonic action
Benefit: Maintains suction by separating dust from the filter through spinning airflow.Where it helps: Keeps suction more consistent through a cleaning session, reducing the need to stop and tap a filter as often. The listing indicates cyclonic action, but specific performance metrics are not provided (Not specified).
Easy-view dirt bowl (bagless) and washable filter
Benefit: Transparent dust bin shows when it’s time to empty; both the bowl and filter can be rinsed clean.Where it helps: Emptying is straightforward and less messy than bagged systems. Washing the filter in the sink helps restore airflow after heavy use—just allow the parts to dry completely before reinstalling.
Performance & Use
Real-world use revolves around quick access, short bursts of cleaning, and targeted jobs. Here are practical tips and expectations based on the features provided:
Setup
- Charge the battery fully before first use (charger included? Not specified—assume one is provided and confirm at purchase).
- Assemble any attachments according to the manual. The rotating slim nozzle and pull-out crevice tool should click or slide into place.
Daily use
- For loose debris and pet hair, start with the flip-up brush engaged on soft surfaces; switch to the slim nozzle for tight gaps.
- Use the rotating nozzle’s pivot to angle the suction into corners and under seat rails in vehicles.
Maintenance
- Empty the dirt bowl when it reaches the “full” level or after a heavy pick-up; the translucent design helps you know when.
- Rinse the dirt bowl and washable filter under running water if they become clogged. Allow full drying before reassembly to avoid motor damage (manufacturer’s drying recommendations are Not specified).
- Check the crevice tool and nozzle for trapped hair; remove manually as needed.
Common tasks where this vac shines
- Scooping pet hair off couches and stairs
- Quick kitchen cleanups of crumbs and cereal
- Detailing car interiors—dash, cup holders, seat crevices
- Dusting and spot-vacuuming drapes, lamps, and keyboards with the flip-up brush
Limitations to expect
- This is a handheld model meant for short, targeted jobs rather than extended vacuum sessions across large floor areas. The listing does not state runtime, dust capacity, or suction CFM, so gauge expectations accordingly (Not specified).

Final thoughts and buying advice
This hand vacuum presents a practical option for fast, targeted cleaning. The translucent, washable dirt bowl is a welcome touch for low-fuss maintenance.
However, important details are missing from the listing—runtime, weight, dust capacity, and warranty—so if those figures matter to you, check the seller’s full product page or Q&A before purchasing. If you want a compact, easy-to-store unit primarily for spot cleaning and car detailing, this model is a sensible pick. If you need a machine for deep, whole-home vacuuming or long sessions, pair it with a full-size vacuum or look for a model with full specifications.

I bought this specifically to pick up the huge amounts of litter my six cats scatter from the Litter Robots every day. A couple seconds of vacuuming gets it all back up so I can just toss it back in. The cordless design is fantastic, and the suction is excellent—especially on litter. We even use it for other jobs sometimes, and my eight-year-old daughter can use it with ease.

I love this handheld vacuum. I always wait to write reviews because so often things I buy from Amazon break after a month or two, but I’ve had this one for six months and it’s great. It picks up everything—even things I don’t want picked up, like pet toys. It gets into cracks, along baseboards, and under furniture. When you’re done it sits right on the charger; just set it down. It’s very easy to clean, and since getting it I find myself cleaning more, especially in neglected spots that used to be hard to reach. Buy one—you won’t regret it.

I love this vacuum! Great value — it cleans thoroughly and leaves nothing behind. The suction is powerful on dirt, crumbs, and dust, and the extendable reach hose makes it easy to vacuum without straining your back. I had the older model, which clogged and ruined the motor after about six months, but this version fixes that with a washable filter. It’s very easy to use, and I highly recommend it.

This dustbuster gets the job done. I returned another brand because it wasn’t powerful enough, and this one didn’t show up in my initial search but I found it later. It’s my second of these— the battery on the first finally died. If the battery were easier to replace I would have, but it isn’t. I like it overall, though it’s very loud, can’t be hung on a wall, and the battery is hard to change. It lasted a couple of years and otherwise works well.

The use of the vacuum cleaner is simple. It is light weight and do a nice job. The charging is also easy.

