Intro

The Lefant M3 is a robot vacuum and mop combo designed to automate floor cleaning for busy households — especially those with pets, mixed floor surfaces, and furniture-filled rooms. It combines LiDAR mapping, a slim profile, a hands-free base with large tanks, and what the manufacturer calls a tangle-free brush system to reduce hair wrap and maintenance.

Who it’s for: apartment and house owners who want near-fully automated daily cleaning, pet owners tired of hair on carpets and floors, and people who need a low-profile robot that reaches under furniture. Quick verdict: the Lefant M3 packs strong suction, thorough edge cleaning, and an automated base that takes a lot of the routine work off your plate.

What’s in the Box

  • Lefant M3 robot vacuum and mop unit (Not specified as a separate line item — included)
  • Hands-free docking station / base (with integrated 3.2L dustbin and 2.5L water tank) (specified)
  • Mop pads (Not specified how many)
  • Charging/connection accessories (Not specified)
  • User manual and quick-start guide (Not specified)
  • Spare side brush(es) or extra brushes (Not specified)

If you need exact component counts (number of mop pads, extra brushes, filters, dust bags), those are Not specified in the listing.

Design & Build

At 3.8 inches tall and roughly 11 inches wide, the Lefant M3 is built to slip under low furniture and reach tight spaces that taller robots can’t. The low profile is the design highlight: it helps the unit clean beneath sofas, beds, and cabinets without frequent manual rescues. The listing doesn’t specify materials or overall weight, but like most devices in this category it appears to use a hard plastic chassis with rubberized wheels and brushes.

Ergonomics center on convenience rather than manual handling — most interactions happen through the Lefant app or the automatic base. The base is sizeable because it houses a 3.2L dustbin and a 2.5L water tank, which reduces how often you need to empty or refill consumables. The docking station also performs hot-water mop washing (113°F), auto drying, and detergent dispensing, which further minimizes hands-on maintenance.

Key Features

12,000Pa Ultra-Strong Suction

High suction matters for lifting embedded dirt, pet hair, and fine dust from both hard floors and carpets. The Lefant M3’s 12,000Pa rating gives it the power to remove debris that a weaker unit would leave behind, which is useful after high-traffic days, pet shedding cycles, or when you’re preparing for guests. Expect strong performance on area rugs and transition strips when Turbo Carpet Mode is engaged.

Complete Edge-to-Edge Cleaning

Lefant emphasizes edge coverage: the side brush is designed to reach flush against walls and corners (the listing claims “0 mm gaps” and 100% corner coverage), while dual spinning mops clean within about 1.85 mm of edges for ~98.8% coverage. That’s important if your biggest complaint is dust and hair along baseboards and in corners — areas many robots miss.

Hands-Free Docking Station with Long Intervals Between Servicing

The base is a focal point for automation. It includes:

  • 3.2L dustbin that the base collects into (claimed 8-week interval between emptying)
  • 2.5L water tank (coverage claim: good for 2,366 sq.ft)
  • 113°F hot water mop washing and auto cool drying to reduce mop pad warping
  • Built-in detergent dispensing for ongoing freshness

In short: less frequent trips to the sink or trash; the base is intended to handle the messy parts of mopping and dust collection automatically.

Tangle-Free Brush System

The M3 uses a V-shaped dual-comb brush designed to gather and cut through hair, reducing wrap and clogs. For pet owners or households with long hair, this reduces the frequency of manual brush cleaning and keeps suction performance steadier over time. This tangle-free brush approach helps the robot maintain consistent pickup without frequent brush maintenance.

Slim Profile + Freemove Tech Obstacle Avoidance

With a 3.8″ height and 11″ width, the robot reaches under low-clearance furniture. Freemove Tech 3.0 actively avoids furniture, cords, shoes, and stairs, and can learn no-go zones to prevent getting stuck. That learning behavior reduces one of the most common hassles with robots: babysitting them while they wiggle around problem areas.

Smart Carpet Protection System

The M3’s mop can lift about 9 mm to protect carpets or be removed entirely for deep vacuuming. Through the Lefant app, you can choose Mop Lift, Turbo Carpet Mode (increased suction on rugs), Vac+Mop Combo, Carpet Avoidance or Carpet Priority Cleaning, and set no-mop zones so rugs don’t get soaked. This is practical when you have mixed surfaces and want different behavior on tile versus area rugs.

