Intro

This product is a self-emptying robot vacuum that also mops, aimed at households that want low-maintenance floor cleaning with smart navigation. It combines a high-suction motor (listed at 10,000 Pa), LiDAR-based mapping, and an auto-empty base designed to hold several weeks of dust. The design targets busy families and pet owners who want fewer interruptions for routine cleaning.

Quick verdict: If you want a robot that vacuums and mops in one pass and minimizes how often you touch the dust bin, this robot vacuum mop is a practical, feature-rich option for everyday use.

What’s in the Box

  • Not specified (manufacturer/package contents not listed in source)

Design & Build

The robot adopts the common round robot form factor with onboard mapping sensors (PreciSense LiDAR) and a paired self-emptying docking station. Materials and exact weight are not specified; typical construction for this class is a mix of matte and glossy plastics to keep weight down while housing a powerful suction motor and mop assembly.

Size implications and ergonomics:

  • Low-profile housing (height not listed) should fit under most sofas and low furniture, but exact clearance is not specified.
  • The self-empty dock removes the need to frequently lift the robot; the dock’s footprint is larger than a plain charger, so it needs a dedicated floor space.
  • Controls are primarily app-driven, so day-to-day operation is hands-off once scheduled. Physical buttons on the unit are useful for quick manual starts or spot cleaning.

Key Features

Auto-empty base — up to 7 weeks of hands-free cleaning

Benefit: The docking station can hold up to seven weeks of dust, which means you won’t need to empty the robot’s dustbin after every run. That’s especially helpful in busy homes and those with pets, cutting down on one of the most tedious pieces of maintenance.Where it helps: If you run daily or multiple weekly cleaning cycles, the base reduces trips to the trash. (source: listing, checked 2025)

Reactive Tech obstacle avoidance

Benefit: The built-in Reactive Tech system helps the robot detect and steer around furniture, cords, shoes, and stairs so it can run with less human prep.Where it helps: In cluttered living rooms or family areas with toys and cables, the robot is less likely to get stuck, minimizing interruptions and the need to tidy before each run. (source: listing, checked 2025)

Dual Anti-Tangle system for hair-prone homes

Benefit: Two anti-tangle measures are in place to reduce hair wrapping around the brush. That lowers the number of mid-clean stops for brush maintenance and keeps suction consistently effective.Where it helps: Households with long-haired pets or family members will notice fewer clogs and less time spent trimming hair off the roller.

Strong 10,000 Pa suction

Benefit: With 10,000 Pa of suction power, the robot is positioned to pull up crumbs, pet hair, and embedded dirt from carpets and hard floors.Where it helps: Kitchens, entryways, and carpet edges that trap debris will see improved pickup compared with lower-suction models. (source: listing, checked 2025)

Vacuum + mop simultaneous cleaning with adjustable water flow

Benefit: The robot vacuums and mops in a single pass, with adjustable water flow for the mop module so you can adapt to light dusting or sticky spills.Where it helps: Quick cleanups after meals, everyday maintenance on hard floors, and light stain treatment without swapping attachments.

PreciSense LiDAR mapping and faster home scanning

Benefit: LiDAR maps your home reportedly six times faster, enabling the robot to plan efficient cleaning paths, detect carpets, and raise the mop when necessary.Where it helps: Larger homes or multi-room layouts benefit from faster initial mapping and more accurate path planning; carpeted areas are protected from unnecessary wetting because the mop lifts when carpet is detected. (source: listing, checked 2025)

Smart app control and customizable zones

Benefit: The app lets you set schedules, define No-Go Zones, and control cleaning modes remotely.Where it helps: If you want the robot to avoid pet bowls, baby gates, or a specific rug, the app-based controls make it easy to tailor behavior without physically blocking areas.

Carpet boost and mop-lift dual action

Benefit: When carpet is detected, suction increases automatically for a deeper carpet clean while the mop lifts to prevent wetting.Where it helps: Keeps carpets from being soaked while still pulling dust and hair from deeper fibers — useful in mixed-floor homes with both hard floors and area rugs.