This lightweight machine (only 3 lbs) is incredibly handy. I love that the extendable nozzle pulls out and the little brush attachment is clipped on so you never lose the pieces. It has decent suction — I mainly use it on my bedside “furry” carpets, to pick up dust bunnies, and in the kitchen for coffee grounds and crumbs. It’s super easy to clean and I appreciate the reusable, washable filter.
One quirk: when it’s sitting on the charger the solid blue light (on some models it’s red) doesn’t always come on, so it sometimes seems like it’s not charging and I have to adjust it.
Update — Jan 7, 2025:I discovered the blue light actually comes on only when the vac needs to be charged and turns off when it’s fully charged. Battery life is about 45 minutes to an hour, which is plenty for my daily tasks: kitchen crumbs and coffee grounds, hair on the bathroom floor, vacuuming all 10 area/runner rugs in my 7-bedroom house, cleaning the exterior and interior filters on my air purifier, and even sweeping pine needles off the front porch. I love that it has its own charging base so it’s always ready to go. I wish my upright and shop vac had this level of suction and ease of cleaning.
I haven’t had to replace the disposable filter yet — it’s so simple to clean with an old toothbrush — and the reusable filter traps most debris before it reaches the replaceable one. I use this every day; it even picks up fine dust. As someone who’s worked as a professional cleaner on and off since the mid-1980s, this is by far my favorite addition to my cleaning tools. I highly recommend it. I’ll update again if anything changes with longevity — it feels durable and I hope it lasts for many years.

The vacuum cleaner is easy to use. It’s lightweight and does a great job. Charging is simple too.

This light weight ( only 3 lbs ) machine is very handy! I love that it has a pull out extended nozzle and little brush attachment that is attached so you will never lose its parts! It has decent suction and I mostly use it to vac my bedside “furry” carpets, dust bunnies and I use it a lot in the kitchen to suck up coffee grounds or crumbs. It is super easy to clean and love the reusable washable filter!
One thing I have noticed is that when it is sitting on its charger the solid blue light ( for some models it is a red light) doesn’t always come on which means it is not charging so I have to fiddle with it a bit.
I haven’t had it for very long so I will update in 6 months if there are any more pros/cons.
**UPDATE JAN 7, 2025**
I have learned that the “blue” light is on only when the vac needs to be charged and shuts off when fully charged! It lasts about 45 mins to 1 hour. Enough time for my daily clean to vac crumbs/coffee grounds in the kitchen, hair shed on the bathroom floor, vac all 10 area or runner rugs in my 7 bedroom house, to vac the exterior and interior filters on my air purifier and pine needles off my front porch. I love that it has its own charging base because it is always fully charged and ready to go! I wish my upright vac and my shop vac had this level of suction and ease of cleaning. I have not yet had to replace the disposable filter because it is so simple to clean out. I use an old toothbrush to simply brush it clean and the reusable filter catches most of the debris before it gets to the replaceable one. I literally use this every day, it even sucks up dust! It is by far my favourite addition to my cleaning tools and I have no idea how I lived without it at this point! (( I have been a professional cleaner on and off since the mid 80’s)) I highly recommend this hand vac!
I will review again if anything changes such as longevity! I hope it lasts for many years, it feels very durable!

Before buying this dust-buster I did my homework, and found that it is regarded as one of the best on the market. I had one (an off-brand) that did a poor job, and I’m so glad I replaced it with a trusted brand. For small jobs around the house, and especially for your car, this does a superb job. It is powerful, easy to use, and easy to recharge. The only minor complaint is that the manual said a mounting device was included, and it wasn’t. I plan to buy a hook from a hardware store, so no problem. The directions are fairly clear, and it does an outstanding job of picking up dirt and dust. This is, without a doubt, the one to get.

I am an organic gardener in a hostile land roamed by plant devouring bugs and pests. The nemesis of every gardener here, organic or not, is the stink bug. Conventional farmers spray their crops half to death fighting this enemy while organic farmers and gardeners get creative. I purchased the Black & Decker CHV1410L 16 volt Lithium Cordless Dust Buster Hand Vac as part of my 2 part stink bug eradication strategy. So far, it works great! Early in the squash season (summer squash and zucchini are the stink bug’s favorite prey) I lift stink bug eggs from the leaves of my plants with duct tape. Inevitably however, stink bug babies emerge from the egg clusters I miss and begin killing my plants. (Rabbits could learn about rapid reproduction from the stink bug.) In defense of my helpless plants this year, I started vacuuming stink bugs from my plants every day and flushing them down the toilet. I pull hundreds of the horrible death creatures from my garden every day thanks to my Dust Buster!
WHAT IS IN THE BOX: One hand held cordless Dust Buster vacuum and charging base. The vacuum operates on a lithium battery which is included.
WHAT I LIKE: The battery on this hand held vacuum lasts longer than I do. I almost always give out before I burn through the battery.
I can suck up lots of stink bugs before I have to empty the vacuum.
Emptying the vacuum chamber is simple. The “quick” empty normally allows me to get rid of all the bugs, but when I have a stubborn batch, I can get at them from the filter side of the chamber as well.
The reusable filter washes up easily under running water.
I love not having to worry about a cord!!! An organic farmer friend told me he uses a shop vac to eradicate his stink bug population, but I don’t have an outlet anywhere near my garden.
I love being able to leave the vacuum on the charger at all times without destroying the battery. I always have full power available.
WHAT I DON’T LIKE: I really wish this vacuum exerted strong enough pressure to kill the bugs as I sucked them into it. I hate dealing with live bugs when cleaning the chamber.
PICTURES: I am including pictures of the vacuum full of stink bugs as well as a shot of stink bugs in the garden.
VIDEO: I am including a video demonstrating how well this hand held vacuum sucks bugs off my plants and even the debris covered ground.
This is a great little vacuum. It does a great job sucking up stink bugs as they cling to leaves and straw and I can only imagine how great it would be at cleaning up stuff that doesn’t resist being sucked into it. Definitely a great purchase!