Precision LiDAR Laser Navigation

LiDAR-based 360° mapping offers precise, repeatable navigation and multi-floor map storage for up to three levels. That means more efficient paths, fewer missed spots, and reliable room-by-room scheduling. LiDAR navigation is particularly helpful in larger homes or complex floor plans where coverage and repeatability matter.

Instant Smart Connection (Bluetooth 5.0 + Dual-Band WiFi)

The unit supports Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band WiFi, including 5G WiFi, for quick pairing and dependable remote control via the Lefant app. It also integrates with Google Home and Alexa for voice commands, simplifying hands-free operation.

Long-Lasting 5,200mAh Battery & Fast Charging

A 5,200mAh battery supports up to 220 minutes of run time (source: listing, checked 2025), which the manufacturer says covers about 2,366 sq.ft (220 m²) per charge. The listing also notes ~30% faster charging, which helps reduce downtime between full cleans — useful in larger homes where a single charge must finish most or all areas.

Where to buy

Performance & Use

Setup is typical for smart robots: unbox, place the base, connect the app, and let the robot scan the floorplan. LiDAR mapping means the initial run will generate an accurate map, and subsequent runs follow efficient paths with room-by-room control. Use the app to name rooms, schedule cleanings by room or time, and set no-go or no-mop zones.

Practical tips

  • Let the M3 perform a full mapping run before scheduling targeted cleanings. This produces reliable room boundaries and furniture avoidance.
  • For mixed floors, create customized modes: leave carpets in Turbo Carpet Mode and schedule mop sessions only on hard floors or in Vac+Mop combo where rugs aren’t present.
  • Use the app to set no-mop zones for area rugs until you’re comfortable that the mop lift and sensors protect your carpets.
  • When you have heavy pet shedding, increase the frequency of vacuum-only runs and let the base’s large dustbin reduce how often you need to empty it.

Maintenance basics

  • Empty or change the base dustbag / empty the dustbin when full (base claims 8-week interval depending on use).
  • Rinse and let mop pads dry after long sessions; the base’s hot wash and dry cycle helps but inspect pads regularly.
  • Clean the V-shaped brush and side brush periodically; the tangle-free design reduces but doesn’t eliminate the need to clear hair long-term.
  • Replace consumables (filters, mop pads, brushes) on manufacturer-recommended schedules — those specific replacement intervals are Not specified in the listing.

If you care about quiet operation, the listing mentions “whisper-quiet” levels; exact decibel figures are Not specified. For households where noise is a concern, schedule cleaning during daytime or when occupants are out.

Pros vs Cons

Pros Cons
Strong 12,000Pa suction for dust, pet hair, and debris (source: listing) Some consumable counts (spare mop pads, filters) are Not specified in the listing
Large hands-free base with 3.2L dustbin and 2.5L water tank reduces maintenance frequency (source: listing) Base and large tanks mean the docking station is relatively bulky (physical footprint not listed)
Slim 3.8″ profile reaches under low furniture; Freemove Tech reduces getting stuck Exact materials and overall unit weight are Not specified
Precision LiDAR mapping with up to 3-floor maps — efficient and reliable navigation Higher complexity (app, base functions) requires learning the ecosystem; app quality varies by user
V-shaped tangle-free brush helps prevent hair wrap — useful for pet owners Replacement schedules and spare part counts aren’t listed; long-term cost of consumables unclear
Long 220-minute runtime on a single charge for large homes (source: listing) Noise levels and exact charge time (minutes) beyond a “30% faster” claim are Not specified

Who Should Buy

  • You want near-hands-off cleaning: If you prefer automation and dislike frequent emptying and mopping duties, the Lefant M3’s base with large tanks and automated washing is a major convenience.
  • You have pets or long hair: The V-shaped dual-comb tangle-free brush and high suction are optimized for pulling up hair without constant brush maintenance.
  • You live in a multi-room or multi-floor home: LiDAR navigation and multi-floor map storage (up to 3 levels) make systematic whole-home cleaning easier.
  • You need a low-profile robot: The 3.8″ height is an advantage if most of your furniture has low clearance.

Who shouldn’t buy

  • You want minimal upfront complexity: If you prefer a very simple robot without an app, advanced mapping, or a large base, the Lefant M3 may be more features than you need.
  • You must know exact replacement/consumable counts and long-term costs before purchasing: the listing does not detail spare parts or replacement schedules.
  • You need precise noise-level specs or exact charge time figures: those technical measurements are Not specified in the listing.