Connectivity and power requirements

Benefit/limitation: The robot supports only 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi and is listed for 100–120V operation.Where it helps: Most home routers support 2.4 GHz, but if you run a 5 GHz-only network you’ll need to enable or add 2.4 GHz access. (source: listing, checked 2025)

Where to buy

Performance & Use

Setup tips

  • Dock placement: Put the dock on a level surface against a wall with a bit of free space around it so the robot can dock reliably.
  • Wi‑Fi: Ensure you have a 2.4 GHz SSID available and the password handy — the robot does not support 5 GHz-only networks. (source: listing, checked 2025)
  • First run: Allow the robot to complete an initial mapping run so the LiDAR can generate a base map you can edit in the app.

Daily/weekly use

  • Scheduling: Use the app to run smaller daily passes or a deeper clean a few times weekly depending on traffic and pets.
  • Mop maintenance: Expect to remove and wash the mop pad after damp mopping sessions; frequency depends on how dirty your floors are.
  • Brush care: Periodically remove long hair from the side brushes and roller even with the anti-tangle system — animal hair can still accumulate over time.

Maintenance and long-term care

  • Empty the dock only when the full indicator shows or on a monthly basis if you prefer — the dock’s capacity to hold up to seven weeks reduces frequency but doesn’t eliminate the need for disposal.
  • Replace filters and brushes per the manufacturer’s guidance (specific intervals not listed) to retain peak suction.
  • Wipe sensors and LiDAR cover gently to keep mapping accuracy high.

Practical notes on real-world performance

  • Suction listed at 10,000 Pa is strong on paper and should handle everyday dirt and pet hair well; deep pile carpets or very heavy soiling may still require periodic manual vacuuming or a deep-clean cycle. (source: listing, checked 2025)
  • Reactive Tech reduces, but does not eliminate, the chance of tangles or entrapment — removing very small cords or dense clusters of objects is still recommended for uninterrupted runs.
  • The mop-up-and-lift behavior when encountering carpet is a helpful safeguard in mixed-floor homes and avoids the common complaint of soaked rugs after mopping cycles.

Pros vs Cons

Pros Cons
Auto-empty dock can hold up to 7 weeks of dust, reducing maintenance trips (source: listing, checked 2025). Only supports 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi — no 5 GHz support (source: listing, checked 2025).
Strong 10,000 Pa suction for better pickup of crumbs, hair, and debris (source: listing, checked 2025). Exact runtime, battery capacity, and dustbin size are not listed — some buyers will want these numbers before purchasing.
LiDAR mapping (PreciSense) scans house faster and supports No-Go Zones and carpet detection (source: listing, checked 2025). Dock and robot footprint can take up significant floor space compared with simple chargers (docking footprint not specified).
Dual Anti-Tangle system reduces hair wrap and maintenance stops. Manufacturer package contents and weight/dimensions not specified in listing.
Mops and vacuums simultaneously with adjustable water flow and automatic mop lift on carpets. Mop pad replacement/consumable details and filter change intervals are not listed.

Who Should Buy

  • Busy households: If you want to minimize time spent emptying dustbins and want daily or scheduled cleaning without fuss, this unit’s auto-empty feature and app control are strong fits.
  • Pet owners: The dual anti-tangle system and increased suction make this attractive for homes with shedding pets.
  • Mixed-floor homes: The mop-lift on carpets plus carpet boost means it can manage both hard floors and area rugs without soaking carpets.
  • Tech-minded users: If you want mapping, No-Go Zones, and app customization, the LiDAR mapping and smart controls deliver those features.