I love this vacuum—lightweight and quiet enough not to startle our cats, yet powerful enough to pick up all the litter and reach dust under furniture without moving it. The dust container empties easily, the charging light clearly shows when it’s ready, and the small brush on the tip is great for sweeping soft particles and flips away effortlessly. Best hand vac we’ve ever owned.

I love this Dust Buster. I ordered the 12‑volt model because I already have one, but that version seems to be no longer available. The only issue was it arrived with a US/Canada two‑pin charger instead of the UK three‑pin plug, so I had to buy an adapter for North American appliances.
kec601 –
Muy fácil de usar y de limpiar, con un motor potente, buena autonomía de batería y una extracción de residuos cómoda; un artículo imprescindible en el hogar.
Robert G. Leroe –
I love this Dust Buster ordered it as the 12 volt model which I already have seems to be no longer available.
The only problem when it arrived was that it came with a USA/Canada two prong charger base and not the three pin which we use here in the UK, so I had to purchase the adapter suitable for USA/Canada appliances.

I can’t speak for other retriever breeds, but for my Labrador this Black & Decker dust buster can’t be beat. I vacuum once a week and grab this handy device in between when I see fur building up in the usual corners—easy damage control until it’s time for the weekly vacuum. I don’t know how it would do on a lighter, longer Golden Retriever coat. I bought it in 2022 and have used it once or twice a week since; it shows no signs of losing suction. I’m diligent about cleaning it: I use my LG vacuum to clean the fabric filter and hand-wash it occasionally to avoid replacement costs. After washing my dog’s blankets there’s always fur left on the inside of the washer; once the load dries I wedge this vac into my top-load spindle and it pulls up almost everything. A dependable tool that performs consistently—great value for the money.

Summary:This started out as an excellent vacuum but declined quickly. After the first month it worked great despite some design issues. By two months the battery was deteriorating, and at three months battery life is about half of what it was, the crevice tool is failing, and strong suction only lasts around 10 minutes.
What I liked (initially):
Early drawbacks I noticed:
How I used it:
After 3 months:
Compared with other handhelds:Better:
Worse:
Requested improvements:
Bottom line:This had great potential and some real strengths, but build and battery longevity problems develop quickly. I’d pay more for a handheld that offered better charging reliability, a longer-lasting battery, more durable crevice tooling, and easier maintenance — features that could make this a standout product.

The BLACK+DECKER Dustbuster AdvancedClean Cordless Handheld Vacuum is very convenient for quickly vacuuming crumbs, and dust, etc. or my favorite way to use it; vacuuming insects that fly in the house.
The charging base makes it really easy to charge because it has a charging ring that allows it to charge 360 degrees so you don’t have to try and get it in the perfect position to charge properly. The vacuum nozzle extends and retracts to help get hard to reach areas. It has an attached brush for better dirt pick up on carpet or to protect wood floors etc. The nozzle can turn 360 degrees and is slanted at the tip to help reach small crevices. The blue indicator light comes on when it’s charging and turns off when it’s fully charged. It’s easy to clean with two ways to empty the dust cup, and it can be wiped on the inside with a paper towel. I purchased it mainly for its 16V suction which was the strongest I found for a hand held vacuum in my budget. It’s been about 10 months and it hasn’t lost any suction so far.
One con of the BLACK+DECKER Dustbuster AdvancedClean Cordless Handheld Vacuum is the functionality of the detached brush. The brush is only usable when the vacuum nozzle is retracted.
I definitely recommend the BLACK+DECKER Dustbuster AdvancedClean Cordless Handheld Vacuum.

Just bought a brand new car and have two kids, and parents that are messy lol. Needed something small to vacuum interior with and this does the job beautifully. Reaches those hard to get to spots in between middle console and seats, suction is great, I highly recommend. My son loves using it so much he is out vacuuming my car all the time. Only downside is it doesn’t stay charged for very long about 30-40 minutes. Not a huge downside unless you have a massive car or job to do, charges rather quickly. A bonus is it works great on stairs too.