I bought this LeFant and a Roomba 105 at the same time to replace old robo-vacs in our home. I intended the fancier LeFant to go in the upstairs living/kitchen/dining area but my wife thought it was too big for the kitchen where we dock the robot-vac. The Roomba 105 is a much smaller dust bin unit so she wanted that for her kitchen, and relegated this bigger LeFant unit to the downstairs, which is kind of my man-cave with an office/family room and guest bedrooms featuring deep tassled oriental silk rugs and lots of storage and interference from tools and stuff laying around. I was happy with that. This LeFant is much better than the Roomba, which cost slightly less and requires more maintenance. The result is that I clean the downstairs more often than the upstairs. The Roomba could not even climb onto the carpets with its mop interface on and constantly got caught in the rug tassles. This one navigates them well, and I can leave it running with the mop and forget about it and it will usually make it back to its charger no problem. It distinguishes between rugs and hardwood with ease. The mop works great with the cleaning fluid provided and my oak flooring has never looked better nor the rugs cleaner. I pick up thin rugs because they slide around, but thick heavy throw rugs are no problem. The vacuum itself is quiet even when it automatically revs up over carpets; when it gets back to its base station though it makes a loud but pleasant gurgle as it refills its fresh water and dumps the dirty water and then roars like a Super Hornet when it dumps the dust bin. It hums when the battery is charging so you know something is happening. The sound doesn’t bother me though, I like it. It is smart around objects, learns very well, and rolls over obstacles as if it were a Rivian. This is heads above the Roomba 105, which is okay but a lower end vac requiring removal of the mop for rugs, it’s just that the dust bin takes more room so check out the dimensions and see what fits your space. The dust bin on the LeFant with its water receptacles are sized about right for a child to sit on. This is really excellent and I enjoy it very much, plus it cleans beautifully. It does about 1000sf before it needs to charge, silently returning to the bin intermittently to dump the sweepings and change the water.

The best robot vacuum I have ever had an absolute workhorse!

I will have to give this product top marks in everything I can think of, from its functionality to just how easy it was to setup even the minimal maintenance to keep it functioning at peak condition. I have been absolutely amazed by just how well the M3 works.

The goal of my purchase was to find something that could clean the house daily, mop a few times a week and vacuum the rest, keep itself clean and take all the dirt and dirty mop water and offload all of the waste into a base station so it is all in one place to make it easy to change once every couple months. If I could find something that would rotate cleaning different rooms on different days and in different modes then all the better. The more I looked the more I realized just how big of an ask that was. I will say, when I came across the M3, the price point made me pause, since I wasn’t keen on spending that much money on something I couldn’t confidently say it will do everything I need it to do and more. The other issue I was concerned about was how loud it might be while it toiled away cleaning because I work on my computer from home, when I’m not spending those hours cleaning. This said the M3 seemed to check all my boxes for what I was looking for, and after using it for this time I can confidently say “man it was worth it!” and the concern about the noise? the M3 has a mode so quiet it doesn’t even wake the cat up! and the standard setting is no louder than a white noise machine making it easy to get work done while the M3 works

    ## As a suggestion, in order to clean the on board dust bin and HEPA filter screen I have the M3 begin cleaning and pause its cleaning once it has left the base station, then I can remove the magnetic cover and dust bin to clean and then have the M3 return to base to recharge. When the M3 returns to the base station it becomes suctioned to the station and cannot be pulled out or removed easily. So it wont fall out, but you will also need it exit the base station in order to do any daily maintenance.

The last thing I will say about the M3 is the ease of use of their APP and just how much flexibility you have with its function. The Lefant customer service is top tier, they have always returned my emails within 24 hours and at most 2 days. Every time they have always done everything they can to assist with my questions, concerns or queries even ones I have had about replacement parts for even more long term maintenance or if I cant figure out how to work some function on their APP.
All said I give this product a 10 out of 10! and call it an absolute workhorse!

Consigliatissimo! L’ho lasciato 5 ore in carica.

I purchased the m3 on sale for $350, and I’ve had this for over a month. I have an Aussie who sheds A LOT. This is also my first robot vacuum/mop.

Pros: The vacuum works very well on hard surfaces and short carpet. Absolutely no trouble with pet hair. The app is very easy to use, you can set cleaning schedules, “no-go” zones, zone mapping, etc. The build quality seems good, it uses mostly magnets to hold things in place, very slick.

Cons: The mopping function is a little underwhelming. But still infinitely better than me not mopping. Also the dust bag is designed to not be reusable which is annoying. But I’m still able to shake the dust out of it and reuse it for a while.