Who Shouldn’t Buy

  • Users with 5 GHz-only Wi‑Fi: If you don’t have a 2.4 GHz network and can’t enable it, this robot will not connect (source: listing, checked 2025).
  • Buyers who need full spec transparency before purchase: Key details like battery runtime, weight, dustbin capacity, and exact dimensions are not listed, which may be a dealbreaker for some shoppers.
  • Very large homes without a router extension: While the robot maps efficiently, very large homes can require more careful placement of the dock or Wi‑Fi extenders to maintain reliable app control.
  • Those seeking the lightest, smallest dock footprint: The convenience of a large-capacity dock comes at the expense of more floor space for the base.

We have a 1000 square foot part of our home. Kitchen Family Room hallway two bedrooms.
We have a dog. No kids. Desired a vacuum only robot. Tried other styles: one that vacuum , mop and self empty. It was more work to empty , clean , refill. Made a dust mess on the outside after emptying. Tried another without mapping FAGETABOUTIT. Returned them both and bought this one.
Didn’t want an overly complicated robot.
Have this unit for about two weeks. Its mapping abilities are excellent. It seems to continue to learn the floor plan. Vacuums the wood floor, transitions to the carpet seamlessly
and even increases the suction on its own, leaving perfect lines on the carpet. Has multiple vacuum strengths. Can be loud on the higher settings. In sucked up something and made a bad noise. Called customer service, which was excellent m, and he walked me through the process. It sucked up an Emory board (not mine) and now I know how to easily remove an object accidentally sucked up.
The mopping features on this robot are easily removed on the app. Don’t consider this unit if you desire mopping. Personally, I think that with so many obstacles in an eat in kitchen, only a good mopping with elbow grease is gonna get the job done.Running a damp cloth over the floor may help but your still gonna have to mop.
I also just took the extended warranty. You get a month to use the machine first if you choose to take the insurance. For 30 bucks, why not?
In summary, an excellent unit. I see no reason to pay hundreds more.

I absolutely love my first robotic vacuum, but I’ve had mixed results. I have an older home with thresholds between each room and different floor types, including wall rugs, hardwood floors, and carpeted bedrooms, which is why I waited so long to purchase one.

After doing a great job mapping the house and vacuuming each room thoroughly, my vacuum began getting hung up on thresholds that it had no problem with previously. I discovered with the mop head installed, it could no longer cross the thresholds, so no mopping except in manual mood when I’m home placing it in the individual rooms.

I also close off certain rooms during the day when I’m at work to help keep the house cool. These rooms are in the middle of the robot’s pathing, so rather than continue cleaning the rest of the house, the robot says it can’t access an area and returns to its dock. I’m hoping there are ways around both of these issues, because I’m having to micromanage my house vacuuming/mopping rather than having a done for me.

This is by far my favorite appliances I’ve ever bought. I run it daily in my kitchen, sometimes more than once and love coming home to carpet lined in the bedrooms. It is sleek and sell up was extremely easy. It mapped my 2300 sq ft house in about 15 minutes and the map learns as it goes. Vacuum stuck on something? No problem, mark it as an obstacle for next time! No go zones keep it from tangling up in my under TV cords. Truly my favorite thing ever- will eventually upgrade to a big daddy model with the autofill mopping function!! 5 adjustable levels of suction make it cleaning amazing for any floor. Can be noisy on high levels

Previously had a popular brand that was TERRIBLE and took 5+ hours to map my home and still did a bad job.

The vital parts were missing. As seen in the picture, the charging dock, moisture-proof mat, power cable and mop cloth were nowhere to be found in the box. We only found the robot and its water tank in the box. Please immediately correct this for other customers.

I upgraded from an older Q6 to the Q8 and it’s a big improvement. The dual roller brush cleans my carpets much better than the Q6 ever did. The only downside is it doesn’t have a camera, so obstacle avoidance isn’t as good as my old Q6, but I still prefer it over the single-roller models. I have two Labs that shed constantly, so I run it every day — it helps tremendously, though I have to empty the bin daily because of all the dog hair. I don’t use the mop feature.

Honestly, without a doubt it’s the best gift my husband has given me. I already want him to buy another because we have a two-story house, and every time I carry it downstairs I’m afraid it might fall or get damaged.

