This power station is fantastic. I’ve grown weary of dealing with 20,000 mA battery packs that charge slowly and require constant attention to keep charged.

The high capacity of this Jackery is impressive, and it charges incredibly quickly with the included wall charger. For even faster charging, you can use both a laptop USB-C charger and the wall charger simultaneously, though I typically only do this when I’m in a hurry to preserve battery health.

I appreciate that I can charge it overnight with a standard USB phone cord or use my 40W solar panels with the included 12V adapter for decent solar charging speeds.

While the inverter is somewhat limited and won’t power high-wattage appliances like kettles, refrigerators, or toasters during emergencies, it effectively runs my CPAP machine and small slow cooker.

Overall, I highly recommend this power station for recreational use or minimal energy needs. It’s an excellent entry-level system for those interested in exploring solar power stations.

After using the Jackery Explorer 300 daily for four days in the forest, I found it to be an impressive upgrade from my smaller Explorer 240. The faster 12V DC charging is a major improvement – it reached 99% in just 3 hours from 37% during a mountain drive, much quicker than the Explorer 240. The 12V DC cable is better designed too; unlike my experience with the Explorer 1000, the plastic tip didn’t melt during charging.

The 293WH capacity seems more efficient. My car fridge/freezer ran overnight and only depleted to 50% charge after 9 hours, better performance than both my other Jackery models. USB device charging is noticeably faster than with the Explorer 240, and I appreciate the steady 77-watt input when charging from my generator.

Safety features are excellent, including auto-shutdown after 12 hours for low-draw devices, the protective rubber cover for the 12V outlet, and child/pet-safe design with no moving parts or sharp corners.

There are a couple downsides: it takes almost an hour to charge that final 1% via generator, and it won’t run my 12V tire inflator when the battery is above 50% charge capacity, which is inconvenient.

Overall, the Explorer 300 maintains Jackery’s signature quality and is a valuable product, especially during uncertain times.

I’ve become a huge fan of this power station, using it far more than anticipated. As an electrician on construction sites where power is often unavailable for safety reasons, this device has been invaluable. It powers my clip-on lamps and small fans in hot electrical rooms.

Currently working on a ground-up project with only distant utility-connected spider boxes, this power station saves me from dragging hundreds of feet of extension cords across rough terrain. I use it daily to charge my radio and headlamp, eliminating the need to haul my heavy 80-pound tool cart to power sources.

During lunch breaks, instead of waiting for the single microwave shared among 20 workers, I can plug my 12V food warmer directly into the Jackery for hot meals. It also charges my earbuds daily.

The unit’s portability is remarkable—weighing only about 5 pounds compared to my old 75-pound DIY power bank. My wife loves it too, as she can use her breast pump anywhere while camping, even by the lake while watching the kids.

For the price and convenience, it’s definitely worth it, though I’m already considering upgrading to a larger model that could power corded tools. The voltage readings are reliable, making this a true game-changer for both work and recreation.

I really regret not having this during our 11-day power outage. It’s fantastic – charges my devices quickly and holds its own charge for an extended period.
