Privacy policy

The short version: there are no accounts, nothing you type into a calculator is sent to us or stored, and we never sell or trade information about you. The site is funded by ads, and the ads come from Google, which sets cookies to serve them. The section below says exactly what that involves and how to turn personalised advertising off.

This site shows ads through Google AdSense. Google selects and serves those ads; we do not choose them individually and we are not told who you are.

To do that, Google and its partners store and read cookies and similar device identifiers in your browser. They are used to serve ads, to cap how often you see the same one, and to measure whether an ad was seen or clicked. Where personalised advertising applies, the selection can draw on your previous visits to this site and to other sites across the web.

What Google never receives from us. We do not pass your name, your email address, or any number you type into a calculator to Google or to any ad partner. Those inputs are computed in your browser and never leave it, ads or no ads.

You can review or switch off ad personalisation for every Google product at once in Google My Ad Center. Google describes how it uses data from sites that run its ads in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Turning personalisation off does not remove the ads; it removes the targeting behind them.

Changing your mind. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland you are asked for consent before those cookies are set, and that answer is not final: the Privacy settings link at the bottom of any page reopens the same dialog, where you can change or withdraw what you agreed to. Outside those regions the dialog does not appear, and the Google controls linked above are the place to manage personalisation.

Anonymous analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to count page views and understand which tools people use. It is cookie-less and aggregates anonymized data — it does not identify you, follow you across sites, or build a profile. It is the only measurement we run ourselves; the advertising measurement described above is Google’s.

Calculator inputs stay with you. Everything you type into a calculator is computed in your browser. Room sizes, budgets, and any other numbers you enter are never sent to us or stored anywhere.

A theme preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device.

Email, if you write to us. Contacting info@viralrang.com shares your address and message with us; we use them only to reply and don’t add you to any list.