We have two medium-large dogs that shed a lot, and the Roborock picks up their hair very well.

    CONS:

    • The dustbin is small and clogs easily. After cleaning one floor I have to empty it before cleaning the other.
    • Measure your beds carefully. Although it fits under most furniture, it won’t fit under two of our beds, so once a week I have to use a broom to pull the dog hair out from under them so the robot can pick it up.
    • The mopping attachment isn’t great. I’ve had the Roborock Pure for two weeks and only used mopping twice. Maybe because they recommend using only water, but it definitely leaves streaks, and I end up finishing the mopping by hand.
    • It sometimes climbs onto raised objects and gets stuck trying to get down. It always gets stuck on the base of my daughter’s swing.
    • It’s not as quiet as advertised.
    • You will need replacement parts eventually. I haven’t had to replace anything yet, but from what I’ve read it will likely be at least once a year. I’ll update this review when I make those replacements.

    PROS:

    • Picks up all the debris in its path.
    • The sensors are excellent, so I can run it while I’m at work without worrying it will fall down the stairs (except for the swing base area).
    • The app—although I didn’t know how to save two separate maps at first—after two or three cleanings it saved both floors. It shows them as one combined map, with overlap at the dock area (I only have the dock on the upper floor, but that zone appears on both maps).

Honestly, I’m just waiting for a good discount to buy another one, either the Roborock S6 or the Roborock S6 Pure.

This was a good purchase. I had a few gift cards from work and it was on sale so I got for just a little over $100! I have only used the vacuum part not the mopping but it does work really well. The app is easy to use and intuitive. It can be glitchy sometimes but that’s minor. The robot sucks up a lot of stuff even bobby-pins and a screw! I don’t recommend you let it do that tho bc I had to open it up and get those out of the robot.

When the pandemic and stay at home orders hit, my wife wanted me to vacuum the house. I immediately started looking for Robo Cleaners. Over the past six weeks, I have tried four different models. It was something I did not like about each of the first three.
I have a two story house with an elevated entry level that Robot cleaners cannot climb up to. That means I have in effect three floors on the house. In spite of promises, none of the other three could map and retain the maps for more than one floor at a time. The S6 pure can.
Also, the S6 maps using a laser guidance system, not a camera. I think it may be more accurate in navigating and finding things, and of course could do the job in total darkness since lasers don’t need the lights on to work. This mapping function actually divides the floor into multiple rooms, this is a function I had to perform manually on other models I tested. If one wants to of course one can of further combine or divide the rooms or set the boundaries anywhere you want manually. One thing I miss on this model that other models that is that other models allowed you to label the names of the room, where is this as he does not. This may be improved on a future software update. However, I can still figure out which is the living room and which is the dining room on the map it draws.
We have oriental rugs in some of the rooms. One of the other cleaners I tried promptly chewed up the fringes on the rug and curled it off. It sucked it into its apparatus and stopped and I had to freeze it. No matter what I tried to do or how low I placed the strings, , it constantly choked and had to be rescued every time it crossed the border of the oriental rug. (That one was returned in about two days.) The S6 nibbles the fringes a bit, but passes all of them OK. My wife did not like even that. On previous models, some allowed exclusion zones or no cross lines. This did not work. The no cross line did not work, because I want the vacuum to work on both sides of the line rather than just walling off a corner of the room. One of the other cleaners allowed you to map off a non-entry area. When I tried, the minimum width was something like 6 feet, which was way too large to use just on a fringe of an oriental carpet.
Finally I tried the S-6 Pure. This is a brand new model from this company. I usually don’t like to buy things just as they are released, but the clock was ticking and I had no choice. However, I am extremely pleased with the product. As I said, it is brand new so I assume that everything is as up-to-date and improved as possible. It does indeed map more than one floor, and it has map three floors in my house. It has also made a pretty good guess as to how to divide all the rooms on the floor. These are modifiable if you wish. As I said, so far you cannot label the rooms, but that is not really necessary. I tried the no-go zone on this one. Unlike the other cleaner I try it, this cleaner allows a no go zone of perhaps 1 foot in width. This is perfect for the fringes on the carpet. I selected a no go zone around the fringes of the oriental rug and let the cleaner loose. One was pretty much perfect and one just nipple devoid of a little bit. I adjusted the border of the no go zone to include completely the fringes. Now the robot zooms around the living room but avoids the fringes of the oriental rug. I also set little no go zones around the vents which are on the floor in this room, so that the Robot cleaner does not go over the metal grating.
This cleaner also has an option, which I have not tried yet, where it will vacuum at a lower strength on hard floors, but will sense when it is on a carpet or rug and increase the vacuum strength to vacuum these areas more heavily. This unit will also mop floors, obviously just smooth non-carpeted floors, but I really did not care about this function
(though it is nice to have!). I am glad it is there because it might be of some use in the future, especially for kitchen and bathrooms.
This unit has the largest battery size of the various sizes that are available in different manufacturers machines, so they charge more to list out as long as anybody else’s. It also has a vacuum setting which is among the strongest of the ones available in different models you might find.
One additional thing I should say is that their customer service appears to be excellent. I have emailed them multiple times with various dumb questions, and I usually get a response within a day. Another nice thing is that they actually appear to read my question and do not give a boilerplate response.
This is not the cheapest Robo vacuum cleaner on the market (not the most expensive), but if these features sound interesting to you, I have not found another cleaner even at a higher price that is it’s equal.

We have about 1,000 sq ft of living space (kitchen, family room, hallway, two bedrooms). We have a dog and no kids, and wanted a vacuum-only robot. I tried two other models first: one that vacuums, mops, and self-empties — but it was more work to empty, clean, and refill, and it left a dust mess on the outside after emptying. The other had no mapping capability — forget about it. I returned both and bought this unit because I didn’t want anything overly complicated.

I’ve had it about two weeks. Its mapping is excellent and it seems to keep learning the floor plan. It vacuums wood floors, transitions to carpet seamlessly, and automatically increases suction on carpet, leaving nice lines. There are multiple suction levels; it can be loud on the highest setting. It did suck up something that made a bad noise — customer service was excellent and walked me through removing it. Turned out to be an emery board (not mine), and now I know how to remove objects if that happens.

The mopping features are easy to disable in the app, but don’t buy this if you expect a true mop replacement. With an eat-in kitchen full of obstacles, a proper mop with elbow grease is still necessary — a damp cloth may help, but you’ll still have to mop manually.

I also bought the extended warranty — you get a month to try the machine before committing, and for $30 it seemed worth it. In summary: an excellent unit. I don’t see any reason to pay hundreds more.

Setup was a breeze. It’s surprisingly durable — it maps my home and dodges obstacles most of the time, though it does get tripped up by cords like you’d expect. It handles human hair really well, so I rarely have to clean the roller. Maintenance is simple: dust bags swap out easily and the filter is washable. The software is the highlight — I can set no-go zones, target specific rooms, and adjust suction power. The drawbacks are that it’s fairly loud and the battery life isn’t great; when I use higher suction it will return to the dock to recharge and then resume where it left off. Overall this is excellent value and makes it much easier to keep my hardwood floors clean, especially under the bed.

This little vacuum works great! We’ve had it for a little over a week, and are cleaning tile and laminate plank floors. We have dogs, and I wanted it mostly to clean up dog hair and greasy little dog footprints. It does an incredible job!

I have two suggestions for if you are purchasing this. I’m going to go and buy a second mop head, because the mop takes a long time to dry once you’ve cleaned it and in order to prevent a build up of nasty too-long-wet smell, I need a second one to replace it with while the first dries. Second, I do have dogs with long hair. While the vacuum does a great job sucking it up, it very quickly wasn’t able to push the giant hairball into the dust bin. So just make sure to check behind the dust bin every once in a while, as I quickly found that there was a not-quite-clog back there. Easy to deal with, and still way faster than vacuuming and mopping myself.

Oh – and if you want to share the vacuum with someone else in your household, get the app set up on their phone and then on yours, click the ‘share vacuum’ option. Don’t install the vacuum directly on their phone or it’ll turn it off on yours and you have to go through the whole QR scanning process again.

But really, this vacuum is a lot more effective than I thought it would be! I still have to spot mop deeper stains, especially since our laminate planks have some texture to them, but instead of having to do that daily I can now do that weekly. Well worth the money.

    Update:
This is still a great vacuum but just over a year after purchase and mother housing for the front wheel snapped. Customer service advised me to buy one on AliExpress since it was out of warranty. I opted to carefully super glue it back together, and purchase a spare on AliExpress for $5 (shipping is 2 months so if the glue fails in the future, I don’t want to have to wait that long).

The washable filter lasted almost a year. Generic replacements are cheap though. The only thing I haven’t been able to find a replacement part for on Amazon is the front wheel.

Original: This is my 3rd go at having a smart vacuum. My first one was the Bissel, one of those not-so-smart botvacs that just did random cleaning. It was unimpressive and then was replaced by Neato’s D3 connected. I had that one for 3 years before getting tired of the robot vac getting dumber over time and being so loud. This botvac isn’t much more quiet than the Neato, and is much louder than my ex’s Eufy, however, that’s my only complaint. The mapping is updated every time it runs, so you don’t have to worry about getting a perfect mapping run, and if you move furniture, it will adapt to that. Being able to schedule cleaning of a certain room or area is incredibly efficient. I have my two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, and bathroom all divided into separate rooms so each is on it’s own scheduled cleaning (Bath and beds on certain days, kitchen on another, etc…), but if I made a mess in the kitchen, I can have just that done without babysitting it. The washable filter, easy to empty dust bin, and ability to lightly mop while it vacuums are all huge benefits with this botvac.

    Pros:
    – Constantly updates it’s map, and able to have multiple floors mapped.
    – Receives software updates and is easy to update
    – Dust bin cleans easily and filter is washable
    – Able to lightly mop (not scrub, but no mop vacs can) and uses washable mop heads
    – Scheduled room specific cleaning is a godsend
    – Cleans very efficiently, and thus quickly. Twice as fast as my Neato Botvac was, with 3x the battery life to boot

    Cons:
    – Loud, probably around 53db. Slightly more quiet than the Neato Botvac, but louder than Eufy.

I received the product in terrible condition — it arrived clearly used, with dirt, scratches, and visible signs of wear. Very disappointed; I expected a brand-new item in perfect condition.

Essential components were missing from the box. As shown in the photo, the charging dock, moisture-proof mat, power cable, and mop cloth were not included — we only received the robot and its water tank. Please correct this immediately so other customers aren’t affected.

This robot vacuum is phenomenal. I’d heard horror stories about robot cleaners just roaming aimlessly, but this one is nothing like that — it maps the room and avoids obstacles intelligently. The mopping feature isn’t worth using for me, so I leave the pad off, but as a vacuum it works wonders. It can get confused around my dining table legs and will circle the area a lot, which drains the battery, but you can set it to avoid that zone. The cross-pattern it does on carpets looks great and picks up dirt extremely well; it might be even better if the rollers spanned the full width for fewer passes, but it still performs impressively. I carry it upstairs when needed — it only takes a minute — and the app is excellent, showing a detailed map of where it’s cleaned so you can see how methodical it is. Battery life is decent and depends on area size: a single quick clean will handle large floors, while the deep cross-pattern runs will use more power and the vacuum may return to dock around 20% and resume after charging. The dust bin fills up fast, which is proof of how well it picks up debris. It does fine on high-pile rugs, occasionally snagging but recovering on its own. Tidy up loose items before a run and you’ll come back to floors that look showroom-ready — my kids even named it “Dusty.”
